Ruthless Australia deny Andre Russell a winning farewell
Put into bat, West Indies managed 172-8 as opener Brandon King topscored with a breezy 51 and Russell smashed 36 off 15 balls in his final knock in international cricket.
Australia's Inglis (78) and Green (56) then pulverised the West Indies attack in an unbroken 131-run partnership to complete the chase in 15.2 overs, putting the tourists 2-0 ahead in the five-match series.
West Indies did not help their own cause by spilling six catches.
"I'm very grateful to end my career here playing in front of my own crowd, family and friends," Russell said.
"The result didn't go my way, but at the end of the day, I'm happy, I'm grateful.
"I wish the boys all the very best, and I wish them luck moving forward," added the 37-year-old two-time World Cup winner.
Australia sprang a surprise by asking Glenn Maxwell (12) to open the innings with skipper Mitchell Marsh (21) but the ploy did not pay off, both departing caught behind inside six overs.
However, Inglis smashed five sixes in an unbeaten 33-ball blitz, while Green's second successive fifty of the series included four of them.
"I think I felt like I managed the tempo pretty well at times," player of the match Inglis said.
"After probably being a bit lucky early being dropped, I felt like I managed those middle periods really well with Greeny.
"We sort of identified spin was going to be really tough to play on that wicket, so we sort of took our medicine there and went after the quicks."
Australia, who won the preceding Test series 3-0, can clinch the series with a third successive victory in Basseterre on Saturday.

Farhan's 50 lifts Pakistan to 178-7 in third T20 against Bangladesh
Opener Sahibzada Farhan hit a solid half century to guide Pakistan to an improved total of 178-7 in the third and final Twenty20 international against Bangladesh in Dhaka on Thursday. Farhan's 41-ball 63 studded with five sixes and six boundaries as well as Hasan Nawaz's 17-ball 33 with three sixes and a boundary helped Pakistan post a challenging total after they were sent into bat. Having already won their first-ever T20I series against Pakistan with victories in the first two matches, Bangladesh rested five of their main players including spearhead Mustafizur Rahman. Pakistan had scored 110 and 125 in the first two matches — also in Dhaka. Farhan, who replaced Fakhar Zaman as one of two changes for Pakistan, put on 82 for the opening stand with Saim Ayub who scored a 15-ball 21 with a six and two boundaries. Farhan, 29, fell in the 12th over to spinner Nasum Ahmed who finished with 2-22 in his four overs. Pacer Taskin Ahmed took 3-38. Mohammad Nawaz, who scored 16-ball 27 with two sixes and as many fours, and skipper Salman Agha made 12 to help Pakistan add 46 runs in the last five overs. Associated Press

Weatherald throws in name for Australia opening spot for Ashes ICC World Test Championship
Jake Weatherald has been knocking on the door for senior selection with consistent performances in domestic cricket. He topped the run charts in last year's Sheffield Shield with 905 runs at an average of 50.33, including three centuries. Weatherald carried that form into the Sri Lanka 'A' series, notching up scores of 54 and a commanding 183 in the two matches. With a mountain of runs piled up in domestic since his debut in 2016, Weatherald's consistency will be hard to ignore. The 30-year-old has scored 5021 runs in 73 first-class matches at an average of 37.47, and will have his name in the hat for a senior call-up ahead of the Ashes later this year. "If you keep making runs, of course you're going to get noticed more, and I've done that," Weatherald said after his innings of 183 against Sri Lanka 'A'. "Obviously there's some great candidates there as well, and they've earned their right to be there. "So to be amongst them is a pretty proud moment. "But I'm batting well, and I think I'm ready to go if it comes to that moment." Weatherald's form comes at an ideal time for Australia, who may be eyeing fresh options at the top of the order following a dip in form during the recent Test series against West Indies. Despite Australia recording a 3-0 series sweep and leading the World Test Championship standings with 36 points, concerns remain around the top order. Usman Khawaja managed only 117 runs across three matches at an average of 19.50, while youngster Sam Konstas struggled with just 50 runs at 8.33. Their partnership reached double figures only thrice, while on two occasions, Australia lost a wicket without a run being scored. The opening pair reached double figures only three times, with Australia losing a wicket for zero on two occasions. With his experience and recent consistency, the 30-year-old Weatherald could be a timely solution, especially as he feels more assured in his game than ever before. "Just age, getting used to what I'm doing, understanding my game, understanding what I need to do to make runs and bat [for] long periods of time," Weatherald added on what has made him tick recently. "And just being confident I can do it in any conditions, just believing that I've got the right method and sticking to it throughout my innings and not being taken away by the wicket or the situation. "Just being able to lock in and do my thing." There's still time for both incumbents and challengers to stake their claim for the opening spot, with four rounds of Sheffield Shield action in the new season before the Ashes begins on 21 November.

Australia beef up pack for must-win British & Irish Lions Test
Australia coach Joe Schmidt has added a considerable heft to his pack with the inclusion of Rob Valetini, Will Skelton and Dave Porecki in his starting line-up for Saturday's second Test against the British & Irish Lions. The Wallabies were outmuscled by the tourists in the first hour of last week's series opener in Brisbane, losing 27-19. The return of flanker Valetini and lock Skelton from calf injuries should help in that area. Hooker Porecki missed that defeat because of a concussion sustained in Australia's warm-up match against Fiji and his recall in place of Matt Faessler should help in the lineout, where the Wallabies struggled at Lang Park. Schmidt resisted making any further changes to his starting side and 22-year-old Tom Lynagh will lead an unchanged backline from fly-half at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in his second Test start. Flanker Nick Champion de Crespigny and Faessler have been dropped to allow the return of Valetini and Porecki, while lock Jeremy Williams remains in the matchday squad among the replacements after making way for Skelton. Schmidt has opted for a 6-2 split in favour of the forwards on the bench with the powerful Langi Gleeson also returning from injury to join flanker Carlo Tizzano as back-up for the loose forwards. "The squad has recovered well after a very physical first Test and the week's preparation here in Melbourne has allowed us a bit more time together," Schmidt said in a news release. "We took some confidence from the second half last week, but we know we'll need to improve further against a Lions team that will bring plenty of fire to the contest on Saturday night." Owen Farrell has been named on the bench for the British & Irish Lions' attempt at completing a series victory over Australia in Melbourne. Four days after captaining the Lions in the midweek victory over the First Nations and Pasifika, Farrell will make his first Test appearance since the 2023 World Cup as fly-half and inside centre cover. The former England international has six previous Lions Test caps to his name and is set to make his 22nd appearance for the touring side. Head coach Andy Farrell has made three changes to the starting line-up that won the first Test, including the removal of Sione Tuipulotu, who is jettisoned from the matchday 23 completely with Bundee Aki taking his place in the number 12 jersey. Joe McCarthy has lost his battle with the foot condition plantar fasciitis, so Ollie Chessum is drafted into the second row and there is an adjustment at loosehead prop where Andrew Porter is preferred ahead of Ellis Genge. 'We have put ourselves in a good position after the first Test, but we know there will be a massive reaction from this Wallaby team,' said Andy Farrell. 'Everyone saw the quality they have in Brisbane and we know we will have to be a lot better than we were last week.' The third and final Test takes place at Sydney's Stadium Australia on August 2.
