Queen Camilla Honored Queen Elizabeth II at Trooping the Colour 2025 With Diamond Brooch Worn by the Late Monarch on Her 16th Birthday
Queen Camilla joined distinguished members of the British royal family on Saturday for the annual Trooping the Colour event in London. The Queen Consort and wife of King Charles III stood on the balcony alongside the monarch, his eldest son, Prince William, and Kate Middleton, as well as Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
For the special occasion, Queen Camilla used her accessories to pay homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Along with her white Anna Valentine coatdress and coordinated Philip Treacy hat, Queen Camilla adorned her ensemble with a brooch from Queen Elizabeth II's personal collection.

Queen Camilla wore the Grenadier brooch, a significant piece that holds sentimental value from Queen Elizabeth II's collection. 'Set with diamonds, sapphires, rubies and emeralds, the bejewelled piece features the cypher of her father, King George VI,' Zack Stone, a fine jewelry expert from U.K. retailer Steven Stone, shared with WWD.
'The late monarch first donned the brooch during a Parade of the Grenadier Guards on her 16th birthday in 1942. She continued to wear it for various parades and inspections of the Grenadier Guards throughout her reign. Its final appearance was at Windsor Castle in 2018.'
Queen Camilla wore the brooch on a previous occasion during a Buckingham Palace ceremony in April 2023. She also wore the brooch at the Trooping the Colour 2024 event, according to the experts at Steve Stone. The brooch is estimated to be worth 10,000 pounds, which translates to approximately $13,600.
The queen consort has often used such public occasions as Trooping the Colour to pay homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II. On previous royal engagements, Queen Camilla wore tiaras, necklaces and other brooches from Queen Elizabeth's personal collection.
In a similar vein, Kate Middleton will often use her style on such occasions to pay homage to Princess Diana. For Saturday's Trooping the Colour event, the Princess of Wales turned to one of her late mother-in-law's favorite designers for her attire. Middleton wore an aquamarine coatdress courtesy of Catherine Walker, a designer Princess Diana ofter wore in the '80s and '90s.
