Hyett relishing chance to show what England can do
It is the second edition of the U20 tournament, which debuted in Italy last year, when England won two of their three matches.
Twenty-year-old centre Hyett, who tasted Premiership Women's Rugby glory with Gloucester Hartpury earlier this year, is keen for England to focus on their own game and let everything else take care of itself.
'I'm excited for [the Scotland game] and I think it'll be a really good battle,' said Worcester native Hyett.
'We know they're going to be physical and turn up on the day, but it's just about playing our game and doing what we're good at.
'It's a really good chance for this U20 group to showcase what they can do. We've been working really hard this past six or seven months and it's exciting to show what we're about on the pitch.'
Following on from the 2024 Women's Summer Series, 14 players across the six countries went on to achieve senior honours during the 2025 Guinness Women's Six Nations, including England's Lilli Ives Campion.
And Hyett, who took up rugby aged four after growing up with three brothers who all played the sport, highlighted the importance of the Women's Summer Series for giving players the opportunity to stand out and to use it as a springboard to break into the senior team.
'In the top bracket of the older year of U20s, it's a good step and good time to prepare yourself for senior rugby, whether that's for PWR or the Red Roses. It's everyone's dream to play for the Red Roses,' she added.
'Senior coaches are watching this, and we've already seen players like Millie David, Sarah Parry and Lilli too kick on, so it's great that progression is there.'
With women's rugby on an upward trajectory, the 2025 Six Nations Women's Summer Series is a big chance for stars of the future to gain vital international experience, graduate along the development pathway, while also inspiring a new generation of rugby fans.
Spread across three dates during July, England will also face Italy on 11 July before rounding off their campaign against France six days later.

Niamh Gallagher hailed the way Ireland were able to withstand early Welsh pressure during her side's battling 27-10 win over the hosts in their 2025 Six Nations Women's Summer Series opener. And Gallagher, who played in Clarke for Ireland's third try during the second half, was delighted that their defensive efforts allowed them to kick-on towards victory. 'Getting a win to start the tournament is unbelievable, start as we mean to go on,' she said. 'There's so much more to see from us. It was a tough one, we were in our half for most of that game. 'We just thought we needed to get it out of our area and play up field. And then when we did get it up there, we showed them what we could do.' Amidst the driving rain, the encounter proved to be a physical test for both sides, with neither team letting up in the tackle. It was a gameplan Gallagher expected from her team's opponents and explained the importance of both forcing Wales into making errors, whilst keeping their own standards high. 'We knew that Wales were going to be a physical team,' she continued. 'We wanted to match that and make sure that we kept the ball and play on our terms. 'It was tough that Wales did stick to being dominant, but we knew we had to get up in their faces and try and make them make mistakes. 'We knew we had to be clinical in our own areas too and I think we were able to do that.' Next up for Ireland is a clash against France, who also won their opening match beating Italy 46-5, and Gallagher believes her side have got the tools to more than put up a fight. She added: 'We've got an excellent back three that we just want to get the ball out to. 'We're also getting there when it comes to securing our breakdowns which is good but of course, we can always look to improve our defence.'

Moioli takes lots of positives from France U20 Summer Series loss
Italy defended stoically for much of the game but ultimately couldn't stop France running in eight tries - with Elina Folituu helping herself to a hat-trick in the process – to claim the spoils at the Centre for Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly. In the few trips to the French 22 that Italy had, they were able to register a try of their own through prop Alice Antonazzo in the second half and Moioli hopes her side can build on the performance they put in after the break. 'Our captain [Elena Errichiello] said that to us. She said that we knew it was going to be a hard game. We were quite happy with what we did, but we know now what to work on and how to prepare for the next game against England.' France imposed themselves from the off and despite the best efforts of Italy's defence, they benefitted time and again from their physicality, as well as their skill, with Folituu's treble – all scored off the back of rolling mauls – highlighting that fact. Moioli explained her side expected France to take the game to them and was proud of their rearguard effort throughout the 80 minutes. 'We were mentally prepared, we knew there would be a lot of defence going on,' she continued. 'There was good defence from our centres and our forwards were really going hard. I'm really proud of what we did. 'It was a big mindset game in the second half, and we were really tired because France is a big opponent. 'We tried to keep our defence up the best that we could, whilst also staying fierce and trying to push through.' And despite the one-sided nature of the result, Moioli was pleased with the togetherness her team demonstrated and the fact they kept fighting until the end. Shed added: 'We were very united, even after the French scored, we were always all together and trying to keep each other focussed and we pushed through together as a team.'
