Saba Yemen14-06-2025
Tehran – Saba:
A prominent member of the Iranian parliament said on Saturday that his country is seriously considering closing the strategic Strait of Hormuz, in light of the ongoing Zionist aggression against Iran, which has been ongoing since dawn on Friday.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoted Ismail Kowsari, a member of the parliament's Security Committee, as saying that Iran is seriously considering closing the Strait of Hormuz, located between Oman and Iran and considered the world's most important oil shipping gateway.
The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow shipping lane in the Gulf region and is an important outlet for oil to the world, with two-thirds of the world's oil production passing through it.

Student Activities in Jabal al-Sharq District, Dhamar, Celebrating Prophet's Birth Anniversary

Dhamar - Saba: The educational and student sector in schools across Jabal al-Sharq District, Dhamar Governorate, organized celebratory events on Sunday marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family, under the slogan 'Welcome to the Anniversary of the Birth of Light.' Speeches delivered during the events — held at Al-Hurriya, Saba, Al-Sabeen, Uqba bin Nafi, and Rawad Al-Sharq Model Schools — highlighted the deep significance of the occasion in the hearts of Yemenis and their strong spiritual bond with the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him and his family. Speakers emphasized that commemorating the anniversary serves as a moment to renew loyalty, follow the Prophet's guidance, and embody his values , ethics in practice and daily life. They noted that such events are a message of love and fidelity to the Messenger, a reaffirmation of the principles of justice and freedom he brought, and a means of connecting younger generations with his noble legacy, thereby strengthening both religious and national awareness among students. The celebrations included poetry recitations, nasheed performances, and theatrical presentations that reflected the greatness of the occasion. Following the events, students from several schools staged solidarity rallies in support of Gaza, condemning the genocide and systematic starvation committed by the U.S.-backed Zionist enemy against the people of Gaza. Participants chanted slogans rejecting the blockade and forced displacement, affirming that the educational front will continue to stand firmly in support of the Palestinian people and resistance fighters until victory is achieved. They described the ongoing siege and starvation of Gaza's population as a full-fledged war crime, holding the Zionist entity and the U.S. administration fully responsible. Statements issued at the rallies stressed that the educational and student community will remain at the forefront of those standing with Palestine, considering this stance a principled position that cannot be compromised. The statements also called for marking the Prophet's birth anniversary by decorating schools, organizing celebratory activities, and ensuring wide participation in the central event at the Messenger al-A'zam Square in the governorate center on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.

Women's Committee in Hajjah Governorate Holds Solidarity vigils for Palestinian People

Hajjah - Saba: The Women's Cultural Committee in Hajjah Governorate organized solidarity vigils in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza. The participants, gathered in Khiran Al-Muhraq, Bani Ka'b in Kuhlan Ash-Sharaf, Al-Akma in Al-Miftah, and Bani Fadhail in Ku'aydina, chanted slogans of loyalty to the path of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Ahl al-Bayt (his family), and the banners of guidance, while denouncing the enemies of Islam, traitors, and collaborators. They condemned the horrific massacres committed by the Zionist enemy against their brethren in Gaza, as well as the silence of the international community and the inaction of Arab and Islamic nations in the face of Zionist crimes. A statement issued during the vigils held the international community, the United Nations, and complicit Arab and Islamic regimes responsible for enabling the Zionists to escalate their brutal massacres in Gaza. It reaffirmed the steadfast moral, humanitarian, and principled stance in unwavering solidarity with Gaza, Palestine, and the holy sites. The statement also emphasized standing with the resistance, which offers the greatest sacrifices in defense of the entire nation against the most heinous crimes committed by the Zionist enemy and its American partner—crimes targeting the people of Gaza and threatening the entire Ummah.

Hamas: Israeli Army's Plan to Occupy Gaza Signals a New Wave of Genocide

Doha – Saba: The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) warned that the Israeli army chief of staff's reported approval on Sunday of plans to occupy Gaza City and accelerate military operations there amounts to a declaration of a new wave of genocide and forced displacement against hundreds of thousands of residents and displaced persons in the city. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Hamas said: 'This criminal declaration to commit a major war crime in Gaza City epitomizes Zionist arrogance, contempt for international law, and determination to press ahead with ongoing genocide that has lasted for more than 22 months, under U.S. complicity and amid shameful global silence and inaction.' The movement stressed that so-called 'humanitarian arrangements,' including the talk of bringing tents into southern Gaza, are a blatant attempt to cover up Israel's preparations for a massacre. Hamas pointed out that the United Nations has already rejected such measures as failing to meet even the minimum humanitarian standards, describing them as the weaponization of human suffering for political and military purposes. The statement added that the situation in Gaza is part of a broader picture that includes daily raids, armed settler assaults, and property burnings in the West Bank—evidence of a unified Zionist project aimed at expelling Palestinians, seizing their rights, and advancing the Judaization of Islamic and Christian holy sites. Hamas further asserted that Prime Minister Netanyahu's government's efforts to uproot Palestinians are tied to its broader goal of establishing a so-called 'Greater Israel' at the expense of Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and beyond. The movement underscored that this 'dangerous scheme' requires immediate and steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their resistance, which it described as the 'first line of defense' for Arab and Muslim nations against Zionist ambitions. Hamas concluded by calling this a critical moment that demands a unified national strategy of comprehensive resistance, while urging Arab and Muslim countries to take clear steps to confront Israel's expansionist agenda that threatens the peoples and states of the entire region.
