Don Millar's ‘Loot: A Story of Crime and Redemption' Acquired by Jambika Docs (EXCLUSIVE)
Jambika Docs has acquired sales rights to Don Millar's 'Loot: A Story of Crime and Redemption,' an investigative documentary uncovering the illicit trade in Cambodian antiquities and the global art institutions complicit in it.
The film had its world premiere at FIFA in Montreal, followed by official selections in Doc Edge New Zealand, CIFF Cambodia and Balinale Indonesia. Jambika Docs will be pitching the film at Sheffield DocFest, Sunnyside of the Doc and Docs Ireland, among other events.

'Loot' is an exposé featuring key players in the illicit antiquities trade in Cambodia — from 'Blue Tiger,' a former child soldier turned artifact repatriation advocate, to U.S. Homeland Security agents who led 'Operation Indochina Peninsula Plunder,' which ultimately shut down the operations of British antiquities dealer Douglas Latchford.
The film travels from landmine-laced temple ruins in Cambodia to the polished halls of elite museums in London and New York, capturing the staggering contrast between impoverished looters and the wealthy individuals profiting from their activities.
As looted Khmer artifacts begin to be returned — some as recently as July 2024 from the Met Museum — 'Loot' documents a redemptive arc of a country reclaiming its cultural identity.
'We acquired 'Loot' because it merges investigative rigor with emotional depth — shedding light on a hidden side of the art world that few dare to expose. For us, it's a powerful story of justice, identity, and global accountability that deserves a wide audience,' Juan Solera, co-founder of Jambika Docs, said.
The film is produced by New Theory Pictures in Canada.

Scott Wolf and wife Kelley are getting divorced after 3 children and 2 decades of marriage
Actor Scott Wolf and his wife Kelley are getting a divorce. The 'Party of Five' veteran, who currently stars as Dr. Richard Miller on the Fox medical drama 'Doc,' confirmed the split Wednesday, telling The Times in a statement, 'After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life, and filed for divorce from my wife Kelley.' Kelley Wolf posted the news of the split on Tuesday on social media. 'This has been a long, quiet journey for me — rooted in hope, patience, and care for our children,' she wrote. 'While I will not speak publicly about the details, I feel peace knowing that I've done everything I can to walk this path with integrity and compassion.' She called Scott Wolf 'one of the best fathers I've ever known and one of the best partners a woman could have the privilege of sharing life with. He is kind, thoughtful, funny, and beautiful in spirit.' Both of them noted that they were focused on their kids, with Scott, 57, saying they were 'the loves of our lives' and Kelley, 48, calling them 'the most extraordinary children.' They share sons Jackson, 16, and Miller, 12, and daughter Lucy, 11. The actor met the veteran of MTV's 'The Real World: New Orleans' through mutual friends in 2002 on a blind date that almost didn't happen. 'We were meeting at a restaurant and she wound up turning up almost a full hour late,' the actor said in 2021 on 'Access Hollywood.' 'I was asking other people at the bar. I was like, 'How long do you wait for a blind date?' And they were like, 'Kind of an hour tops.' So she made it under the wire.' Turns out she was stuck in 'horrible' New York traffic, he said. They married in 2004 in her hometown of Fayetteville, Ark., and honeymooned in Africa.

Fremantle Talks ‘Baywatch' Reboot At Fox As FAST Channel & Remastered Version Revive Interest In The Classic Series
Red swimsuits at the ready – the Baywatch reboot is edging closer. 'We're in advanced talks with Fox in the U.S. about the Baywatch reboot,' said Bob McCourt from Fremantle, which distributes the classic lifeguard drama. Fox and Fremantle have been working on the reboot for some time. The project officially landed at Fox last spring. It has been heating up for a series order, with the network bringing one of the top showrunners on its talent roster, Burn Notice creator Matt Nix, on board to do rewrites a couple of months ago. More from Deadline Amazon MGM Talks $1B Slate And Says "We Are Heavily Invested In Theatrical" & "We're Not Holding Any Content Back" 'Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service' Heats Up Fox's Summer Slate With Another Unscripted Hit, Growing Audience 27% Since Debut & Continuing Network's No. 1 Momentum With 18-49 Demo Felicity Huffman Joins Fox's 'Doc' For Season 2 McCourt didn't share more on the new take on the show. He did break down how there is wind in the sails of the original Baywatch after Fremantle sunk a boatload of cash into clearing and replacing the original music, and remastering and relaunching the series. It has also launched a dedicated Baywatch FAST channel, which McCourt said is Fremantle's second most successful FAST offering. At a risk-averse time in traditional TV, evergreen shows like Baywatch assume huge value for distributors like Fremantle. They offer a safe-ish bet for buyers looking to populate digital channels, with in the case of Baywatch, hundreds of eps available featuring recognizable talent. McCourt was speaking at the NEM event in Dubrovnik, Croatia. 'Back in the day Baywatch was the most watched show on the planet,' he said. 'In the 1990s it sold to every territory in the world, but when it was canceled it didn't sell much for 20 years.' The issue was clearances and getting the series ready for an HD world, he explained. 'Basically, it hadn't been cleared for streaming. The music hadn't been cleared and it was also in standard definition. We made the decision to remaster all episodes into high definition and then clear [or replace] the music… with a big upfront investment. 'It was a big risk that actually paid off 10 times over. Baywatch has sold to every territory and around the world, including to Amazon, Hulu, RTL in Germany, and France TV in France.' The series had about 400 songs across its 250 hours, which have mostly been replaced. The Beach Boys and the iconic theme tune were, however, deemed irreplaceable. 'As technology has evolved, obviously replacing the music is much easier and quicker, and of course, you then own that music,' McCourt said. 'We obviously maintain the theme tune and there is a classic episode with The Beach Boys singing 'California Girls' and we had we had to keep that in, there's no way they were going to take that out.'
