A MAJOR UK attraction has revealed plans to start reopening later this year after a £1.3billion upgrade.

Known for being the home of global events including BBC Good Food Show and Comic Con as well as live music and fashion shows, the major upgrade started back in 2019.
Spread across 14 acres it will be a new "arts, entertainment and exhibition district".
Two new hotels will open on-site, including the 204-room Hyatt Regency and 146-room citizenM design hotel.
A new Music Hall with a 4,000-capacity arena will be run by AEG Presents, the second biggest live music promoter in the world behind Live Nation.
Olympia Theatre, run by Trafalgar Entertainment, is the biggest new purpose-built theatre in 50 years, with space for 1,575 people.
Another 30 restaurants and bars will open including street halls and rooftop venues, alongside a boutique gym.
And a new office space, performing arts school and pedestrianised streets are also part of the plans.
The project is being backed by Deutsche Finance International and Yoo Capital, who are funding the full £1.3billion.
The website states: "We're now looking forward to our next chapter, as we bring new life to one of the UK's most iconic heritage sites and become part of something much bigger."
Yoo Capital added: "The £1.3 billion regeneration of Olympia will create London's newest creative district: a destination for culture, education, entertainment, exhibitions, incredible offices, eateries and over two acres of public realm."

Parts of the renovation are opening this year, although others such as the new ICC conference space will open next year.
Olympia London first opened in 1886, following the success of Crystal Palace's Great Exhibition in 1851.
Upcoming events include London Tech Week, London Film and Comic Con and Hyper Japan Festival.
The venue also has its own train station with Kensington (Olympia) having both overground and underground services.

Already open is a huge new glass canopy which launched at the end of last year and was inspired by the original exhibition halls.
Designed by Heatherwick Studio, founder Thomas Heatherwick, said: 'Olympia was once a people's palace – a place to come together and experience unusual things.
"Having lost its way over the years, we're now working to bring back its original spirit and make Olympia open and available to everyone."
In the mean time, a new "first of its kind" Titanic attraction is set to open in London.
The UK's only Guinness attraction is opening in London later this year as well.
And we've rounded up 15 attractions across the UK where you can find £1 entry tickets.

Fish and chip shop powered by electric cars in UK seaside town

Fish and chip shop powered by electric cars in UK seaside town A survey of 2,000 UK adults has revealed the nation's top holiday treats - and it's no surprise that the classic combination of fish and chips came out on top Electric vehicles manage to power fish shop in Kent In celebration of National Fish and Chip Day on 6th June, the quaint seaside town of Deal in Kent served up 300 free portions of chips to delighted locals and visitors, with a side of battered fish while stocks lasted. The event wasn't your typical British fish and chip experience, though – the shop was fuelled by two electric vehicles and spearheaded by none other than TikTok star, the 'Chip Shop Diva' herself, Destiny Harold. The outlet's unique frying solution was powered by the Dacia Spring, celebrated by its makers as the 'cheapest electric vehicle' available. This venture was a collaboration with The Blue Mermaid Fish Bar. This inventive twist on the traditional chippy came about after a survey involving 2,000 adults identified fish and chips as the most craved indulgence during a British holiday. Classic British foods like fish finger sandwiches, strawberries and cream, and pie and mash also made the list of the top 20 holiday treats. Article continues below Speaking about the occasion, a representative from Dacia said: "It was fun treating passers-by today and showing the power of our electric car, Spring, using its vehicle to load technology, which allows you to power external devices off the car's battery." They added: "It's no surprise we have a national day dedicated to the iconic meal that is fish and chips and the study shows just how much we love it and associate it with holidays by the seaside." The pop-up was fronted by TikTok's 'Chip Shop Diva', Destiny Harold (Image: PinPep ) The study showed that 41 per cent of adults associate such foods with nostalgia, and 45% report feeling satisfied after indulging in them. Furthermore, 44 per cent regard fish and chips as the 'food of the people', asserting that social class does not doesn't impact how people eat it. Food psychologist James Cornish said: There are few things that unite the British public quite like fish and chips." He added: "There's a certain kind of magic in fish and chips - a simple meal that somehow carries the weight of memory, comfort, and delight. Kris Jenner shares truth behind her facelift after Kylie's boob job admission

Kris Jenner has thanked a surgeon for giving her her first facelift over a decade ago, after daughter Kylie Jenner opened up about the boob job she had in 2018 After years of trying to claim the results of surgical procedures came from clever lighting, lip liners and laxative teas, the Kar-Jenners are finally being honest about going under the knife. Fresh from daughter Kylie Jenner revealing all about her boob job, Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, 69, has fessed up to having a facelift. Kylie, 27, recently candidly replied to a fan's question about her breast implants on TikTok - confirming the exact details of her surgery and the doctor who carried out the procedure. ‌ A TikTok user named Rachel expressed her admiration for Kylie's 'most perfect, natural looking boob job ever', seeking specific details as inspiration for her own surgery. Trailing off with an eager plea, she asked Kylie: "Girl, please. Can you just tell us? Can you just tell me what it is that you asked for when you had your boobs done." ‌ In a surprising move, Kylie didn't shrink from sharing the precise details of her surgery, replying to the video with openness and specifics. She informed her curious follower: "445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle! ! ! ! ! silicone! ! ! garth fisher! ! ! hope this helps lol.." Thrilled with Kylie's online endorsement, Dr Fisher took to Instagram on Thursday to thank the mum-of-two for the shout out. "I'm honoured to be acknowledged by Kylie—her kind words were unexpected but truly appreciated," the doctor wrote to his followers. He continued: "Patient confidentiality has always been the foundation of my practice. Over 3 decades, we've never had a single breach. My entire team is thoroughly trained and bound by strict NDAs and confidentiality agreements. This is more than policy—it's our culture." He went on to reference HIPAA (patient privacy) laws and why he will never discuss a client's procedures without their permission, adding: "Every patient is unique. This isn't 'cookbook' surgery—it's thoughtful, personalised care." In the comment section, Kris was quick to gush over the doctor and thank him for his past work on her body amid buzz surrounding her new rumoured facelift. "Garth you are such a superstar class act," the momanger told the surgeon. ‌ "You did my first facelift in 2011… 14 years ago!!! and made it the most amazing experience ever and even gave us access to film so that others could get a peek inside what it's like and not be afraid… you have taken great care of us always and remain such a close and treasured friend!! Such an incredible talent!!" Kris and Kylie's new candidness about their surgeries is a far cry from the days the Kar-Jenner clan would lie about how they achieved their looks - with Kylie famously claiming her plump pout was due to cleverly applied liner rather than the filler injected into her lips. After fessing up to loving lip filler, Kylie has since denied ever having any facial plastic surgery, insisting that she has not resorted to fillers or Botox for her face. "I'm not against plastic surgery but as of now, I only have fillers. Like I've said before, it has always been a huge insecurity of mine and I wanted to make a change," she firmly stated in a previous post on her platform.

I'm a pregnant mum-of-3 with only £40 to last the month – I haven't got electric, food or petrol so I'm begging for help

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A YOUNG mother has claimed that she has just £40 to last her the rest of the month. Millie, a 21-year-old mum-of-three who is 'attempting to budget better and save more', is currently pregnant with her fourth child, due in September 2025, but has almost run out of petrol, electricity and food. 2 A pregnant mother has revealed that after paying for her rent and nursery, she is left with just £40 for the month Credit: Tiktok/@millie.2103 2 Millie, 21, got candid on her financial situation, as she begged strangers for help Credit: Tiktok/@millie.2103 Eager for advice, the struggling content creator took to social media to beg for help. Millie, who is from the UK, has a job and also makes "a little bit of money" from her TikTok videos via the Creator Fund. But in a short clip that was posted with the caption 'love having no money', Millie got candid on her current financial situation. The influencer is eligible for Universal Credit, which is given to UK residents with a low income or those who need help with their living costs, as well as child benefits, is still barely getting by. The 'budgeting mum', who previously revealed that haters called her a 'benefits scrounger', admitted: 'I've only got £40 until my next payday - my electricity's almost gone, my petrol lights just come on and we've basically got no food in the house, so what amazing timing. 'This hasn't happened in a very long time, well I say very long time, probably about two to three months, which is long enough time, I suppose.' As she covered her face in disbelief, Millie questioned: 'What am I meant to do? Is there a way to get free electric? I obviously can't get free petrol.' Millie, who pays over £2,000 a month on nursery fees and is often left 'skint', claimed that food wouldn't be an issue, but 'doesn't know what to do' in this situation. She continued: 'Please give me suggestions - I've got three kids and another one on the way, so obviously we'll need to eat, we need electric because you can't run a house without electric and if I don't have petrol in the car, then I've got to pay for a bus and that's just even more money, which I don't have.' Desperate for support, the brunette, who recently claimed that people think she is 'rolling in it' because she receives Universal Credit, begged: 'Please help. I don't know what to do.' Debunking Myths: Life on Universal Credit The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @millie.2103 just 24 hours ago, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 66,300 views, 1,986 likes and 65 comments. Social media users were stunned by Millie's situation and many eagerly raced to the comments to share their advice. Contact your local council. Another added: 'Take the kids out of nursery as it's crippling you financially at the minute. Go on the sick due to stress from work as you are stressed. What help is available for parents?
