VANCOUVER, BC, June 4, 2025 /CNW/ - Nevada King Gold Corp. (TSXV: NKG) (OTCQB: NKGFF) (" Nevada King" or the " Company") is pleased to report an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (" MRE") for its 12,000 hectare (120km 2), 100% owned Atlanta Gold Mine Project, located in the prolific Battle Mountain Trend, 264km northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada. The MRE was prepared by RESPEC (formerly Mine Development Associates) based out of Reno, Nevada, a group with unmatched experience working with Nevada-based deposits.
Atlanta Resource Highlights:
Measured and Indicated ("M&I") resources: 27.7 million tonnes (Mt) at an average gold grade of 1.14g/t for 1,019,600 ounces of contained gold, representing a more than doubling (122% increase) of M&I resources compared to the 2020 resource estimate, highlighting the success of the Company's Phase I & II resource definition drilling campaigns. 91% of the total gold ounces are categorized within the higher confidence M&I categories, with just 9% in the inferred category (see Table 1).

Table 1. Pit-constrained MRE summary for Atlanta
High-grade core: M&I resources include a high-grade core of 524koz Au averaging 3.99g/t Au at a 2 g/t AuEq cut-off grade (" COG"). This high-grade core alone contains more ounces than the 2020 M&I resource estimate and at more than triple (207% increase) the average grade.
Open-pit, oxide gold system: This pit-constrained, oxide resource applies a US$2,200/oz gold price and assumes recoveries and processing methods from the Company's Phase 1 metallurgical test work program, which outlines conventional Nevada oxide processing methods at Atlanta (link here).
Significant growth potential: Today's resource covers the Atlanta Resource zone and does not incorporate mineralization encountered in the Company's Phase III drilling, including the recent discovery of gold and silver mineralization at Silver Park. Management sees clear potential for continued resource expansion with mineralization open to the north, south and west of the resource zone, as well as the potential for finding regional satellite deposits.
Collin Kettell, CEO of Nevada King, stated: "This updated MRE was prepared by RESPEC, a highly regarded engineering firm that represents the gold standard for Nevada projects. The results mark a major milestone at Atlanta, confirming a high-grade and high-confidence oxide gold system in one of the most sought-after jurisdictions in the world. We are pleased to exceed the 1Moz Au threshold in the M&I category while maintaining the grade of oxide mineralization well above 1 g/t. Today's results highlight the success of our Phase I and II drill programs and validate our technical team's geological model and drilling since 2021. With this MRE under our belt, we will continue our quest to unlock the full potential of the Atlanta district. Our fully funded, aggressive Phase III exploration drill program is aimed at demonstrating Atlanta's multi-million-ounce potential."
Cal Herron, Exploration Manager of Nevada King, remarked: "Atlanta is a unique system with multiple instances of high-grade gold deposition. These high-grade zones, which play prominently into today's resource estimate, were a key target of our Phase II drill program.
"When we began our work at Atlanta, the resource totaled 460,000 M&I ounces averaging 1.30 g/t. Today's resource update more than doubles that figure and includes significantly more high-grade material, which is largely the result of thicker, higher-grade intercepts within the West Atlanta Graben Zone. We see clear potential for expansion of this zone to the south, north and west with the possibility of finding additional elevated high-grade zones.
"The Company's unwavering support behind its technical team coupled with its commitment to seeing the exploration program completed made it possible to boost a modest deposit into a high-grade, +1 Moz deposit – a rare achievement for open pit oxide deposits in safe jurisdictions. That same tenacity is still at play today, pushing our Phase III exploration forward throughout the Atlanta District in search of new deposits."
2025 Mineral Resource Estimate
Open pit oxide resources to be processed at a mill are estimated at 14.5Mt grading 1.72g/t Au for 803koz of contained gold in the M&I category, while 1.0Mt grading 2.24g/t for 70koz of contained gold are in the Inferred category.
Open pit oxide resources to be processed via a heap leach are estimated at 13.2Mt grading 0.51g/t Au for 216koz of contained gold in the M&I category, while 2.7Mt grading 0.34g/t for 29koz of contained gold are in the Inferred category.

Table 3. Mineral resource estimate by lithology and processing method
The Mineral Resources have been prepared by Jeff Bickel, C.P.G of RESPEC (formerly Mine Development Associates) in conformity with CIM "Estimation of Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserves Best Practices" guidelines and are reported in accordance with the Canadian Securities Administrators National Instrument 43-101 (" NI 43-101"). Mineral Resources are not Mineral Reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability. There is no certainty that all Mineral Resources will be converted into Mineral Reserves.
The project mineral resources are estimated using a variable gold equivalent (AuEq) cut-off grade. Gold Equivalent (AuEq) equation: AuEq = (US$2,200/oz Au / US$25/oz Ag) * (Gold Recovery / Silver Recovery). Gold and Silver Recoveries were variable based on grade and material type (See table below for recovery equations).
Heap leach material cut-off grade of 0.14 g/t AuEq, heap leach dump/pad material cut-off grade of 0.14 g/t AuEq, mill material cross over-grade of 2.34 g/t AuEq, and mill breccia material cut-off grade of 0.33 g/t AuEq within an optimized pit.
Mineral Resources within the optimized pit with a slope angle of 45 degrees.
Additional inputs for Whittle pit-optimization include: mining costs of US$2.17/tonne mined; remining costs of US$1.63/tonne mined for dump/pad material; heap leach costs of US$3.28/tonne processed, milling costs of US$13.53/tonne processed, and general and administrative costs of US$0.96/tonne processed.
The reported MRE have been constrained within optimized pit shells using a gold price of US$2,200/oz Au and a silver price of US$23.91/oz Ag. These metal prices, as well as the metal recoveries summarized below, were used to calculate cut-off grades and contained ounces.
The MRE is based on 93,461.5m in 468 drill holes, with 76,933.8m in 407 holes drilled by Nevada King from 2020-2024 and the remainder by previous operators between 1997-2015.
A technical report on the MRE will be prepared in accordance with NI 43-101 and will be filed within 45 days of this news release on Nevada King's issuer profile on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.ca.
This MRE has an effective date of September 6, 2024.
Rounding may result in apparent discrepancies between tonnes, grade, and contained metal content.

Table 4. Mineral resource estimate changes from 2020 to 2025
MRE Methods
The effective date of the MRE is September 6, 2024. RESPEC (formerly Mine Development Associates) worked with Nevada King to create three-dimensional geological models based on original cross-sections supplied by Nevada King which were the basis for the interpretation of mineralization of the deposit leading to the MRE. Gold and silver mineral resources were modeled and estimated as follows:
Define mineral domains based on the Atlanta geological model and geostatistical analysis of drillhole data.
Create polygons of explicitly modeled cross-sectional interpretations of constrained low-, medium- and high-grade mineral-domains for both gold and silver snapped to drillholes. The grade domains were guided by the geological model and integrated other relevant geological information.
Rectified the cross-sections on evenly spaced long-section polygons which has plane locations coinciding with the resource block model centroids along y-axis columns.
Coded a block model to the gold and silver domains using the mineral-domain long-section polygons.
Composited drill hole assay sample data within the mineralized domains into 1.5 m length composites.
Analyzed the modelled mineralization geostatistically to aid in the establishment of estimation and classification parameters, and
Interpolated grades into block models using the gold and silver mineral domains to explicitly constrain the grade estimations. RESPEC utilized Inverse Distance Squared (ID2) interpolation for the estimation to obtain a localizing effect in the mid- and high-grade domains to best represent the spatial distribution of mineralization in the deposit. All estimates are based on a block dimension of 1.5 m by 1.5 m by 1.5 m.
Resource sensitivity at various cut-offs
The following table considers average cut-off within the optimized pit for the purposes of demonstrating overall sensitivities.
Table 4. Mineral resource estimate sensitivities based on cut-off.
1. This table is only included to demonstrate the sensitivity of changes in cut-off grade and the values should be considered a subset of existing mineral resources.
2. Rounding as required by reporting guidelines may result in apparent discrepancies between tonnes, grade, and contained metal content.
Next Steps
Exploration continues with the Company's ongoing Phase III drill program, which was recently expanded to 30,000m from 20,000m and is fully funded. The Phase III program is focused on regional drilling and with gold and silver mineralization identified at Silver Park, Atlanta South, and Atlanta North exploration targets, these areas will continue to be the focus of the exploration program with potential to further increase the drill program through the rest of the year. In addition to continued exploration, the company will also continue to de-risk the project through further metallurgical test work, geotechnical work, environmental studies, and permit planning.
QA/QC Protocols
All Reverse Circulation (RC) samples from the Atlanta Project are split at the drill site and placed in cloth and plastic bags utilizing a nominal 2kg sample weight. CRF standards, blanks, and duplicates are inserted into the sample stream on-site on a one-in-twenty sample basis, meaning all three inserts are included in each 20-sample group. Samples are shipped by a local contractor in large sample shipping crates directly to American Assay Lab in Reno, Nevada, with full custody being maintained at all times. At American Assay Lab, samples were weighted then crushed to 75% passing 2mm and pulverized to 85% passing 75 microns to produce a 300g pulverized split. Prepared samples are initially run using a four acid + boric acid digestion process and conventional multi-element ICP-OES analysis. Gold assays are initially run using 30-gram samples by lead fire assay with an OES finish to a 0.003 ppm detection limit, with samples greater than 10 ppm finished gravimetrically. Every sample is also run through a cyanide leach for gold with an ICP-OES finish. The QA/QC procedure involves regular submission of Certified Analytical Standards and property-specific duplicates.
The PQ-diameter core was sampled in the Company's warehouse in Winnemucca, Nevada, with whole core samples being placed in heavy canvas bags and sent to American Assay Lab in Reno, Nevada, in heavy shipping bags by a Company contractor with full custody being always maintained. CRF standards and coarse blanks were inserted into the sample stream on a one-in-twenty sample basis, meaning both inserts are included in each 20-sample group. At American Assay Lab, samples were weighted, and then completely crushed to -1 inch. The coarse-crushed sample was quarter-split, and one quarter was reduced to 75% passing 2mm. A 300g split was subsequently pulverized to 85% passing 75 microns.

BC green lights LNG pipeline, with no need for new environmental assessment

The British Columbia government says a decade-old environmental assessment certificate remains valid for the construction of a natural gas pipeline in northern BC, in a decision opposed by the province's Green Party and environmental groups. The Environmental Assessment Office says it has determined the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission pipeline has "substantially started," fulfilling a requirement of the 2014 certificate and allowing the project to proceed without a new assessment. The original approval was for a roughly 900-kilometre pipeline between Hudson's Hope in northeastern BC and Lelu Island near Prince Rupert, the site of a liquefied natural gas processing facility that has since been cancelled. The pipeline was purchased by the Nisga'a Nation and Texas-based Western LNG last year to supply natural gas to the proposed Ksi Lisims LNG facility, a project the province says is still undergoing environmental assessment. The province says the office is also reviewing requests by the proponent to change the pipeline route, including shifting its end point to the Ksi Lisims facility and rerouting the eastern portion of the pipeline. The BC Greens say in a statement that upholding the original certificate is "reckless," prioritizing the project's American financial backers over Indigenous rights, environmental protection and community well-being. "It's outrageous that the government is allowing construction to proceed with no approved terminus, using an outdated plan, and threatening one of the province's most sensitive salmon habitats, all to serve the interests of foreign-owned fossil fuel companies," the Greens' interim leader, Jeremy Valeriote, says in the statement. "This is a betrayal of environmental stewardship, Indigenous rights, and a threat to sustained climate action in this province," Valeriote says. The pipeline is partly financed by the US private equity firm Blackstone, which the Greens described as a major Republican donor with ties to US President Donald Trump. The Greens' statement also noted that the US engineering and construction company Bechtel had been selected to construct the pipeline. Western LNG called the substantially started ruling "a significant milestone in the path toward delivering responsible, Indigenous-led energy infrastructure" in BC. Eva Clayton, president of the Nisga'a Lisims Government, says in a statement released by Western LNG that the ruling was "an important step — not just for (the pipeline), but for the Nisga'a Nation's vision of self-determination and long-term prosperity." The project is opposed by the nearby Lax Kw'alaams Band and Ts'msyen hereditary chiefs, who the Greens say claim jurisdiction over Pearse Island, the site of the proposed Ksi Lisims terminal. Gitanyow hereditary chiefs have also opposed the project based on concerns over Nass River salmon, the Greens add. Thursday's statement from the province says the Environmental Assessment Office began its review last November in order to make a determination of whether the project had been "substantially started" within the 10-year deadline. It says the office looked at construction and other activities by the proponent up to the deadline of Nov. 25, 2024, and found the condition was met. The review included a field assessment of the project, documentation from the pipeline proponent and "information from First Nations, Gitanyow hereditary chiefs, Gitxsan Wilps and members of the public," the statement says. The Greens' statement says construction activities moved ahead last summer on a portion of the pipeline's right-of-way in order to avoid expiry of the original permit. The environmental group also issued a statement calling the decision to uphold the decade-old certificate as a "slap in the face" of BC's climate plan. The decision follows the release of BC's climate accountability report, which showed the province is already set to miss its climate targets, the group says.

Two high-conviction stocks to leverage record gold prices

At the time of writing on Thursday, gold traded at US$3,373.3 per ounce, just shy of the all-time-high set just last month, having gained over 40 per cent year-over-year and almost 100 per cent since 2020, reinforcing its reputation as a safe-haven investment during economically trying times. Gold's gains have mitigated risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, which dropped the TSX by 30 per cent in March 2020; inflation driven by quarantines lifted across the globe; ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East; as well as renewed price pressures from U.S. president Trump's global tariff initiative. At the same time, higher gold prices are improving economics from exploration to production, enticing investors back into the space now that there's real money to be made. The lowest-hanging fruit in the gold stock universe will likely be found in producers with differentiated income statements and balance sheets, most of their growth likely behind them, making them best suited for moderate long-term returns. There is, however, a higher risk-reward option capable of delivering potentially exponential returns, supposing you're willing to size up early-stage mining projects and stick with them through development and hopefully production. We're of course talking about junior mining stocks, whose underlying pre-revenue operations rely on geological expertise, mining cycle timing and sound capital allocation to traverse the often volatile path to shareholder value. In the newest edition of Stockhouse's Weekly Market Movers, I'll introduce you to a pair of junior gold stocks equipped with assets and management teams worth believing in when it comes to generating leverage beyond the gold price. Chesapeake Gold Our first high-conviction stock to optimize your gold exposure is Chesapeake Gold, market cap C$96.44 million, whose flagship Metates project in Durango State, Mexico, hosts one of the largest undeveloped gold-silver deposits in the world. Metates' resource comes in at an estimated 16.77 million ounces of gold measured and indicated and 2.13 million ounces inferred, representing over US$60 billion in gold in the ground. The project's 2021 preliminary economic assessment details a pre-tax net present value of C$1.43 billion and initial capital costs of only C$359 million at heavily discounted base cases of US$1,600 gold and US$22 silver. Supported by C$11 million in treasury at year-end 2024, Metates' ample room for resource expansion, a management team with decorated histories in exploration and development in the Americas, as well as a recent acquisition of sulfide leaching technology that vastly increases recoveries and project economics (slide 8), there's no good reason Chesapeake should be trading at a 90 per cent discount to its peers on an enterprise value/ounces basis (slide 16). Jean-Paul Tsotsos, Chesapeake Gold's chief executive officer (CEO), spoke with Stockhouse's Lyndsay Malchuk about the benefits of the company's news sulfide leaching technology. Watch the interview here. Chesapeake Gold stock (TSXV:CKG) has given back 41.91 per cent year-over-year and 65 per cent since 2020. Shares last traded at C$1.40. Our second high-conviction junior gold stock, Tectonic Metals, market cap C$37.37 million, was founded by a team whose past successes speak for themselves, as highlighted by ushering Kaminak's Coffee gold project from a C$3 million venture through bankable feasibility, followed by a C$520 million sale to Goldcorp (now Newmont). As a whole, the team is responsible for: Over 30 million ounces in gold discoveries. 18 feasibility studies. 20 projects permitted. More than $3 billion in M&A transactions. More than $2 billion in capital raised. Tectonic is keen on expanding its track record with its flagship Flat gold project in Alaska, located only 40 kilometres from Novagold's Donlin project, host to one of the largest undeveloped gold deposits in the world at an estimated 39 million ounces. The 99,800-acre Flat has yielded 1.4 million ounces in historical placer gold production and delivered a 100-per-cent drill success rate to date, intersecting gold in all 86 drill holes across 3 kilometres of mineralized strike up to 325 metres deep. The company has identified six potential district-scale deposits on the project, granting Flat multi-million-ounce potential. With numerous analogous mines (slide 17) strengthening Flat's case for a company-making initial resource estimate, and C$12.5 million in funding in place for phase-I drilling to follow up on 2024's Alpha Bowl discovery – 65.53 metres grading 1.22 grams per ton (g/t) of gold – Tectonic is a reasonable candidate for transforming robust exploration upside into an outsized stock price re-rating. Tectonic Metals stock (TSXV:TECT) is up by 12.5 per cent year-over-year but remains down by 59.09 per cent since 2020. Canada's competition watchdog publishes final greenwashing guidelines

Businesses can make environmental claims — only if they aren't false or misleading and have been properly substantiated, according to new Canadian anti-greenwashing guidelines. The guidelines released Thursday by Canada's Competition Bureau are intended to help companies comply with anti-greenwashing laws introduced last June. Businesses making environmental claims will require an assessment, not only of the literal wording of the claim, but also of the general impression created by the advertisement as a whole, including the words, images and layout, the bureau said. The new rules elicited both praise and swift backlash. 'The bureau's guidance is important, but it is really just one piece of the puzzle, and it is not determinative,' said Keldon Bester, executive director of the Canadian Anti-Monopoly Project, an Ottawa-based think tank focused on economic competition issues. After the amended legislation came into force last summer, corporate Canada clamoured for clarity on how it would apply, so this guidance should answer some of their questions, but the real test will be the cases the bureau decides to pursue and how they fare in front of competition tribunals, Bester said. But it is encouraging to see the bureau 'matching the spirit of the law,' he said. INSERT ALBERTA ENVIRONMENT AND PARKS MINISTER REBECCA SCHULZ STATEMENT Canada's competition watchdog published finalized guidance to help corporate Canada navigate the new greenwashing rules that came into force last summer 'The new guidelines appear to get to the heart of the matter,' Green Party Leader Elizabeth May said in an emailed statement to Canada's National Observer. "'Greenwashing' is just another form of untruthful advertising. We need enforceable 'truth in advertising' laws and these guidelines move in that direction,' May said. The bureau's guidance explained that if a Canadian business claimed in its marketing that it was on its way to net-zero emissions by 2050 and 'had good intentions about reducing greenhouse gases' — but made the claim before making a clear, evidence-backed plan to reach net-zero — that would be inadequate. Keith Stewart, senior energy strategist for Greenpeace Canada called this the 'Pathways clause,' in reference to the Pathways Alliance's ad campaign. In 2023, the bureau launched an investigation into the oilsands lobby group's campaign, 'Let's clear the air,' after Greenpeace Canada filed a complaint alleging net-zero claims in the ads were false or misleading. After the new greenwashing laws came into force last summer, Pathways Alliance removed all of the content related to its 'Let's clear the air' campaign from its website, social media and other public communications. The Competition Bureau dropped the investigation a few months later, in December 2024, according to a letter Greenpeace Canada shared with Canada's National Observer. 'Given that the representations that were the subject of this inquiry are no longer publicly available, as well as the Commissioner's discretion with respect to the assignment of limited resources, the Commissioner has decided to discontinue the inquiry at this time,' reads the letter to Greenpeace Canada. 'You don't have to read very far between the lines … to see that Pathways was going to lose that case, which is probably why they took all those ads down so quickly,' Stewart said. 'I think the Competition Bureau essentially said, 'OK, we're going to give you a mulligan on this one. We're not going to go after you because you took all the ads down … and we're now putting it in black and white, clarifying the rules around what constitutes greenwashing on net-zero claims, so don't do it again',' he said. 'You'll notice Pathways no longer talk about being on the path to net-zero.' The Pathways Alliance did not respond to a request for comment on the new guidelines. Alexandre Boulerice, NDP critic for environment and climate change, said deceptive marketing practices, particularly greenwashing, are a major problem because it misleads consumers and 'hurts public trust in a genuine green transition.' The new rules could be a step in the right direction, but consumers must know that they can report deceptive or false advertising and file a complaint, Boulerice said in an emailed statement to Canada's National Observer. 'Additionally, the Bureau requires the resources and capacity to carry out all those inquiries,' Boulerice said. Boulerice said the next few months will tell whether the federal government is serious about this issue. The Conservative Party and Bloc Québécois did not respond to a request for comment. Although the legislation and guidelines could both be stronger, 'the new guidelines should quiet the trumped-up backlash from parts of corporate Canada,' said Emilia Belliveau, Environmental Defence's energy transition program manager, in a Thursday press release.
