Itauma will be aiming to take another huge step towards a world heavyweight title shot with victory over his fellow Brit.
The exciting youngster is ranked No1 by the WBO after he knocked out Mike Balogun in May to take his flawless record to 12-0.
Itauma is the big favourite to beat veteran Whyte, who is almost double his age.
The Bodysnatcher is looking to pull off a huge upset as he looks to revive his career after underwhelming wins against Christian Hammer and Ebenezer Tetteh in 2024.
A win for Whyte could potentially set up a blockbuster rematch with Anthony Joshua or a trilogy bout against Derek Chisora.
But defeat may see the 37-year-old's time as a top heavyweight come to an end.

Brentford boss Keith Andrews does not know how Yoane Wissa's transfer situation will play out. Wissa was not involved in Sunday's Premier League opener at Nottingham Forest, where the Bees went down to a 3-1 defeat. The 28-year-old wants to follow Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Norgaard out of the club during the summer transfer window, with Newcastle strongly linked with a bid, and Andrews said before the match he was not in the right head space to play. 'It's a day-by-day one in terms of Wiss,' the Irishman said. 'As far as I know nothing else has happened today, definitely didn't yesterday, so as it was really. 'I have no idea what the situation will be, I have been up here since yesterday so we will deal with that during the week. 'Hopefully it can resolve itself sooner rather than later.' Andrews, whose first game in management could not have gone much worse as Forest rampaged to a 3-0 half-time lead thanks to Chris Wood's double and Dan Ndoye's header, insists the club-record signing of Dango Ouattara will not start a domino effect of movement. 'We weren't really aware he would be available, as soon as we knew it was a pretty easy decision to get him on board. 'Thankfully the club have been able to do that and it is a really significant investment for us. It will be a brilliant investment.' Forest made a mockery of Nuno Espirito Santo's pre-match worries. Nottingham Forest made a mockery of Nuno Espirito Santo's pre-match worries as they beat Brentford 3-1 in their opening game of the Premier League season. Nuno expressed his 'concern' for the campaign ahead of the match, citing a lack of options in his squad, but he will feel better after a rampant display at the City Ground. With more signings to come and a Europa League journey to look forward to after last season's seventh-place finish, Forest fans may have more optimism than their manager after this opener. It was the start that new Brentford boss Keith Andrews would have dreaded. With Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Norgaard sold over the summer and Yoane Wissa effectively on strike trying to force a move away, Andrews has not been handed the easiest of tasks in his first managerial role. Advertisement Igor Thiago got the Bees on the scoresheet with a second-half penalty, but life after Thomas Frank began poorly. Forest had only scored one goal in six excruciating pre-season friendlies, but they needed just six minutes to break the deadlock. Elliot Anderson's corner fell to Wood and the striker picked up where he left off last season by slamming home the loose ball from close range. Such was the novelty of scoring a goal, the celebrations on the touchline were wild, with goalkeeping coach Rui Barbosa needing medical treatment after hitting his head on the roof of the dugout and suffering a nasty cut. But Forest continued to dominate and two goals in five minutes before half-time sent them into dreamland. In the 42nd minute Gibbs-White arced in a delicious cross for Ndoye to send a flying header into the top corner.
