Royal Challengers Bengaluru celebrated their first IPL title victory in 18 years with captain Rajat Patidar and Krunal Pandya dancing to dhol beats in Ahmedabad.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Rajat Patidar and star allrounder Krunal Pandya were seen on Wednesday shaking a leg to dhol beats as the team got a rousing reception at their team hotel in Ahmedabad after clinching the Indian Premier League title after 18 years.
Pandya started with some Garba moves as Kohli and Mo Bobat entered the hotel. The latter was holding the coveted trophy.
Patidar, who is otherwise known to be a very calm figure on and off the field, couldn't stop himself as he joined the celebrations with his good friend Jitesh Sharma. Even the veteran Dinesh Karthik, who transformed from a player to batting coach and mentor, also danced a bit.

Bengaluru and ace India batter Virat Kohli washed away 18 years of hurt and disappointment on a dream Tuesday night, conquering the Punjab Kings by six runs to lift their maiden Indian Premier League title in Ahmedabad.
The final turned out to be a battle of nerves and Bengaluru channelled their years of disappointment and pain to come back roaring in the contest and seal a commanding win against Punjab.
A partisan crowd didn't give up on Bengaluru even as they struggled to find the flourish with the bat and ended up posting a total of 190/9 with superstar Kohli making a laborious 35-ball 43.
At the break, Bengaluru's total didn't look enough, but a persistent effort from their bowlers made the scoreboard pressure work in their favour.
With 29 needed off the final over, Bengaluru's victory over Punjab was sealed when Josh Hazlewood bowled the second consecutive dot ball.
Shashank Singh struck a valiant 61 not out off 30 deliveries (3x4s, 6x6s), but his effort came far too late as Punjab ended at 184/7.
Josh Hazlewood provided the first breakthrough, Krunal Pandya bowled a dream spell of 4-0-17-2 in a summit clash, but it was Romario Shepherd's dismissal of Punjab skipper Shreyas Iyer that indicated which way the match was headed.

Bengaluru stampede: Secretary, treasurer of Karnataka State Cricket Association resign
The secretary and treasurer of the Karnataka State Cricket Association have resigned from their posts, taking 'moral responsibility' for the stampede outside Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium that killed 11 persons and injured more than 50, reported PTI on Saturday. Shankar and Jairam's resignation came a day after the Karnataka High Court granted interim protection from arrest to senior officials of the Karnataka State Cricket Association, provided that they cooperate with the police, reported The Indian Express. The cricket association and the Royal Challengers Bangalore cricket team had approached the High Court in connection with the first information reports filed against them, The Indian Express reported. They had moved the court seeking that the case against them be quashed. On Thursday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah suspended Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda and several police officers. On Friday, the Karnataka Police arrested four persons, including Nikhil Sosale, the marketing head of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, along with event management firm DNA Entertainment Networks' Sunil Mathew, Kiran and Sumanth. Siddaramaiah also announced a judicial probe into the stampede, to be headed by retired Karnataka High Court judge Justice Michael D'Cunha. This inquiry will run alongside the earlier magisterial investigation already assigned to Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner Dayananda K Jagadeesha, The News Minute reported.

The letter, dated June 4, was a swift response to KSCA's request on June 3, but came with a comprehensive list of stringent conditions, anticipating a large gathering. The victory celebrations for RCB, which lifted the IPL trophy after 18 years, turned tragic on Wednesday as 11 people were killed in a stampede outside Chinnaswamy Stadium near the Vidhan Soudha. Foremost among the government's concerns was the potential for damage to the iconic Vidhana Soudha premises. 'As a large crowd is expected, precautions must be taken to ensure no damage is caused to the grand steps, statues, roads, or gardens," the letter stated, making it clear that KSCA would be liable for full repair costs in case of any mishap. Other key conditions included obtaining prior permissions from the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner, BBMP, and other authorities, ensuring no obstruction to traffic or office work, and maintaining strict cleanliness. Plastic items were strictly prohibited. Financial stipulations were also laid out, requiring a Rs 10,000 advance security deposit for refreshments and a non-refundable Rs 10,000 cleaning fee. Crucially, a substantial security deposit of Rs 15 lakh was mandated for tents and other arrangements. The government also insisted on mandatory certifications for any structural or electrical installations on the grand steps, emphasising the KSCA's sole responsibility for any untoward incidents. Further safety measures included the deployment of firefighters, fire tenders, and health department medical staff. Drone usage was strictly banned as the area is a no-drone zone. The letter also stipulated that furniture must be removed within three hours of the event's conclusion to avoid forfeiture of the security deposit, and that KSCA was responsible for identifying and managing invitees. The letter comes amid a blame-game between the government and the organisers over the event that killed 11 and led to over 45 being injured. CNN-News18 had earlier reported that Bengaluru Police were not in favour of the felicitation ceremony at the Vidhana Soudha. The chaos erupted with RCB announcing the victory parade in a social media post on Wednesday morning. What ensued was utter chaos—uncertainty over the parade's status, conflicting information about ticket requirements, poor communication, multiple rescheduling, and finally the tragedy. The chief minister had then blamed the Karnataka Cricket Association, which had organised the event, saying: 'We did not organise the event, the cricket association did. Our duty was to provide security. The crowd turnout should have been equal to the number of passes given. What can we do if more people come?
