Follow all the action as the Eagles and North Melbourne do battle in WA's South West, with bouncedown at Hands Oval set for 1.20pm.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of a historic occasion for the South West of WA!
It's West Coast and North Melbourne squaring off in Bunbury, with Hands Oval hosting an AFL game in the season proper for the first time.
It's the first-ever WA game to be held for premiership points outside of the Perth metro area, and it promises to be a close contest on paper between two clubs who have not been used to winning over the past four years.

Scud produces cracker run

Crackerjack Scud pulled out a personal best run to make it back-to-back wins at Free For All level with victory in the 400m FFA at Mandurah last Friday night. Two weeks after his previous success in a five dog 488m race, Crackerjack Scud faced a much harder task against a full field of quality short-course chasers. Crackerjack Scud looked up against it from the lemon, 'box five', and went to starting line at big odds but inserted himself into the contest when he landed behind the quick launching Fancy That Fred at the jump. Fancy That Fred held the front down the back straight but swung wide at the turn, which allowed Crackerjack Scud to burrow through to the lead along the rail. Your local paper, whenever you want it. It was the only opportunity Crackerjack Scud needed and he kicked away to secure the victory in a personal best time of 22.31 and finish three lengths ahead of Fancy That Fred, with Surf The Sun a further half-length behind in third. Crackerjack Scud improved his record to 10 wins from 28 starts for trainer Lexia Issac.

V'landys backs Tabcorp's Gil McLachlan in pub wagering standoff

Powerful NSW thoroughbred administrator Peter V'landys has thrown his support behind Tabcorp's proposal to change what it pays hotels for hosting wagering terminals even as smaller venues threaten to pull out and leave their towns without limited access to races. Peter V'landys is the chief executive of Racing NSW and the chairman of the Australian Rugby League Commission. While he supports Tabcorp's plans, the Australian Hotels Association, which represents thousands of pubs, is against the move.

Sydney young gun Angus Sheldrick attracting ‘strong interest' from rival clubs including West Coast

West Coast are keeping tabs on two out-of-contract midfielders as they look to bring in more players to accelerate their rebuild. The Eagles remain rooted to the bottom of the ladder with just one win this season after conceding the last four goals to North Melbourne on Sunday to slump to their 12th loss. Still two wins and percentage behind 17th-placed Richmond, a second wooden spoon in the space of three years seems very likely. But West Coast are once again looming as active players in the trade period after last year they brought in Richmond premiership players Liam Baker and Jack Graham, as well as Carlton goalsneak Matt Owies. 7NEWS Perth reporter Ryan Daniels revealed the Eagles are among a host of clubs interested in Sydney's emerging star Angus Sheldrick and young Docker Neil Erasmus. Sheldrick, who was drafted with pick No.18 in the 2021 draft, is originally from Western Australia and played his junior footy for Claremont. After playing just nine senior games in his first three years at the Swans, the 21-year-old is enjoying a strong recent run of form. Sheldrick was subbed off in the opening game of the season before being dropped and playing his next five senior games as the starting substitute. However, he has started the past three and been a strong contributor, averaging 23 touches and six tackles. Erasmus is another young player generating interest from rival clubs. The 21-year-old was also taken in the 2021 draft, going at pick No.10 to Fremantle. Like Sheldrick, Erasmus has also been in and out of the Dockers side, but has played the past four games this year. West Coast are among a number of clubs with 'strong interest' in the midfielder, according to Daniels. Meanwhile, Daniels added that Melbourne have put forward a contract extension to Kysaiah Pickett in a bid to complete the emerging superstar. Pickett has produced a string of stunning performances this year to see his value skyrocket. The 24-year-old's future remains in the spotlight despite being contracted at the Demons until the end of 2027. He has constantly been linked to a move back to Western Australia with Fremantle reportedly in the box seat.
