Forgotten Liverpool star who was hero of 2005 Champions League campaign now starring in world of professional FOOTGOLF
Florent Sinama Pongolle, who starred for the Reds between 2001 and 2006, shared a collection of videos of himself playing the new sport to his Instagram story.

The 40-year-old was playing on the Golf de Saint Donat, a course near Cannes in the south east of France.
As it turns out, the Frenchman also plays for the Havre footgolf club (HAC), following a two-year loan spell away from Liverpool with the team from 2001 to 2003 after joining their academy aged 11.
His first story saw the attacker blasting the ball towards the hole.
But a later story showed him pulling off an amazing shot for his 107,000 followers.
Sinama Pongolle was seen standing in the shade under a tree with the ball on the floor and the hole a decent distance away up a slope.
However, he managed to perfectly direct his shot and consider the bounce of the ball as he side-footed it up towards the hole.
The ball then veered to the left as it rolled along the uneven terrain before dropping into the hole.
Sinama Pongolle was all smiles as he fist pumped into the air in celebration.

Another angle of the video showed the pinpoint accuracy of his attempt as it rolled towards the hole and was caught up in the rougher grass area around the footgolf hole before sinking in.
Sinama Pongolle made 65 appearances for Liverpool during his time at the club, but was never a mainstay.
His Liverpool debut came in the Uefa Cup against NK Olimpija Ljubljana in October 2003 before scoring his first-ever Premier League goal against Leeds.
But his biggest contribution in a Reds shirt came during the 2005 Champions League campaign.
Coming off the bench, Sinama Pongolle scored the equaliser against Olympiacos to help Liverpool achieve a 3-1 win that secured the club's passage into the last 16.
However, during a League Cup tie against Watford in January, he picked up a season-ending knee injury.
This meant he played no further part in the season, including the Champions League final.
He would go on to have spells with the likes of Recreativo, Atletico Madrid, Sporting Lisbon and Chicago Fire before hanging up his boots in 2019 after a short spell with his hometown club, Saint-Pierroise.

Former Arsenal footballer Thomas Partey in court over rape charges
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has appeared in court charged with raping two women. The 32-year-old was granted conditional bail following a short hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court this morning. He faces five counts of rape and one of sexual assault. He is accused of two counts of rape against one woman and three counts of rape against another, with the sexual assault allegation relating to a third. Partey was charged four days after leaving the North London side when his contract expired at the end of June. Campaigners have criticised Arsenal for continuing to play the Ghanaian international in two Premier League title challenges while on bail over the accusations following his initial arrest in 2022. He played 35 games for Arsenal in the Premier League last season, scoring four goals. Members of the group Arsenal Supporters Against Sexual Violence held up a banner outside court reading 'Arsenal said: 'We do the right thing' – Then did nothing'. Manager Mikel Arteta defended the club's handling of the midfielder when quizzed about it during last month's pre-season tour of Asia, telling reporters he was '100%' confident they had followed the proper processes. Arsenal released a statement on July 4, the day of Partey's arrest, saying: 'The player's contract ended on June 30. More Trending 'Due to ongoing legal proceedings, the club is unable to comment on the case.' Partey, whose lawyer previously said he 'denies all the charges against him', is close to joining Villarreal on a free transfer. He is understood to have completed his medical having agreed personal terms for a return to Spain, where he has previously played for Atlético Madrid, Mallorca and Almería. Partey's court appearance comes a day before Arsenal host Villarreal in a friendly at the Emirates. Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez attracting overseas transfer interest
Darwin Nunez is attracting interest from AC Milan and Al Hilal, with Liverpool reportedly willing to sell the striker for the right price. Liverpool recently signed Hugo Ekitike for £69m and had a £110m bid for Alexander Isak rejected by Newcastle. Nunez, Liverpool's club-record signing in 2022, scored only seven goals in 47 appearances last season, often featuring as a substitute. AC Milan has raised funds from player sales, potentially enabling a move for Nunez, following an earlier bid from Napoli. Liverpool is set to raise significant transfer funds this summer, with Tyler Morton nearing a £15m move to Lyon and West Ham and Wolves interested in Ben Doak.
