Africans Try Each Other's Fufu And Stew
Odi (Nigeria), Shahd (Sudan), Emil (Cameroon), and Diana (Nigeria) were brave (and curious) enough to see which of their Fufu and stews are the best.
Everyone involved will rate each dish on a scale of 1-10. The person with the highest combined score wins ~all~ the bragging rights.
First up is Shahd from Sudan. She's energetic and ready for folks to eat her food.
She's made Egusi and Fufu with an East African twist. There's onion, stock, blended pepper, and her choice of meat. Shahd mashed that fufu from scratch and leaned into Sudanese recipes to create her masterpiece.

There's some good seasoning in there as well as some smoked meat. The plantain isn't as...smooth as it needs to be, though.

Diana has been making egusi and fufu since she was a kid. Quite honestly, it shows. Look at that Fufu—smoother than skin. Babygirl kept it simple with peppers, onions, and palm oil. Looks tasty.
Diana had the right amount of everything, although Odi thought it could be more palm oil. To each their own! Diana walks away with a score of 24.
Last, but surely not least we have Odi from Nigeria. He's also made traditional Nigerian egusi stew and fufu for everyone to try and rate.
Odi's choice of ingredients are grounded pumpkin seeds, onion, red pepper, and most importantly: PALM OIL.

Recently, I asked the BuzzFeed Community to share which '90s stars once seemed destined for greatness but have since faded from the spotlight — whether by choice or not. Here are 16 of their top responses: "Skeet Ulrich." —angrygoose681 Skeet was a '90s horror icon with his roles in Scream and The Craft. He continued to work steadily, but after his twins were born in 2001, he made them his priority. In 2005, he got a divorce and won custody of the kids, so he decided to be a stay-at-home single dad because he could afford it. In 2019, he told Fatherly, "Being a parent has driven me to make the decisions I've made. I did work, but I would only work in Los Angeles until Riverdale. The kids would be there with me. I hired a nanny once when I was doing the first season of Jericho. They were starting kindergarten, and I hired a nanny once more when I did Law & Order. That's it. Then she retired from acting in the 2010s to focus on her family and art career. —gaelicmaiden In 2018, Leelee told AnOther, "A lot of the time when you work, it's a money project basically. I started paying the rent on our house when I was 15, so I had a lot of pressure and things got complicated for me… So when I could, I stopped. It's kind of a gross industry – well, they all are, when you examine them – but in acting, you're selling your appearance so much. I would cry every time I had to kiss somebody; I couldn't stomach it. I would think, 'I like this person, so I don't think they should pay me to kiss them,' or 'I don't like this person, so I don't want to kiss them. Why is my kiss for sale?' And finally: "Jewel — she was so major, like Taylor Swift! And now nothing…" Jewel took a two-year hiatus following the success of her second album, and she later took a seven-year break before releasing her most recent album in 2022. She told Spin, "I couldn't psychologically adjust to the amount of fame that I got to. By the time I was on the cover of TIME, it didn't work for me. It was really psychologically crushing, and so giving myself two years to contemplate, 'How do I do this? Can I do this? Does this make me happy?' and developing a career and a strategy that upheld my number one goal, which was to make sure my mental health was the priority. Then my number two goal was I want to make the records I want, how I want, in the genre I want, that's going to be how it is. It's going to be an adventure." Halle Berry is on what looks to be an incredible vacation somewhere sunny that I'm jealous of, where she's celebrating her 59th birthday with her family! The Oscar winner has shared a ton of photos from the trip, including a series of herself enjoying a private pool in underwear and a lingerie top. Who needs a swimsuit, you know? Halle also shared some bikini pics on the beach, which she captioned "We have to get older, but we don't have to get old 🤌🏽" Last year, Halle opened up about double standards in society's views of aging, telling Fortune (via Buzzfeed) "Historically, women, as we age, we just get old, right? Men get sexy. They get gray hair and they're silver foxes. We're just haggard. Society tells us or has told us that our time is should go out to pasture. We're done with our baby-making years — that being our primary purpose for being here is to bear children — and when we're done with that at 35/40, there's nothing left for us." My little cousin Andie is 10 now, and she loves movies — animated films, Disney classics, even box-office successes. And although she's been describing movies on BuzzFeed since she was 5 (yep, I've raised her well), I'll admit, she's still working on her ability to explain all the masterpieces she watches.
