One thing is clear if Isak stays, there is no easy way back for him to the Magpies. Ultimately, he will leave the club. Whether it's before September 1st, January or next summer.
This is a player who doesn't see his long-term future in Tyneside and who has every right to be extremely upset with the club at the way they have handled things this summer.
Isak may go on to play more games for Newcastle. But let's make no mistakes about it, this will not be a fully committed Isak. It's not going to be the same player that Newcastle will have on their hands as the one from before.

For Newcastle the situation is even worse. In Isak's statement released on Instagram, he made it clear that he felt the club had made broken promises to him.
This according to him means that the relationship cannot continue. He clearly feels betrayed and lied to.
One of those promises made by Newcastle was the fact that he could leave the club. Now the Daily Mail has reported that this was not the only promise broken by the Magpies.
According to them, a well placed source not connected to either club has claimed that Isak's fury also comes from the fact that he believed Newcastle had agreed that they would sell him if a bid in excess of £100m was made for his services.
Liverpool did exactly that with their £110m offer, which was promptly rejected. Now if this report is true you can understand Isak's frustration.
Newcastle were clearly ready to let him go according to his understand. But they've gone back on this promise. They've outright rejected a bid they supposedly said they would agree to.
With the relationship at such a boiling point, it's hard to foresee just how this situation is moved on from here. Right now it's impossible to predict.
It's hard to see a way back for Isak. It's hard to see Liverpool give up on their pursuit of the Swede international.
So even if the saga ends with Newcastle staying firm in their stance by the end of the window, it won't entirely be over. The discussions will return in January.

Pizza company charged with food hygiene offences as director appears in court
The director of a pizza company issued with charges for 15 food hygiene offences appeared in court today. He appeared alongside the firm's former director who has also been charged with 15 offences under food hygiene regulations. Pizza Plus Shake on 90 Seaview Road in Liscard, Wallasey, has been taken to court by Wirral Council and charged with a number of offences under food hygiene rules. 15 charges have been brought against Pizza Plus Shake Ltd as well as a further 15 against Muhammad Tayyab Ramy, who was a director of the company until May 1 this year. Umair Ajmal, the company's current director from May 1, appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court on August 21. The company has been charged with six offences under food hygiene regulations on December 14, 2023. These related to an alleged failure to keep and maintain the premises in good repair and condition, permit good food hygiene practices including protection from contamination and pest control. Other charges related to ensuring food was protected against contamination likely to render the food unfit for consumption, have procedures in place to control pests, and ensure staff were supervised and trained. A further six charges were brought against the company on April 23, 2024, again under food hygiene safety rules, and another three were brought on July 18, 2024. These final three charges related to the alleged condition of the premises, procedures that had been put in place, and staff training. Mr Ramy of Seaview Road, Wallasey, has also been charged 15 times across the same dates and these relate to his role as director of the company at the time of the offences. He previously appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court on June 26. No pleas were entered on August 21. The case was adjourned to October 27. Inter Milan Not Finished With €25M Andy Diouf Signing – Still Set To Sign A Defender
Inter Milan are not finished making signings after agreeing a deal for Lens midfielder Andy Diouf, and will still sign a defender. This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri could invest €20-25 million in a player to reinforce their backline. Inter Milan are reportedly on the verge of signing midfielder Andy Diouf from Lens. The 22-year-old will sign on a five-year deal. Inter will reportedly pay Lens a fee of around €20 million plus €5 million in add-ons. Therefore, inter have found their big midfielder reinforcement for the summer, having already also signed Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb. As such, Sky report, Inter still have enough cash to make one more notable signing before the transfer window slams shut.
