Bhadrak, Aug 3 (PTI) The police on Sunday arrested two persons, including a former employee, for their alleged involvement in the armed robbery of a small finance bank in Odisha's Bhadrak district, police said.
Four masked men stormed into the bank on June 11 and looted Rs 7.54 lakh at gunpoint. Following the incident, bank officials lodged a complaint at Tihidi Police Station, prompting an investigation.
During the course of the probe, police recovered Rs 2,000 in cash, four mobile phones, and one vehicle used in the crime.
The arrested accused persons have been identified as Pralhad Raut, a former employee of the bank, and Anil Behera of Kandhamal district.

The first FIR pertains to the alleged physical assault on four individuals from three YouTube channels, including a cameraman, who were reportedly interviewing a local person when the mob targeted them. This complaint also includes the vandalism of two vehicles used by the content creators and an attack on a reporter from a private TV channel. The second FIR concerns incidents of unlawful assembly reported at three locations: Pangala near Dharmasthala (where police had to resort to a lathi charge), the Dharmasthala police station premises, and outside a local hospital. These disturbances took place as tensions escalated following the initial attack. Chaos erupted at the Dak Bungalow crossing here on Thursday after police resorted to lathi-charge to disperse aspirants demanding that the Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) be conducted before the Teachers Recruitment Exam (TRE-5). Protesters claimed that several people were injured in the baton charge.(PTI) "The demonstrators gathered near Dak Bungalow crossing and disrupted traffic movement. The protestors also tried to jump across the barricades. Despite repeated requests by security personnel, they refused to vacate the roads. Mild force was used to disperse protestors," Patna (Central) SP Diksha told PTI. Protesters claimed that several people were injured in the baton charge, which the officials denied.
