Pittsburgh-area man arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot police officers

A 59-year-old Westmoreland County man wanted for terroristic threats has been arrested.
Pennsylvania State Police said Damon Deemer made several harassing phone calls threatening to shoot officers, dispatchers and their families.
Prior to the phone threats, police said Deemer broke into the Forest Hills Police Department on June 20 with a loaded magazine. Deemer said that his wife was in the parking lot with the Pennsylvania registration and that there were six other firearms in their vehicle. The Forest Hills Police Department seized the firearms and released Deemer and his wife on pending charges.
Two days after this release, police said Deemer was also involved in a motor vehicle crash in Allegheny County. His car was towed.
The Kiski Valley Station of the Pennsylvania State Police was attempting to locate Deemer. In an update on Tuesday, police said Deemer was taken into custody.

Teenage girl shot at SEPTA subway station in North Philadelphia; suspect wanted, police say
A suspect is wanted in a shooting that left a teenage girl injured at a SEPTA subway station on Temple University's campus in North Philadelphia on Tuesday, police said. 2 Texas Tech Officers Ambushed In Campus Shooting, Suspect Killed
A routine check on a suspicious vehicle turned violent early Tuesday when two Texas Tech University police officers were ambushed in a campus parking lot near the Jones AT&T Stadium. The suspect opened fire on the duo, injuring both officers, before the officers returned fire, killing the suspect on scene. The officers, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, were transported to the University Medical Center, authorities confirmed. Their names, as well as that of the deceased gunman, have not yet been released, as of time of publication. The Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is listed as leading the investigation. According to the Texas Municipal Police Association, the officers were 'ambushed' during what began as a standard safety check, a reminder of the dangers law enforcement officers face daily while protecting the public. 'This is the daily reality for Texas law enforcement. We stand with the wounded. We honor the brave,' The TMPA posted to X on Tuesday morning. The officers' quick response to the shooter on Tuesday morning may have prevented a more tragic outcome for the Texas Tech Campus, and their bravery is being complimented by politicians and locals alike. 'My heart is with the Texas Tech Police Department and the two officers injured this morning. While I am relieved to hear their injuries are non-life-threatening, please join me in praying for their speedy recovery,' Rep. Jodey Arrington (R-TX), who represents Lubbock County and is a Texas Tech alum, posted. 'I am grateful for all who wear the badge and defend our communities – this is another reminder of the risks they take to keep us safe,' Arrington added. LAPD searches for woman who allegedly stole patrol unit while handcuffed
The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for a woman who allegedly stole a patrol unit while she was handcuffed Monday night. The LAPD said at 11:50 p.m., a woman who was handcuffed stole the patrol vehicle at Franklin and Orchid Avenue. She then drove the vehicle to Camrose and Paramount Drive and then fled on foot. Officers canvased the area but were unable to locate the woman and they are continuing to search for her. No damages were reported. It is unclear why the woman was handcuffed.
