Megan McKenna looks radiant as she shows off her second wedding dress during romantic nuptials to husband Oliver Burke

Daily Mail10-06-2025
Megan McKenna looked radiant as she showed off the second dress she wore during her nuptials to Oliver Burke over the weekend.
The former TOWIE star, 32, and footballer tied the knot in a romantic ceremony held at Grantley Hall in North Yorkshire.
Megan had already revealed the stunning dress she said 'I do' in and has now revealed the stunning gown she slipped into for the reception.
Both dresses were designed by Peter Langner with the second taking inspiraiton from former US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, widely considered a fashion icon.
Sharing a snap of herself descending the staircase at Grantley Hall, Megan wrote: 'My second dress was so special, Peter designed me a couture dress of dreams. Inspired by Jackie O.

'It was everything and more. Before our first dance & then the official Burke's after party I wanted to slip into something more sexy.
'I've added in some snaps from the evening… I hope you're enjoying my wedding content. There's a few more posts to go.'
Megan shared a clip of her and Oliver taking to the dancefloor and the moment they cut into their incredibly luxurious seven-tier wedding cake.
The former X Factor winner also posted a steamy photo of her and Oliver sharing a kiss as she showed off her garter.
The dress she married in was a silk mikado ballgown featuring a voluminous pleated skirt, a sweeping train, and a structured corset bodice with exposed boning, embellished with hand-embroidered macramé lace roses.
Completing the look was a long cathedral veil, softly draped and adorned with appliqués of three different French Chantilly laces, fading into a delicate degradé effect toward the center.
In March, Megan teased details about the couple's nuptials, as she went for a fitting for multiple wedding dresses after spending three weeks apart from Oliver.
Oli got down on one knee after enjoying a romantic boat trip in Montenegro back in June 2023, after a whirlwind five month romance.
And Megan gushed it was 'so exciting' that the pair were getting closer to being husband and wife, as she explained she had to be remeasured for her wedding dresses after shedding several pounds.
Captioning the post, she said: 'Hadn't seen Oli in 3 weeks, this is how our day went… don't worry guys Oli hasn't seen my wedding dresses.
'They are in Italy atm being made! Eeek. I had to pop in to get my measurements taken again as my baby weight is dropping off me!!!! Not long now ♥️'.
In September, Megan left the UK and moved to Germany to be with her footballer fiancé Olly, making the decision to give birth over there.
The Scotsman plays as a right winger or forward for the German football team, Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.
In a previous Instagram video, Megan announced: 'Guess what! I'm moving to Germany. I know I did some stories yesterday about packing.
'And I think I few of you thought I was going into labour but no lets hope I don't go into labour because I am now giving birth in Germany.
'I know a few of you guys have been like 'Where's Olly?' Olly is in Germany and all our stuff has been in storage for a couple of months.
'A bit crazy that I'm moving countries. I'm actually excited, like it's obviously going to be a big change.'
Megan revealed that they had to 'move hospitals very last minute' and it was 'crazy' and 'all a bit of a rush'.
The original plan was for Olly to fly back in time for her due date. However Megan was worried that her partner would miss the birth of their baby.

Gladiators in chaos as FOUR stars are injured during filming for new BBC series

Gladiators is in chaos after four of the athletes were are injured during filming for the new series. Professionals, Legend, Diamond, Bionic and Athena, have all suffered injuries during the competition, which is set to be aired in January 2026. Filming began last month at Utilita Arena in Sheffield with Bradley Walsh and his son Barney returning to host. Diamond (Livi Sheldon) has suffered a knee injury, rupturing her ACL and MCL during filming. Legend (Matt Morsia) has tore a bicep, while Bionic (Matty Campbell) dislocated his shoulder and Athena (Karenjeet Kaur Bains) also injured her knee. A source told The Sun: 'Gladiators is the ultimate test of speed, strength and endurance - and four of its champions have paid the price.' They added: 'It just goes to show that these games are tough and even our professionals can suffer injuries.' Meanwhile the upcoming series of Celebrity Gladiators will come out just before the civilian one. A new batch of super fit celebrities are set to take on the Gladiators in a battle of strength and skill. The reboot of Gladiators was a smash hit when it aired last year, and a celebrity spin-off was quickly commissioned, featuring comedians and gym lovers. But this year the casting team have stepped it up and found four stars who can definitely give the Gladiators a run for their money. The Sun reported last month that model Vogue Williams will be joined on the show by fitness guru Joe Wicks, former Olympic boxer Nicola Adams, and gym-obsessed I'm A Celeb winner Sam Thompson. Vogue won the first series of Bear Grylls: Mission Survive and regularly shares fitness tips and workout videos with her Instagram followers. Meanwhile Joe dominated British TV screens during Covid thanks to his at-home workout clips, and reality star Sam often shares his gym progress. Former Olympian Nicola could however prove the one to beat, after retiring undefeated in 2019 and becoming the first female boxer to become an Olympic champion after winning gold at London 2012. A source told the publication: 'Last year, producers of the debut celebrity version played it for laughs with three comedians taking part — with hilarious results for viewers. 'But this year they've assembled four celebrities who can give the Gladiators a serious run for their money, and serve up a clash to savour. The first series of Celebrity Gladiators saw Joel Dommett and Ellie Taylor crowned the winners after a tense finale.

Guy Pearce set to play Rupert Murdoch in Danny Boyle-directed drama

Danny Boyle is set to direct an adaptation of award-winning play Ink, based on the rise of the Rupert Murdoch empire. According to Deadline, Guy Pearce is in talks to take on the lead role with Jack O'Connell also in negotiations to star as Larry Lamb, who Murdoch hired to run the Sun in the late 1960s. The film will be written by original playwright James Graham, whose other screen credits include recent TV drama Brian and Maggie. Ink was a critical hit after it premiered on stage in 2017 going on to win an Olivier award and two Tonys. The Guardian's Michael Billington called it a 'gripping piece of theatre'. Murdoch previously referred to Boyle as 'a creative genius' on social media after the London Olympics opening ceremony. He also claimed it was 'a little too politically correct'. Boyle recently returned to the zombie franchise he helped to create with 28 Years Later, a box office success earlier this summer making $150m worldwide. The film featured O'Connell in the final scenes and he will be a more prominent feature in the sequel out next year. Boyle is attached to make the as-yet-confirmed third film dependent on the success of the second which will also see the return of Cillian Murphy. O'Connell also recently starred in Ryan Coogler's smash hit horror Sinners and will also soon be seen in Godzilla x Kong: Supernova. Pearce received his first Oscar nomination this year for Brady Corbet's The Brutalist and will soon be seen alongside Keira Knightley in mystery thriller The Woman in Cabin 10 and Ridley Scott's The Dog Stars.

I'm as likely renew my vows as to try the new hot husbanding trend

I have been giving some thought to renewing my wedding vows. Yes, do congratulate me. And maybe think about a gift? John Lewis vouchers are always nice. It'll be a small affair — about 200 guests, a photogenic lake, lots of flattering speeches about me, me, me. Naturally I'll release a few doves for the optimal Instagram aesthetic. Sorry did I say some thought? I meant no thought. None whatsoever. I would be as likely to renew my vows as I would to practise 'hot husbanding'. No clue? This is another tiresome trend apparently growing in popularity (sceptical face). It is when a wife finds their husband so 'hot' that it arouses her to watch him having no-strings sex with a woman of her choosing but at no point getting involved. Well. If I had to sit on a hardback chair watching my husband's buttocks bobbing away atop a stranger it'd put me off coitus for life. It's why I've never gone for a mirrored ceiling.
