CHRIS Eubank Jr and Conor Benn are finally clashing RIGHT NOW in a huge bout at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Egg slaps and an already cancelled fight make this one of the most hotly anticipated clashes in UK boxing history, with their fathers' two previous fights in the 1990s only adding fuel to the fire.
Chris Eubank Sr holds one victory over Nigel Benn, with the second bout three years later ending in a draw.
Now, 35 years after the first clash, Eubank Jr and Benn contest the family trilogy that never was in the 90s, with the Benns looking to finally get one over the Eubanks.

Anthony Yarde wins!
Wow I didn't think the scorecards would be as wide as that!
Anthony Yarde takes eight rounds for two of the judges, while the other judge gives him seven.
I think eight is probably a few too many, but perhaps the judges appreciated his activity and forward movement over Arthur's counter-punching and patience.
Huge result for both men, though. Anthony Yarde as put himself back into contention for a world title fight - you would think - while Lyndon Arthur will have to go back to the drawing board.

Yarde vs Arthur – R12
Arthur's corner: "Why are you f***ing sitting there, we told you to get off the ropes!"
Final round and there is very little between these two, this round is going to be absolutely massive!
Better start from Arthur as he heeds his corners advice and starts working from the centre of the ring, landing a nice combo.
But Yarde is so physically strong that he just shoves him back onto the ropes and gets back to work.
Arthur can't get out of there and with 90 seconds to go Yarde is definitely on top.
You can hear the screams from both corners as the two fighters continue to engage in a gruelling physical battle.
Yarde impressing with more shots to the body but and much, much more activity, even if they aren't the cleanest shots around.
Arthur still continues to throw and lands a beautiful uppercut that just knocks Yarde's head back.
Into the final 20 seconds and both continue to throw.
The final bell goes! I have absolutely no idea what way that one is going to go.
Arthur had the first half of the fight and Yarde the second half, but it could go any way.

Yarde vs Arthur – R11
Penultimate round.
"Excellent, keep it up, this is your time now," are the words coming from Yarde's corner.
Yarde is right back into this now and is looking much bouncier and lively with two rounds to go.
The pair then get right back on top of each other and both continue to throw and have limited success.
Yarde lands a nice straight right on the nose but there's not much power in that one.
Arthur continues to be stuck on the ropes and throw and throw and throw.
More to the body from Yarde and at the end of that round he starts landing a lot of shots.
Arthur no longer moving out the way like he did!
One of those body shots absolutely crunched Arthur and he does not look happy going back to his corner!
Massive round incoming!

Yarde vs Arthur – R10
Three rounds left here, I have Arthur ahead but Yarde is still looking really dangerous and has clawed some rounds back in the last couple.
The fight falls back into the same pattern with Arthur backed up against the ropes and Yarde trying to find some shots.
Yarde is dictating the style but you couldn't say he's controlling the fight.
Arthur continues to not allow Yarde to land much clean and he is throwing decent shots back that will also have the judges impressed.
However, it's not clear how much of a physical toll this will be taking on the Mancunian, who is being bodied by the barrel-chested Londoner.
Case in point when Arthur has the chance to spin out of his position on the ropes but is too tired to get out of there.
Yarde continues to work the body as well as upstairs and Arthur's legs just start to look heavy as he trudges back to the corner.
He didn't like that at all.

Yarde vs Arthur – R9
Yarde is still piling forward but he's not causing much trouble at all.
He continues to put in more workrate but the shots aren't coming clean and Arthur is comfortable working defensively off the ropes and landing counters.
There are some good shots coming in by both men.
Arthur manages to get a bit of distance and lands a lovely left before Yarde comes right back onto his shoulder to try and work up close.
Both men are putting everything into this.

Sr speaks
A quick word from Chris Eubank Sr between rounds...
"I'm here, whether I'm in the corner or sat ringside, I'm here."
He then addresses Conor Benn directly to camera: "Conor, it's not fair to say I don't like my son, I love my son..
"I may not like some of his ways, but I love him."

Yarde vs Arthur - R8
Lovely start to the round from Arthur who puts together another good two-piece that Yarde has no answer to.
Yarde then snaps back with a strong left hand but he's struggling to land loads clean.
Arthur then offers another three-punch combo - two to the body and a short hook to the jaw - that scores well.
He again lands a good combo as Yarde really struggles to evade his punches.
Just as I type that, Yarde muscles his rival onto the ropes and lands two clean shots that would have hurt.
Arthur is comfortable on the ropes and the pair are starting to land on each other a bit more - Arthur lands a lovely left and then Yarde hits back with a right.
This is really warming up now.

Yarde vs Arthur - R7
Yarde again now abandoning that early plan to work at range and shuts the space with a high guard to get up close and personal.
The pair are shoulder to shoulder in the middle of the ring but there's very little clean work.
Referee Steve Gray then brings them in for a long word - he doesn't want them so close if they are not actually going to offer any work.
Yarde then lands a really nice shot but it's arguably his only scoring shot of the round.
Arthur again finishes strong and, for me, he's pulling ahead in this one.

Yarde vs Arthur - R6
Double jab from Arthur to start the round with both making their mark.
The ref then has a word with Arthur, but it's not that clear why.
Arthur will certainly be the happier of the two with the way this fight has gone so far.
Yarde might need to step up the pace or at least unload some combos, Arthur is reading everything he's throwing at the moment.
Yarde then manages to get on top of Arthur and has him in close and on the ropes - but he's not really getting in any clean work.
Definitely a change in tactics by Yarde but it hasn't brought any significant success in that round.
Arthur defending and evading brilliantly well.

Yarde vs Arthur - R5
It's still really cagey but you can't take your eyes off this one, especially knowing Yarde has that devastating power.
Arthur continues to use that jab well and just keeping Yarde well at bay.
Yarde hasn't really landed more than just one big shot despite all the work around the ring and with his body.
It's then Arthur who unleashes another lovely right, although it's just the single shot and he isn't able to really follow it with anything.
I'm not going to second guess the judges but I think Arthur is having the better of this.

Yarde vs Arthur - R4
Yarde starts working behind his own jab but Arthur just steps up his own pace and goes in with a three-piece.
Maybe a sign that he is settling into this fight and ready to start opening up a bit more?
Lyndon Arthur then has a little look at that giant logo on the canvas - perhaps a sign that the canvas is getting a bit slippery again.
Yarde continues to work behind twitchy feints and movements but he's not landing much clean so far.
Yarde then comes in but he leaves himself too far open and Arthur unleashes a perfect one-two counter hook just to end the round.
Lovely little combo that was.
It's tight but I'd say Arthur is edging this.

Backstage drama
It wouldn't be a big boxing night with just a little bit of backstage drama...
First we have the arrival of Chris Eubank Snr and now Billy Joe Saunders decides to try and enter Jr's dressing room to inspect his hand wraps.
He's denied entry and then really gets into it with a massive security guard.
"You're a nobody!" he says to the giant, who says the same back.
That would be an interesting scrap given that one is a former world champ and other has about a foot and five stone on the other.

Rubber match incoming
There's an absolutely massive fight coming up next.
Anthony Yarde and Lyndon Arthur meet for the third time with the pair sitting at one win each against each other.
Both of these pair have fought for a world title in the last 18 months and a win would surely catapult them back into that kind of company.
It really is a big one.

Great stuff from McKenna
That was so good from Aaron McKenna, Liam Smith hasn't ever looked that bad.
But the Liverpudlian just couldn't get close to the Irishman and looked - if we're being totally honest - a bit washed.
We're yet to hear from either fighter but we'll keep an eye out if they have anything to say either to the TV cameras or elsewhere.

McKenna wins!
No surprises there, as Aaron McKenna gets a wide win on all the scorecards
A round of applause from Liam Smith as the Irishman moves on to 20-0.
Career-best performance from the Silencer and one that could really open doors at world level, great stuff.
The scorecards were:
119-108
117-109
118-108

Obituary: Arthur McEwan, former DC Thomson employee, 81
Dundee man Arthur McEwan entered this world as a surprise – to his big sisters anyway. Eldest sibling Gladys can still recall when she and sister May were collected from school on May 2 1943 and told there was a surprise waiting for them at their Kinloch Street home int he Hilltown. Parents Arthur Francis McEwan and Mary McEwan (nee McDonell) introduced the pair to their baby brother, who came with his very own glass bubble – a government-issued protection for babies born during the war. The family soon moved to 11 Ambleside Avenue and Arthur spent almost his whole life living around the Downfield and Kirkton areas where he was brought up. As an adult, Arthur would tell others how much his parents had influenced him, instilling in him a strong work ethic and the importance of sticking in at Lawside Primary and Lawside Academy, where he got his education. School was also where he developed a keen love of sports. In later years, he enjoyed playing snooker and golf with his friends, but as a young man, Dundee FC fan Arthur was all about football. He played for Lawside Academy FP, scoring a winning goal in the Gray Cup Final against what he described as 'the strongest amateur team in our league'. And he was especially proud that his goal appeared in the Sporting Post that evening; a 'quick-witted' storyteller, he had a yarn for every occasion (or made one up) and relished telling a good tale just as much as living it. One story (told so often it became a family favourite) saw a 14-year-old Arthur kick a football so hard in the schoolyard that his shoe came off – and flew through the headmaster's window. Needless to say, the shoeless Arthur was easily identified. Luckily his teacher saw the funny side, as did his friends. Arthur valued his friendships, particularly the 65 years of camaraderie he found with close pals Brian Petrie and John Mansi. The three shared a 'legendary' hitchhiking trip to Ireland after leaving school, and often fondly reminisced about the pickles they got into, and kind strangers who made the trip so special. Indeed, it was on the advice of friend and DC Thomson employee Brian that Arthur applied for a job as an advertising salesman at the Dundee publishing company. He went on to enjoy 40 successful years at DC Thomson, working his way up to advertising manager before he retired in 2008. Loved ones say he was 'immensely proud' of his time at DC Thomson and fond of his colleagues there. And he would often recall two occasions when the order was issued to 'stop the presses immediately' – the day Margaret Thatcher resigned as prime minister, and the day Princess Diana passed away. Even after he retired, Arthur read The Courier and Evening Telegraph every day, which kept his already-encyclopaedic knowledge of Dundee's history and people up to date. But though he kept his emotions mainly under wraps, Arthur's greatest source of joy was his family. He was married to Madge, the love of his life, on March 9 1968 and the couple spent over 56 years together raising their three children: Lesley, Alistair and Michael. The couple would often explore the Lake District, and made many happy memories wandering the beautiful landscape of Ambleside; the fact the town shared a name with Arthur's cherished childhood street was a happy coincidence which only sweetened his fondness of the place. Arthur and Madge went on to have eight grandchildren, who Arthur doted on and encouraged to work hard and 'never stop trying to do your best in anything you attempt'. He was known to make sure everyone in the family felt looked after, even as he battled dementia in his latter years. He found a lot of strength in his Catholic faith, and the community of St Columba's RC Church in Kirkton was a cornerstone of his life for more than 60 years. It was built at the end of Ambleside Avenue in 1962, and after watching its construction from his window, Arthur attended service there almost every Sunday until he died. Arthur was a key member of the parish for many years, including launching the church newsletter, The Dove, along with wife Madge and friend Brian. Arthur passed away peacefully on February 17 2025, after having spent a cherished weekend with Madge, Lesley, Alistair and Michael, with that day's Courier sitting on his bedside table waiting to be read one last time. They will miss his dignified humility, his wit, his love and of course, his stories.

Chris Eubank Jr threatened to cancel Conor Benn fight hours before first bell
There was plenty of drama ahead of Saturday night's contest, but promoter Eddie Hearn revealed Eubank Jr's team threatened to cancel the clash just hours before the first bell Eddie Hearn has revealed Chris Eubank Jr' s team threatened to cancel his fight with Conor Benn just hours before the pair were expected to walk to the ring. On Friday, footage emerged online of Eubank Jr's team telling British Boxing Board of Control general secretary Robert Smith of their frustration at Benn's Everlast gloves during a heated meeting. Their argument that the gloves contained horse hair - which while legal remains divisive as modern gloves are typically padded with foam. 'They've got horse hair in them,' a member of Eubank Jr's team complained to Robert Smith. 'The gloves were approved by the British Boxing Board of Control,' replied the BBBoC chief. 'You should have been here at the beginning. They are done.' Eubank Jr's team replied: 'This is not okay. We specified all the way through that we don't want horse hair.' Smith then said: 'You haven't involved the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) and the Board of Control are the people that approve the gloves. Those gloves are approved, as these gloves are approved and all these other gloves are approved.' Just a few days removed from the blockbuster showdown, Hearn has admitted Team Eubank Jr threatened to jeopardise the fight. When asked about the situation regarding the gloves dispute, Hearn told iFL TV:"We received messages saying they're not going to fight if we wear those gloves. And we said 'look, the gloves are sanctioned by the British Boxing Board of Control.' And then they said 'well, then there's no fight.' But that didn't get back to Conor. That's just stuff we deal with all the time." The boxing promoter added: "We said 'go on then, pull out of the fight.' I believe they spoke to the Saudis or whatever, but they just carried on. You have a rules meeting, a British Boxing Board of Control inspect the gloves. They didn't like it because it had some horse hair in it - which is standard. Virtually every pair of gloves has horse hair in it in some respect and they just didn't want him wearing the gloves. I think it was the same gloves Liam Smith wore when he stopped him (Eubank Jr). But in the end, we just said 'crack on,' and it just kind of evaporated." Despite all the drama, the pair would go head-to-head in the end on Saturday night. After a strong start from Benn, Eubank Jr's experience prevailed in the second half of the contest. Eventually, the latter would go on to get his hand raised after securing a unanimous decision victory. "I knew I was capable of that. I just needed someone to bring it out of me," said Eubank Jr. "I didn't expect Conor to be the guy to do that. I didn't know he had that in him, I thought I would break him early. I underestimated him, I didn't prepare for a fight like that. The fact our fathers fought years ago brought out a different spirit and I am happy to have my father with me. He needed to be here. All this is because of him."

Chris Eubank Jr facing investigation after epic win over Conor Benn in family grudge fight
Eu what? Chris Eubank Jr facing investigation after epic win over Conor Benn in family grudge fight CHRIS EUBANK JR is facing investigation by the British Boxing Board of Control after his brutal victory over Conor Benn. Eubank Jr claimed the win after 12 stunning rounds of boxing with a unanimous 116-112 decision from judges at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Advertisement 1 Chris Eubank Jr if facing investigation after his win over Conor Benn Credit: Reuters Pre-fight build-up was clouded by controversy after Next Gen failed to make the 160lbs weight limit at the official weigh-in. The 35-year-old managed to achieve the weight but not before before having to forfeit £375,000 of his paycheck for his original failure to comply with the agreed restrictions. Eubank Jr shared his radical weight cutting programme ahead of the fight, including a heat suit and sauna. However, BBBofC chief Robert Smith has suggested those weight cutting practices are prohibited. Advertisement And as a result of this apparent breach of regulations, an investigation could be launched. Smith told Boxing Scene: "The problem arose because he was late for the weigh-in. "If he'd have got there on time, considering he was only slightly over, he'd have made weight. "I don't know what they were doing. Advertisement "But by turning up late, it meant he had very little time to get down to the contracted weight." Eubank Jr previously fought as high as super-middleweight but has entered the ring as a middleweight during recent bouts. Smith added: "We had no concerns. Eubank was on track to make 160lbs. "We keep records of previous fights, and the trajectory of Eubank's weight loss was very similar to how it's been in the past. Advertisement "It is an ongoing matter." A rematch clause was inserted into the fight deal, which is Benn said he wants to trigger to get "revenge" when asked after his defeat. Both stars were taken to hospital as a precaution after the event, and are even said to have been placed a few beds down from one another as they were treated. THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY..
