Apple is considering tandem OLEDs for its 2028 iPhones
Apple is currently evaluating the optimal tandem OLED display for the iPhone, and it apparently prefers a simplified implementation to the one used on the most recent iPad Pros. A simplified tandem OLED would still consist of two panels, with the second OLED layer only including the blue subpixels, while the primary panel houses the red and green ones. LG Display has allegedly contacted Apple about a simplified tandem OLED display last year, and Apple is also in talks with its other key supplier - Samsung Display.
Apple usually operates a standard two-year schedule for development and mass production, and the new report suggests the earliest iPhone with a tandem OLED would appear in 2028. While the report does not go into detail about which model of the iPhone would receive the new display tech, it will likely be an exclusive feature for Pro models.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy A07 bag a new round of certifications
Samsung has already confirmed that it's launching the Galaxy Tab S11 series before the end of the year, and rumors have been swirling recently about both the S11 and S11 Ultra - these are expected to be the only members of the family. Now, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has been certified by 3C in China, with the model number SM-X930. It will support 45W wired charging as revealed before. Past rumors and leaks talked about the tablet being powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9400+ SoC, and having an 11,600 mAh battery, which is ever so slightly bigger than its predecessor's. When you're the top foundry in the world, you are obviously doing something right compared to the competition. Actually, you might look at this situation and ask, "What competition?" After all, TSMC's market share of approximately 67% is well above the share belonging to the second-place contract chip manufacturer, which is Samsung Foundry. The latter has only a 7.7% market share. TSMC has a client list (no, not THAT client list) that includes many of the top names in tech, including Apple, Nvidia, MediaTek, Qualcomm, and AMD. This is the first case involving semiconductors to be prosecuted under the Act. While TSMC has taken actions to protect its trade secrets, TSMC Chairman and CEO C.C. Wei has said that his foundry's technologies are difficult to duplicate. The company added that it will continue to strengthen its monitoring systems and it will continue to work with the relevant regulatory agencies "to protect our competitive advantage and operational stability."
