The sports comedy-drama has opened to a largely positive response, with audiences calling it a 'perfect family entertainer.'

From Aamir's heartfelt performance as a basketball coach to the impressive debut of ten neurodivergent actors, fans are praising the film as an emotional rollercoaster filled with warmth, humour and inspiration. Here's what moviegoers are saying about the film

A video of moviegoers commenting about their experience after watching the film saw them calling Sitaare Zameen Par a great film and some even predicted that the film will get great success. Helmed by RS Prasanna, the film is a remake of the Spanish film Campeones. Apart from Aamir, the film also stars Genelia D'Souza and 10 debutants, including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
The film tells the story of a basketball coach who is asked to train a team of neurodivergent people as a part of his punishment following a drunk driving accident. The actor has confirmed that the film will only release in theatres and not on any OTT platform.

One has to take what has been set and then make the fans of the film and the fans of these gigantic superstars of our country go on a journey that is new, that hopefully leaves them hungry for more. As a director, I have to be honest, I immersed myself into delivering this feeling.' He adds, 'Everything about War 2 has been crafted with a lot of planning to elevate the theatrical experience of the audience. The maximum time spent was on the action set pieces and crafting the storyline and the conflict which was needed to mount the face off between Hrithik Roshan and NTR.' The director says, 'War 2 is truly the coming together of Indian cinema with these two huge actors joining forces. We were aware of the expectations this pairing would set in the minds of their fans and the audience and every second was spent thinking of how to give them an experience of a lifetime when they sit in the theatres.' War 2, which also stars Kiara Advani, is set to release in theaters on August 14.
