Aston Martin has refreshed its DBX range yet again for both performance and refinement. Following the discontinuation of the standard DBX trim last year owing to poor demand, the more powerful DBX707 remained as the only option. The carmaker has now launched the DBX S, a new trim that further develops the 707's base with minor mechanical adjustments, new design cues, and more emphasis on light-weighting.

But it was truly the reimagined exhaust system, stacked vertical dual tips at each corner, that were a bold departure from convention.

Furthermore, Aston Martin's weight saving measures are also equally impressive; the optional 23-inch magnesium wheels save 18.5 kg, and the carbon roof — the largest single carbon piece ever applied to an Aston Martin — provides additional weight savings. Even the grille is new, as it takes inspiration from the DBS 770 Ultimate and removes weight at the nose to improve weight distribution. The Aston Martin DBX S gets an improved in-house infotainment system with seamless wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, and increased connected services. A 14-speaker Aston Martin Premium Audio system is standard, with an optional 23-speaker Bowers & Wilkins surround system, specifically tuned for the DBX S cabin.

Powering the DBX S is a recalibrated version of Aston Martin's twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8. Borrowing turbo tech from the Valhalla supercar, output climbs to 717 bhp. While the 0–100 kmph sprint remains at a blistering 3.1 seconds, the DBX S shaves valuable tenths off its 0–200 kmph time. The company further claims a top speed of 307 kmph.
Interestingly, the DBX S is not just about straight-line speed. Aston Martin retuned the SUV's nine-speed transmission for faster, crisper shifts in Sport and Sport+ modes. Steering responsiveness has also been tightened, making the DBX S feel more connected and agile.
Braking is handled by massive carbon-ceramic discs — 16.5 inches up front and 15.3 inches at the rear — ensuring that the SUV's immense power is matched by equally capable stopping performance.

Very often I think they drive with probably more pain than they would even admit, to be able to drive, because this is what they love to do. Over the last weeks, there was a mention here and there, but you are never aware how much it is, and over the weekend, I think it was just getting too much. " Further explaining how Stroll got the problem checked before the final race in Spain, he said, 'I think at the end of the day, on Saturday after Qualifying, Lance and his team decided it was better to go and check, go and check again, and the recommendation was better not to race.' The LEGO Technic Aston Martin Valkyrie has been unveiled as part of a wider collaboration between LEGO Technic and Gameloft Asphalt Legends UNITE gaming platform. As part of the partnership, gamers will now be able to play both the Aston Martin Valkyrie and the LEGO version in-game. The Lego version of the hypercar incorporates the key features of the original car. The LEGO Group has put together a 707-piece set to induce real-world-like aerodynamic curves, signature Podium Green livery, functional gullwing doors, and a top-mounted lever that controls the steering. While the LEGO Technic Aston Martin Valkyrie is a toy, it does possess a working V12 engine with moving pistons and a working differential. The Aston Martin and the LEGO Group have now been unveiled and have been slotted for their "official launch" on 1st August 2025. It is said to be priced around USD 60 (Rs 5,000 approx) and will be available with a single color option, which is Podium Green. While this model may not move on the roads, the LEGO Technic Aston Martin Valkyrie can be a fun drive in the corridors or a showpiece on the bookshelf. The Aston Martin Valkyrie has a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine developed by Cosworth and is paired with a hybrid unit. The hypercar is capable of producing a combined 1,160 hp and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 2.5 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 400 kmph.

Fernando Alonso to be only Aston Martin car in Spanish GP
Barcelona: Aston Martin have confirmed that Lance Stroll will miss the Spanish Grand Prix as the Canadian is scheduled to undergo a medical procedure following pain in his hand and wrist. Stroll took part in Qualifying at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Saturday and finished 14th but the team announced a few hours later that he will sit out the rest of the weekend. A statement released by Aston Martin read, 'Over the course of the past six weeks Lance has been experiencing pain in his hand and wrist, which his medical consultant believes is in relation to the procedure he underwent in 2023. As a result his medical team have confirmed that he will not race tomorrow and he will undergo a procedure to rectify these issues before focusing on his recovery.' Stroll suffered fractures and a broken toe in a cycling accident during the 2023 pre-season, which required surgery and a period of rehabilitation. Despite initial doubts from his medical team about whether he could compete in the early races, he made a successful return for the season opener in Bahrain, finishing an impressive sixth. Ahead of the 2024 season, Stroll revealed that he had adopted a more cautious approach to his training routine. Now in his seventh season with Aston Martin - having joined the team in 2019 when it was still operating as Racing Point - the 26-year-old currently holds 11th place in the Drivers' Championship with 14 points. His results have helped place the British team eighth in the Constructors' standings, while teammate Fernando Alonso, yet to score points this season, is set to start Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix from 10th on the grid. Due to the sporting regulations, Fernando will be their only car competing in the race.
