In the latest episode of The Kardashians titled "She Said Yes!", Kim Kardashian shared an emotional revelation about her daughter, North West, and the impact of her divorce from Kanye West. Kim explained that North had been "mad" at her for quite some time after the couple split.
Reflecting on their evolving relationship, Kim said, "North is, like, obsessed with me now and calls me with her friends, like, 'Mom, I love you. You're the best mom. I love you so much.'"
During a casual ping-pong conversation with her sister Kourtney, Kim revealed that this positive shift in their bond came after a period of tension. "I think it was all the divorce. Like, it's insane the turnaround,' Kim admitted, acknowledging how difficult it was for North during that time.
Kim and Kanye, who have four children together—North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5—ended their marriage in February 2021 after six years. Throughout the separation, Kim had been candid about the toll Kanye's public outbursts and social media drama took on their marriage.
In a heartfelt confession, Kim shared, 'I don't want to be a part of this narrative. It's like, when is this ever gonna end? It never will. And I'm stuck with this for the rest of my life.'
Reflecting on how much Kanye's personality changed during their marriage, Kim said, "That's the hardest part … When you don't foresee something happening that really changes a person's personality and then they're not the same person and you can't ever get that person back, but you can't live with the new person."
Kim also opened up about the emotional toll the divorce took on her, adding, 'It's tougher when you don't want your marriage to end off of personal reasons but circumstances change that force your marriage to end. When you weren't planning on that and that's not really the outcome you want but there's no other option, I think it makes it harder to get over.'
