I got a FREE 5-star stay at the Hilton Hotel - but what the company did next baffled me

Daily Mail4 days ago
A man received a free five-star stay at the Hilton Hotel but was left shocked by what happened next.
Luke Colson, known as @luke.is.alive_, shared his experience on TikTok, and opened the video with a short clip of a man promoting Hilton Hotels, before switching back to himself.
The content creator went on to explain that the hotel company had recreated a video he had made about a nightmare stay in San Francisco.
'Hilton saw it and they DM me on TikTok, they said 'Mr Colson, we loved your story about your terrible stay at the hotel in San Francisco.
'We'd like to recreate it, showing people that at Hilton, you can enjoy the stay a lot more.
'And we will reward you with a free stay at a Hilton hotel anywhere in the world.' And I thought, 'That's a scam,' turns out it was real.'
Luke explained how he called up Hilton and spoke to a production company who recreated his video and tale.
'So if you look at my TikTok video about my stay in the hotel in San Francisco, it's kind of like the recreation that they just did, but they cast me as that guy.'
Luke took Hilton up on their offer and booked a break away with his girlfriend.
However, what happened during the trip left him baffled.
The couple paid for the travel to Mexico City and stayed at a hotel there.
'We went to Mexico City because it was cheaper to get there and we stayed in one of their five star hotels,' Luke said.
But things took a turn during the trip and Luke claims the experience was similar to his San Francisco stay.
'Now, after I got back, I did a TikTok about the stay at the Hilton Hotel and it was equally as bad as the hotel stay that we had in San Francisco.'
He exclaimed: 'The irony, the irony of it all!'
Luke's video attracted thousands of views and 100 comments, with many seeing the funny side of his experience.
'Could only happen to you Luke lol,' someone laughed.
Another added: 'These stories are more exciting than any book I've read, the twists and turns are endless. You, Sir, make my day.'
'The story of your life and your everyday existence is all the entertainment I need,' one viewer penned.
