GA mom arrested after 4-year-old overdoses on THC gummies
A south Georgia mother is facing child cruelty charges after her 4-year-old got hold of THC.
Vidalia police officers say they were called to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital last week to reports of a child who had overdosed.

Investigators learned a 4-year-old had taken THC gummies.
The child's mother, 41-year-old Tiffany Martin, was arrested and charged with cruelty to children and possession of a controlled substance.

Georgia man drowns after caught in Gulf rip current
Authorities in Florida said a 47-year-old Georgia man died Sunday after drowning in the Gulf of Mexico. The Gulf County Sheriff's Office said on social media that Timothy Franklin was swimming with a family member when he got caught in a rip current. They found emergency personnel from Gulf County EMS and South Gulf Fire Rescue engaged in life-saving efforts that ultimately proved unsuccessful. The Gulf County Sheriff's Office said 'it is grateful for the numerous members of the community that have wrapped themselves around the Franklin family to provide support during this incredibly difficult time. This is a heartbreaking incident, and the family remains in our thoughts and prayers.' A GoFundMe has been started on the family's behalf, according to media reports. Invasive stinging insect that could cause death spotted in Ohio
An invasive stinging insect that could cause death has been spotted in Ohio, according to the site [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] The Asian needle ant is a stinging insect native to China, Japan, and the Koreas. Experts with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service said the insect has been in the country since 1932 but has continued to spread and can be found in more than a dozen states. The site reports that there have been four total records of the ant across Ohio. The specific locations weren't immediately available. The ants are small, about .2 inches in length, and have a shiny dark brown to black color. The end of their antennas and legs are a lighter orange-brown color. Experts said the ants aren't 'terribly aggressive' but their stings are painful and can affect people in different ways. Some may have a life-threatening allergic reaction the sting, called anaphylaxis. Symptoms of anaphylaxis include, but are not limited to: Skin reactions like hives, itching and flushed skin Airway constriction, trouble breathing and wheezing Low blood pressure Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea Dizziness or fainting Weak and rapid pulse Those who believe they are having an allergic reaction from an Asian needle ant sting should seek immediate medical attention, the U.S. Forest Service said. Driver pulls out knife on couple driving too slow in Kennesaw neighborhood, police say
Ten miles below the speed limit: that is what one driver told Kennesaw police drove him to pull a knife during a road rage incident in the Legacy Park community. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] 'He said the reason why he was agitated was because the driver was going 25 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone,' explained Ofc. David Buchanan about why 55-year-old Giancarlo Russo is accused of pulling a knife on his neighbors during a road rage incident. It happened in Kennesaw in the Legacy Park neighborhood. A husband and wife got to a stop sign to find the driver, Russo, behind them was outraged, when he blocked their car with his own. 'The offender pulled in front of them and blocked them, got out of his car, he was holding a knife and was threatening towards them,' Buchanan told Channel 2's Candace McCowan. 'He was trying to get the male driver out of the vehicle to instigate some type of altercation or fight. The victim stayed in the car, got away safely, and called us.'
