WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A new take-home dinner option is coming to West Springfield.
This is the quirkiest city in Massachusetts
Mayor Will Reichelt announced on Facebook that Delaney's Market, located at 334 Park Street, will be opening its newest location soon. It specializes in ready-made meals, with everything from appetizers to desserts. You can even find meals to meet vegan and gluten-free needs.
Delaney's Market has locations in Longmeadow, South Hadley, Westfield, and Wilbraham that are open Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield's gas prices have fallen 3.9 cents per gallon over the past week. Springfield celebration shines light on local heroes, helping to make communities thrive Gas prices in Springfield have dropped to an average of $2.90/g, according to GasBuddy price reports after a survey of 257 stations in Springfield. The cheapest station in Springfield was priced at $2.69/g, and the most expensive station was $3.19/g. The highest price in the state was $3.69/g, a difference of $1.12/g. The national price of gasoline is averaging $3.07/g on Monday. The national average is down 5.2 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands at 32.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering more than 150,000 gas stations across the country. DTA ‘Pathways to Work' program celebrates its participants

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Healey-Driscoll Administration is celebrating residents who have transitioned from public assistance to meaningful employment. The Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) provides services and benefits to over 1.2 million people in the state. When families ask for SNAP or cash assistance, they are offered other opportunities, such as different programs. How many families are in Massachusetts emergency housing assistance One of the programs is called 'Pathways to Work'. In this program, participants receive job and college readiness training. At the end, some may get a GED, a Hi-Set, or a new job. It all comes at their own pace. 'There were times where I, I wasn't able to attain a job due to unforseen circumstances, and because of DTA and the programs that they do require for us, I was able to succeed, save money and become the person I did want to become,' Pathways To Work participant Crystal Ortiz said. The celebration recognized the participants who finished the program. One client ended up getting a job as a career coach through DTA. There was also a panel discussion, testimonies, and remarks from DTA leaders.
