Sixers' Paul George ranked No. 18 small forward in history of the NBA
However, in George's defense, he dealt with a variety of injuries that slowed him down. When he is right, George is one of the best players in this league and nobody questions that. He is a 9-time All-Star and has led both the Indiana Pacers and the Clippers to the conference finals in his career. The Sixers are hoping they get that version of George in the upcoming season.
HoopsHype ranked the top 20 small forwards in the history of the game and George came in ranked No. 18 on the list:
Already boasting a borderline Hall-of-Fame resume, Paul George could undoubtedly finish even higher on this ranking if he bounces back from injury problems. An elite two-way player, George can score at a high level from three, the midrange and around the cup.
The only things really missing from George's resume is an MVP award--he finished third in MVP voting in 2019--and a championship. He was close with the Pacers and the Clippers, but wasn't able to get over the hump. He will look to get healthy and help the Sixers do so before his deal is up in the next three years.
