In a significant move for India's industrial and energy infrastructure sector, Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses Pvt Ltd has acquired a controlling stake in KRYFS Power Components Ltd, a leading producer of transformer solutions.
The deal brings together Zetwerk's digital manufacturing platform and KRYFS's decades of engineering expertise to address the growing demand for advanced power and electrification solutions in India and abroad.
With this acquisition, Zetwerk expands its presence in the electrical and renewable energy manufacturing space. KRYFS operates 10 plants across the country and is the only Indian firm to produce 765 kV class transformer laminations and transformer tanks. The company's facilities are NABL-accredited and approved by POWERGRID for projects up to 765 kV.
"Zetwerk's mission has always been to build the most reliable and digitally enabled manufacturing platform for the world," said Amrit Acharya, CEO and Co-founder of Zetwerk. "With KRYFS, we are deepening that promise in the energy transition space. KRYFS has been an enduring symbol of trust in power component manufacturing. Their domain leadership and commitment to quality make them a natural fit for us. This partnership is about shaping the next generation of infrastructure manufacturing solutions in India, for India and for the world."
Acharya added, "This is about building an industrial backbone for India's next decade—electrified, digitized, and self-reliant."
For KRYFS customers, including transformer manufacturers, turnkey project players, and transmission utilities, the integration promises improved supply continuity, digitally enhanced quality, and expanded offerings such as CNC machined parts, solar modules, and substation fabrication.
"Our customers are at the heart of this journey," said Saif Qureishi, CEO and Managing Director of KRYFS. "With Zetwerk, we are not only safeguarding our legacy of quality and trust but also elevating it. This partnership brings together the strengths of a 33-year-old industry leader and a dynamic seven-year-old new-age company. It is a powerful fusion where legacy expertise meets modern innovation to unlock greater value."
KRYFS's leadership team will continue to run operations, ensuring continuity for its workforce of more than 1,600 employees. Zetwerk's global network will also open access to advanced manufacturing tools, predictive maintenance systems, and international project exposure.
Srinath Ramakkrushnan, COO and Co-founder of Zetwerk, noted, "KRYFS brings a legacy of engineering depth and trust that perfectly complements Zetwerk's speed, scale, and digital execution. Together, we are building a future-ready, vertically integrated platform to power India's growth and export excellence worldwide."
Toyota Tsusho Corporation, a long-standing strategic partner of KRYFS, will continue its association with the company.
With India projected to invest USD 330 billion in power and energy infrastructure by 2030, the partnership aims to capture a significant share of a domestic transformer market expected to double to USD 4.2 billion within the decade.

Along With $100 Billion U.S. Manufacturing Commitment, Apple's Tim Cook Gifted Trump A Glass 'Made In USA' Plaque On 24-Karat Gold

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Tim Cook earned the title of "tech's Trump whisperer" in the president's first term, and he just may have shown why. Cook gifted President Donald Trump a glass plaque with a 24-karat gold base on Aug. 6. The move came as he announced at the White House that Apple would invest $100 billion in the U.S. over the next four years, adding to the $500 billion the company had announced in February. The plaque was engraved with Trump's name, a reference to Apple's U.S. manufacturing efforts, Cook's signature and the phrase "MADE IN USA." Don't Miss: The same firms that backed Uber, Venmo and eBay are investing in this pre-IPO company disrupting a $1.8T market — Bill Gates Warned About Water Scarcity. "It's a unique unit of one," Cook said. He pointed out that the glass came from U.S. glass maker Corning (NYSE:GLW) and that the base came from Utah. What's more? Cook said it was all designed by a former U.S. Marine who now works for Apple. "Thank you very much, it's fantastic," Trump said. Cook's gift may offer a masterclass on how to curry favor with the president, combining two things of apparent symbolic importance to Trump: gold and the military. From golden tweezers to gold merchandise and, most recently, the gold card visa, Trump's love for gold is well documented. In the same vein, he is also known for his love of displays of military might, though his treatment of veterans has come under question. Still, the White House continues to deny any wrongdoing on the part of the president. "Elected leaders and business titans from around the world are traveling to the Oval Office to make historic investments into America because of President Trump's bold vision," White House spokesperson Davis Ingle told Axios. "Often these leaders are eager to share gifts highlighting the exciting work they are doing." Nonetheless, for Cook and Apple, the recent presentation has had the desired effect. During the meeting, Trump announced plans for a 100% tariff on semiconductor chips, adding that Apple would be exempt from the charge."The good news for companies like Apple is if you're building in the United States or have committed to build in the United States, there will be no charge," Trump said. Despite this major U.S. commitment and a personal exemption from new chip tariffs, Apple still faces significant challenges navigating the global trade landscape created by Trump. Cook said in May that tariffs on goods from India and Vietnam could add $900 million to its costs in its fiscal Q2. Mega $33M office-shipping center near N.J. Turnpike to open next year

The Joyce Kilmer Logistics Center, a new $33 million industrial project in Middlesex County, is expected to be completed in 2026. Faropoint and Deugen Development closed on the construction loan for the 195,421-square-foot complex this summer, according to a news statement issued by Cushman & Wakefield, which arranged the loan. The center, located at 701 Joyce Kilmer Ave. in New Brunswick, will feature 36-foot clear ceiling heights, 32 loading docks and electric vehicle parking spaces, and modern office space, according to the statement. It is designed to accommodate mid-sized users, with the flexibility to divide into smaller units ranging from 40,000 to 50,000 square feet. The project is strategically positioned near major transportation routes including the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) and Route 1, providing easy access to key consumer markets in New York City and Philadelphia. 'The Exit 9 industrial corridor has become a gateway for commerce in the northeast and has benefitted from a rapid surge in demand for modern industrial facilities, driven by e-commerce growth and supply chain optimization,' said Brad Domenico of Cushman & Wakefield. The development also addresses a specific market need, according to Orry Michael, vice president of Northeast Acquisitions at Faropoint, who said there is a 'limited supply of new Class A product with suites under 100,000 square feet in this Exit 9 micro-location.' Aecom (ACM) Is A Top Stock For US Manufacturing Reshoring, Says Jim Cramer

We recently published . AECOM (NYSE:ACM) is one of the stocks Jim Cramer recently discussed. AECOM (NYSE:ACM) is an American infrastructure consulting firm based in Texas. Its shares have gained 12% year-to-date and jumped by 6.3% in August after the firm's fiscal third quarter earnings. The results saw the firm's $1.34 in EPS and $4.178 billion in revenue beat analyst estimates of $1.26 for the EPS and miss the estimates of $4.30 billion. After the results, analysts from Keybanc and UBS raised Aecom (NYSE:ACM)'s share price targets to further stimulate the stock. Cramer also believes that the firm is a key play to benefit from data center construction and US manufacturing re-shoring: '. . .people are looking for ways to be able to play the reshoring. The best ways are Aecom . . .But Aecom and Jacobs go. . .' During its earnings call, AECOM (NYSE:ACM)'s management commented on its business tailwinds: 'Infrastructure enjoys strong bipartisan support across all of our markets and is an essential element of thriving economies.
