Houthis launch four attacks on Israel: Ben Gurion Airport among targets
Shafaq News/ Yemen's Ansarallah (Houthis) launched four attacks on Israel, including a ballistic missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport, the group announced on Sunday.
In a post on X, Yahya Saree, the group's military spokesperson, confirmed that the strike on the facility 'successfully' achieved its intended objective and disrupted air traffic at the site.
The Houthis also launched three separate operations targeting key Israeli sites in Yaffa, Ashdod, and Umm al-Rashrash using drones.
The group described the attacks as retaliation for Israel's ongoing assault on Gaza, where more than 54,418 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed since October 2023.

In turn, the Israeli military alleged that air defense systems intercepted a ballistic missile over central Israel. Sirens were triggered across parts of the West Bank and near Jerusalem, while mobile alerts were issued to residents through early warning systems.

No casualties or damage were reported.
Since Israel resumed ground operations in Gaza on March 18, the Houthis have launched more than 43 ballistic missiles and at least 13 drones toward Israeli territory, according to Israeli media citing military sources.

US Veto stalls UN Gaza ceasefire bid
Shafaq News/ On Wednesday, the United States vetoed a draft resolution in the UN Security Council calling for an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, along with unimpeded humanitarian access to the territory. It marks the first use of veto power during US President Donald Trump's second term in office, and the Council's first vote on the Gaza file since November when the United States blocked a previous call for a ceasefire. The draft also highlighted what it described as the 'catastrophic humanitarian situation' in Gaza. Backed by 14 other Security Council members, the resolution also pressed for the 'immediate and unconditional lifting of all restrictions on the entry and distribution of humanitarian aid to Gaza,' demanding safe, wide-scale, and unobstructed delivery, including through UN channels. U.S. Deputy Ambassador Dorothy Shea justified her country's vote against the draft resolution, describing it as 'biased' and noting that it 'fails to condemn Hamas or demand that it disarm and leave Gaza.' She also invoked 'Israel's right to defend itself' and claimed the resolution undermines ongoing negotiation efforts. Ukraine attacks, Iran talks top Trump-Putin call
Shafaq News/ On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump revealed details of a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which covered escalating military tensions in Ukraine and ongoing concerns over Iran's nuclear program. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump described the call as 'good, but not the kind that will lead to immediate peace,' adding that Putin strongly emphasized his intent to respond to Ukraine's recent drone attacks targeting Russian military aircraft. Regarding the Iran's nuclear issue, Trump warned that 'time is running out on Iran's decision pertaining to nuclear weapons.' He also stated that Putin expressed readiness to participate in nuclear negotiations with Iran and possibly help accelerate a resolution. 'A final answer from Iran will be required very soon,' Trump wrote, signaling growing diplomatic pressure around the nuclear issue.
