
Lacoste taps Adèle Exarchopoulos as brand ambassador
Adèle Exarchopoulos made a notable appearance at the latest Lacoste runway show in March, on the centre court at Roland Garros in Paris. The French actor wore a Lacoste total look consisting of a black leather jacket, matching balaclava and wide trousers, worn with a white Lacoste handbag.
The first pictures featuring Exarchopoulos as Lacoste's new brand ambassador include the same Lenglen leather handbag, in a deliberate reference to the runway show, but the rest of the styling is quite different. Lying prone on an apple green floor, against a backdrop in the same acidic hue, Exarchopoulos is pictured with her face turned towards the lens, wearing a green bare-back top, the handbag arranged like a skirt and Storm 96 2K sneakers on her feet, in a tennis-style look.
'[Exarchopoulos] was born in Paris and perfectly captures the elegant nonchalance that constitutes the essence of Lacoste,' the brand said in a press release. 'She will embody the brand with boldness and style in a variety of statements, featuring the leather goods category too,' added Lacoste.
Exarchopoulos won Best Supporting Actress at the 2024 César film awards for starring in All Your Faces, and is an ambassador of Yves Saint Laurent Beauty. She is now the new French face of Lacoste, the female counterpart to actor Pierre Niney, Lacoste brand ambassador since 2024. Niney was one of the headliners in Lacoste's 'Play Big' campaign last year, created by the BETC agency, alongside other artistic and sporting celebrities like Novak Djokovic, Venus Williams, Jeon Somi, Ahn Hyo Seop and Wang Yibo.
Lacoste, which said it generated a revenue just shy of €3 billion in 2024, is aiming to reach €4 billion by 2028-2030, according to CEO Thierry Guibert. Expanding the North America business is one of Lacoste's stated growth drivers, and the same surely goes for boosting consumption of its women's products, explaining why the sportswear brand has signed up the highly popular Exarchopoulos.

Louis Vuitton names Carole Bildé new SVP of image and communications
has appointed Carole Bildé to be its new SVP of image and communications. Bildé joins Vuitton from champagne house Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, another stellar marque within the luxury conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. At Veuve Clicquot, Bildé was chief marketing and communications officer. 'I am pleased to announce the appointment of Carole Bildé as Senior Vice President, Image and Communication, effective June 10, 2025. 'In this key role, she brilliantly orchestrated the brand and communications strategy, while driving a dynamic of marketing innovation and cultural identity… I'm sure you'll all join me in giving Carole the warmest of welcomes in her new role,' added Beccari. At Vuitton, Bildé's mission will be to manage the brand's image and communications strategy, amplify the house's influence and affirm its position as a leader in the world of luxury by drawing on the expertise of its dedicated teams. In this organization, Matteo Golinelli and the visual merchandising teams will also report directly to Beccari. Prior to joining LVMH, Bildé was the worldwide head of brand, communications, digital, and e-commerce at Chloé. Previously, Bildé spent 12 years at ad agency behemoth Ogilvy & Mather as an associate director. Bildé succeeds Blake Harrop, who will soon be taking on new responsibilities within the group. 'I'd like to thank Blake. He has played an active role in launching new strategic partnerships, which have strengthened the brand's global influence. I wish him every success in his new role,' added Beccari. Harrop joined Vuitton in early 2024, and though his time at Louis Vuitton was short, it was also busy. During his tenure at Vuitton, the brand launched a global campaign featuring Zendaya for its Murakami collection. While in New York, his department oversaw the unveiling of a gigantic trunk façade at Vuitton's flagship 57th Street store. His time at the French brand also coincided with Vuitton's heavy dive into Formula One, becoming a major sponsor whose brand name now features in giant crescents over each championship race. Prior to joining Louis Vuitton, Harrop was president at the advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy for 13 years, where he led its Tokyo, Shanghai and Amsterdam offices, creating dynamic campaigns with brands such as Nike, Instagram, Hennessy, Airbnb, Meta, Samsung and Ray-Ban.

Sabalenka dethrones Swiatek to reach first French Open final
The Belarusian snapped Swiatek's French Open winning streak at 26 matches with a 7-6 (7/1), 4-6, 6-0 success and will face either second seed Coco Gauff or French surprise hero Lois Boisson on Saturday for the title. "It feels incredible but also I understand that the job is not done yet. I'm just thrilled with the performance today," said the 27-year-old. "What can I say, 6-0 - it couldn't be much more perfect than that!" Sabalenka edged a topsy-turvy first set that featured eight breaks of serve in a tie-break, before Swiatek hit back to level the match. The finale turned out to be a complete anti-climax, as Swiatek made 12 unforced errors in the third set and won only six points. Sabalenka is targeting a fourth Grand Slam title and first not on hard courts, after winning last year's US Open and the Australian Open back-to-back in 2023 and 2024. Swiatek has still not reached a WTA final since lifting the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen 12 months ago. She showed signs of a revival on the Paris clay where she has dominated since lifting the title as a teenager in 2020, but her game deserted her in the deciding set as she slipped to only the third French Open defeat of her career. Sabalenka has now won their last two meetings, and five of 13 in total. This was the first time the pair, the dominant players in women's tennis of the past few years, have gone head-to-head at a Grand Slam tournament since Swiatek's win in the 2022 US Open semi-finals en route to the title. Sabalenka will be a strong favourite to lift the trophy when she takes on either Gauff, who she lost to in the 2023 US Open final, or world number 361 Boisson. Sabalenka's strong start Sabalenka roared out of the blocks as Swiatek double-faulted to give up a break in the very first game. The top seed quickly built a 3-0 lead with a double-break, as Swiatek mustered only four points in the opening exchanges. But Sabalenka's hold in game two proved to be the only one until Swiatek cut the gap to 4-3 to stay within touching distance, before making it four successive games to edge in front. Sabalenka did manage to create a chance to serve out the set, but unsurprisingly, Swiatek broke again to force a tie-break as the Belarusian lashed a groundstroke long. The three-time Grand Slam champion finally got the first set on the board, though, blasting through the tie-break as Swiatek eventually cracked. The breaks of serve kept coming in the second set, until Swiatek managed to hold for a 3-1 advantage. The pair belatedly stabilised behind their serves, albeit too late for Sabalenka in the second set as Swiatek held to love to force a decider. The four-time champion had never lost a three-set match at the French Open, but found herself sliding towards defeat as she slipped 2-0 behind in the third. Swiatek, who has built a reputation for dishing out bagels, then wilted under the pressure in a disappointing final set that lasted just 22 minutes.
