Kevin Durant, Lil B resurrect decade-long beef after Rockets trade

The post Kevin Durant, Lil B resurrect decade-long beef after Rockets trade appeared first on ClutchPoints.
Kevin Durant had some time to call out Lil B after the rapper dissed his basketball skills.
'Kevin Durant you still owe me that 1 on 1 you ain't ready real NBA I really love basketball and hoop I mean that!' Lil B wrote. 'Whatever basketball court you want ! And yo raps is trash bithc [sic] – Lil B.'
The rapper followed up with another post on X: 'Kevin Durant really ain't bout no basketball s**t yo ain't got no real paper you really just a h* pull up whenever u ready any basketball court on earth I mean that im waiting for you,' the rapper wrote on Monday, June 23, adding his signature to conclude the post on X.
The newly drafted Houston Rockets player swiftly reacted to the post, as it could be the beginning of the two rehashing their beef that has lasted for over a decade.

'Broke boy asking for a feature in my DM..' KD began. 'U wouldn't be able to get a shot off on me lil one, you was once a thing, I'm still that.'
The 'Back On' rapper responded, 'Got it.'
Lil B most likely began to troll KD again since the former Phoenix Suns star made headlines when he was traded on Sunday (June 22) to the Houston Rockets. The blockbuster trade gives KD to Houston, and in return, the Suns will receive Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, as well as the 10th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and five future second-round picks.
However, as for the beef between KD and Lil B, it began when the two-time NBA champion dissed Lil B calling him a 'wack' rapper. That's when Lil B fired back and put a 'curse' on the NBA star saying that he would 'never win' an NBA championship.

'KEVIN DURANT WILL NEVER WIN THE TITLE AFTER HE SAID 'LIL B' IS A WACK RAPPER, 'THE BASEDGODS CURSE'
#THEBASEDGODSCURSE ON DURANT – Lil B,' the rapper wrote in 2011.
When Lil B put the curse on KD, he failed to win a championship until the rapper 'lifted the curse' in 2016. KD ended up winning not only one but two championships — back-to-back to say the least in 2017 and 2018 with the Bay Area artist's home team, The Golden State Warriors.
While their beef had died down a little, Lil B reignited it again when he dropped 'F*ck KD.'
In the song, Lil B trolls KD egging him on to play a game of 21 — where two players go one-on-one and the winner is the first play to accumulate 21 points.

'Score on me if you talking 'bout points/ I like Roc Nation and I love JAY Z/ But I'm west side I'm screaming 'f**k KD,' you said that I'm whack, see me on the court/ F**k Kevin Durant, f**k Kevin Durant/ I've played the game of basketball my whole goddamn life/ I ain't never watched you on the motherf**king TV/ I'ma tell you something man, aye man/ See me in a game of 21 and I'ma shut the f**k up man,' he raps on the diss record.
While it has been less than 48 hours since KD has been traded to the Rockets, its unsure if Lil B's 'curse' will be reignited.

Lauri Markkanen? Trae Young? Raptors don't need to dive into next big offseason trade

TORONTO — Part of the problem with the rushed nature of this part of the NBA schedule is that we don't have time to digest anything. That feels especially pertinent given what happened on Sunday night. In their loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, the Indiana Pacers also suffered a brutal blow to their hopes for next year, with star guard Tyrese Haliburton going down with a torn Achilles. There is little time to bemoan the injury or feel for the Pacers, authors of one of the most magical playoff runs ever. The NBA Finals runs into Wednesday's draft runs into the start of free agency early next week. If you aren't adjusting on the fly, you'll get run over. Advertisement There is a danger in that, too. The Toronto Raptors are one of the teams that knew they had to assess a weakened Eastern Conference and what it means for their future before the Haliburton injury. Next year, the Boston Celtics won't have Jayson Tatum, the Milwaukee Bucks won't have Damian Lillard and, now, the Pacers won't have Haliburton. That leaves the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks as the conference favourites, but the Cavaliers are coming off a rough playoff exit and face financial headaches, while the Knicks don't have a head coach and were unconvincing in the playoffs, despite winning two rounds. 'I mean, (the openness of the East) was a big part of why we did the Brandon Ingram trade,' Raptors assistant general manager Dan Tolzman said Monday, when he spoke to the media about the draft. You'll recall that the Raptors made the move before Tatum, Lillard and Haliburton went down. Indeed, things are uncertain. After trading for Desmond Bane, the Orlando Magic seem ready to step up, but let's see them post an above-average offence for the first time in a decade and a half before we hand them the third seed. The Detroit Pistons are promising, with a genuine star in Cade Cunningham, but hardly a sure thing. You can throw the Raptors in a bucket with the Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and, maybe, Charlotte Hornets. As ever, the Philadelphia 76ers belong in their own bucket, presumably one riddled with holes in the bottom. That has teams such as the Raptors wondering whether they should make a big push toward immediate contention, the opportunity being so clearly there for the taking. To that, I think there is a risk of losing sight of the actual goal: creating a multi-year window for contention, not taking a one-year stab at greatness. To that end, at least Kevin Durant is on his way to Houston. He never made sense with the Raptors because he is turning 37, even before considering the Raptors weren't on his preferred list of teams, presumably affecting his willingness to sign an extension. Giannis Antetokounmpo would be worth the risk, but there are no signs he is available. After that, who really fits with the Raptors, assuming two of their five big-money players have to be moved in such a deal? Advertisement Before contemplating that, remember that: a) the Raptors are already poised to play footsie with the luxury tax. They could decide to pay it, but a lot of the teams dangling difference-makers either want prospects or savings, and the Raptors can't offer much of the latter; b) Barnes and Ingram haven't played a minute together, and the Raptors are 40-84 since they traded away Pascal Siakam, likely cutting into their eagerness to throw more than a pick or two into a trade for any non-star upgrade; c) Jakob Poeltl is the Raptors' only proven centre and Immanuel Quickley is their only proven point guard. Moving either for a wing or forward would be complicated. With that out of the way… • Utah's Lauri Markkanen is probably the only player who is clearly available and makes sense around Scottie Barnes. A framework of Markkanen and Collin Sexton for Quickley and R.J. Barrett works, but the Jazz would presumably want a similar return in picks to what the Memphis Grizzlies got for Bane. Do the Raptors believe enough in a core of Barnes, Markkanen, Ingram and Poeltl to do that? Markkanen is coming off a down year, but he's 28 and can shoot, making it conceptually intriguing. • Boston traded Jrue Holiday late Monday, and the Celtics are likely to dangle Kristaps Porziņģis if they want to gain further savings rather than moving Derrick White or Jaylen Brown, both of whom would make more sense for the Raptors. The Raptors cannot offer much financial relief to Boston, and Porziņģis is not worth the trouble given his injury issues. • Atlanta's Trae Young might be gettable, but Tolzman spoke for a while on Monday about the importance of defence in the playoffs. Young is also not a natural fit in Darko Rajaković's system. • Memphis's Ja Morant and New Orleans' Zion Williamson are so talented that the Raptors would at least have to talk about either, but there is no indication those guys are available, never mind the risks they would bring. Advertisement If the Raptors can find a need-for-need trade out there, that could be a different story. It is unlikely the Raptors can get the most out of Barnes, Barrett and Ingram if they are all playing more than 30 minutes a night. Other than that, the move is to play a half-season and see how good this team can be. With Ingram, the Raptors have already sped up their rebuild. They can afford to let it play out for a moment. Fever's Sophie Cunningham celebrates hitting 1M TikTok followers after sticking up for Caitlin Clark

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham started out last Wednesday with just over 300,000 TikTok followers coming off a heated game against the Connecticut Sun, which saw her get ejected when she doled out some retribution before the buzzer sounded. The moment she tussled with Sun guard Jacy Sheldon, who had poked Caitlin Clark in the eye earlier in the game, she became an instant sensation. Cunningham had previously gone viral before for her outfit choices while she was with the Phoenix Mercury. However, even she may admit that she never saw her popularity soar as it did over the last six days. On Saturday, Cunningham surpassed more than 1 million followers on TikTok and thanked her newfound fans for their appreciation. "should buy yall a beer or 2! Cheeeers friends," she captioned a video. As of Tuesday morning, Cunningham had 1.4 million TikTok followers. Cunningham gained huge favor for her apparent defense of Clark, who was not only poked in the face, but pushed to the floor in the team's win over the Sun. She was fined for her actions following the foul on Sheldon and for the ejection, but she was adamant in her defense of Clark. "During that, it was just part of the game. I think the refs had a lot to do with that. It was a build-up for a couple years now of them just not protecting the star player of the WNBA," Cunningham told reporters days after the team lost to the Golden State Valkyries. "At the end of the day, I'm going to protect my teammates. That's what I do." Ahead of Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Aces, Cunningham showed off her bond with Clark and fellow teammate Lexie Hull. She wore a shirt that read, "Tres Leches." Cunningham and the Fever have hit a losing spell the last two games but have an opportunity to get back on the right track Tuesday night against the Seattle Storm. Lena Dunham Is Living Her Botticelli Meets British Icon Nigella Lawson Fantasy

The cherry red dress features one draped shoulder on a strapless bodice, with draping that cascades over the hips into a train. The back is a tied corset with interweaving draping. It feels romantic, yet powerful and full of movement. Misner's sensual signature look speaks in service to the contours of the body, using draping techniques to extend and celebrate curves. 'I noticed Lena liked the corseted pieces that had drape work on top, one of my signature methods—each piece is one-of-one,' says Misner. 'This method helps me manipulate silhouette, adding volume to hips and accentuating a corseted waist. Originally, we were going to do a midi dress with a boned hoop, but switched to a full length to make it more red carpet-worthy. They really trusted me and let me do my own thing, so when it was finished, it was the first time they had seen what it would look like.' Misner prioritized both Lena's comfort and support in the dress, making an internal boned base, with a hand-sewn drape put on afterwards. 'I knew she would be wearing the dress for a whole evening, and I didn't want it to feel uncomfortable or constricted, regardless of the corsetry,' she explains. As the designer does with each custom piece, she built Dunham a mannequin to match her measurements and then worked directly off it as a body double. 'Together they made possible the most striking Botticelli fantasy; a little bit early Renaissance, a little Nigella Lawson—my curvy British icon,' says Dunham. 'It embraces what I love about my body, drapes in inventive ways, and makes me feel both powerful and innocent. It's such a gift to wear. Michael and Ellie are both so young and have such vision.' Lena's custom Ellie Misner dress fitted on a mannequin made to her measurements by the designer. 'Every piece from Ellie is truly one of a kind. Her dedication to individuality and creativity—paired with an unwavering commitment to size inclusivity—is what makes Ellie herself so unique,' says Handler. Fitting, however, had to happen digitally—with a lot of yapping and quicktime getting to know each other. Misner FaceTimed Lena, Handler, and his team in New York when the dress got to them, and a week later for her digital fitting. The dress fit perfectly, and they decided to go bolder and make a long, detachable train. Handler sourced a matching fabric and built it in New York under Misner's guidance. 'It's something that gave her that red carpet 'wow' moment,' says Handler.
