Tribes sue U.S. government over deaths, abuse at boarding schools
Two Native American tribes filed a class-action lawsuit on Thursday against the U.S. government for its role in running a system of boarding schools for more than a century that separated Native children from their families in an attempt to eradicate their language and culture and force them to assimilate into White society.

International nuclear, mining bills clear hurdle
A Senate panel advanced legislation Thursday that would support new international collaborations on nuclear energy and critical minerals. The pair of bipartisan bills passed out of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee by voice vote. S.1801, the 'International Nuclear Energy Act,' would create an office focused on nuclear energy trade and new collaborations with other nations on nuclear energy development and licensing.
