UAE sends 38 aid trucks to Gaza through Rafah crossing
The convoy included 38 trucks, with 18 carrying essential supplies such as food, medical aid and infant formula.
The remaining 20 trucks delivered equipment for a new water pipeline that will connect a UAE-built desalination plant in Egypt to displacement zones in Gaza between Rafah and Khan Younis.
The pipeline will span 7 km and produce 2 million gallons of water per day.
This follows an earlier delivery of 25 trucks, bringing the total number of vehicles supporting the water infrastructure project to 45, with all necessary components now in place.
Meanwhile, the UAE has resumed its 'Birds of Goodness' aid airdrop missions to provide critical relief to the people of Gaza.

UAE continues Gaza aid airdrops for fifth consecutive day
For the fifth day in a row, the UAE has continued its humanitarian airdrop operations over Gaza, in coordination with Jordan, as part of the ongoing 'Birds of Goodness' initiative. The mission on Thursday, marked the 58th airdrop, aiming to reach isolated areas and ease the worsening humanitarian crisis. So far, more than 3,787 tonnes of food and relief supplies have been delivered via 197 aircraft. In addition to the airdrops, 41 UAE aid trucks entered Gaza today through various land crossings, including 12 carrying medical supplies donated to the World Health Organisation, alongside food and other essentials. Fire breaks out at residential building in Dubai Marina
A fire broke out early Friday morning from the upper floor of a high-rise residential tower in Dubai Marina. Syrian student Z., who lives in Marina Sail — the building that caught fire — described being awoken around 3:3am by the sound of alarms and a prerecorded evacuation message. "It was a scary experience," Z. said. 'But we're safe and managed to get out before things got serious.' Many residents, still in their pajamas, evacuated their apartments in a hurry. Lebanese expat P.A. was seen carrying his pet turtle while fleeing the building. "I don't know where exactly the fire is, but there's too much smoke inside the building when I exited," P.A. said. M.K., a resident of the first floor, felt fortunate to already be awake, as he was preparing for work when the fire alarm sounded. Emergency services are on-site and working to contain the fire.
