No matter what, dogs seem to rule the world.
Whether it's Kirk Herbstreit's dog in the broadcast booth or the loveable four-legged animals running around at the local shelter, dogs tend to always lighten the mood and bring out the best in people.
That also rings true on Super Bowl Sunday, when they're are out and about to compete for the most coveted trophy in sports – the Lombarky.
Here's everything you need to know for the Puppy Bowl, so you don't miss any of the action before the big game.
The Puppy Bowl is the dog version of the Super Bowl, where the furry friends all compete for the championship. Unlike the real game, you won't see regular formations or plays. The game is essentially organized chaos is therefore much less formal than the game played by the human counterparts.
Essentially, the event is a way to raise money and awareness for shelters across America, while shedding light on adoptable dogs and other pets.
The 2025 Puppy Bowl is slated for Sunday, Feb. 9.
This year's event is slated to have 142 dogs from 80 shelters and rescues across 40 states and two countries.
Kickoff in the Puppy Bowl is set for 2 p.m. ET.
The Puppy Bowl is a three-hour event and includes a one-hour pregame show.
