Laura Henshaw has opened up about the moment she found out she was pregnant.
The Kic CEO, who has been transparent online about her past indecision regarding having kids, revealed that it was a 'complete shock' to discover she was expecting.
The podcast host, 32, told this week's Stellar Magazine, that she was so caught out of the blue that she had a laparoscopy booked in May in order to check for endometriosis.
'I was going to do the London Marathon, have the laparoscopy, and after that start thinking about kids,' she told the publication.
And then Laura revealed she missed her period.

Laura did a pregnancy test the next day, with her husband Dalton having an inkling that she had a bun in the oven.
'I was like, "We can't be. We had had sex once the month before – like, a morning quickie",' she laughed.
'[Then], you know, turn the test around and… we are pregnant.'
Laura went on to say that she'd watched many Instagram video of her friends announcing they were pregnant, which showed them crying, laughing and emotions.
But her reaction wasn't like that.
Laura confessed it wasn't because she wasn't grateful or excited but she was just in 'complete shock'.
Last year, Laura admitted she wasn't sure she wanted children.
'I thought when I hit 31 I would feel ready, but over the past few years, the older I have gotten — the less ready I feel,' she told Mamamia at the time.
Laura added that time played a major role in making the decision and the moment she turned 30 she felt it was quickly 'running out'.
She also opened up about struggling with whether or not she wanted to have children in her podcast series Do I Want Kids? in 2024 and admitted her indecision was difficult.
'I felt ashamed about it,' she told ELLE magazine.
'We live in this prenatal society, which basically means that in the society we live in, there is the assumption that we will have children.
'I blinked and all my friends went from talking about contraception to being pregnant or having kids. And I started to feel like, what is wrong with me?'
On Thursday, Laura revealed that she was pregnant and shared a sweet Instagram post which showed her getting an ultrasound.
Laura beamed for the camera in the black and white clip, while an image on screen showed her growing baby.
The podcaster captioned her video, which was inundated with congratulations from friends and fans, with a simple love heart emoji.

Where is Dido now? How iconic Noughties singer, 53, who raked in £1M a MONTH vanished from the spotlight amid family tragedy and swapped fame for a 'very ordinary life'

Dido found fame in 1999 with her debut album No Angel, which featured hit song Thank you, and along with follow Life For Rent remains among the best-selling albums in UK chart history. The songstress, now 53, was then catapulted to superstardom when she duetted with Eminem on his iconic track Stan, won numerous awards, sold a whopping 40M records and briefly became the world's biggest female pop star, raking in a whopping £1M every month. But Dido, whose real name is Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O'Malley Armstrong, suddenly at the height of her fame vanished from the spotlight, revealing years later her shock decision to embrace a 'very ordinary life' was in fact due to a family tragedy. The singer, who this year released a special anniversary vinyl edition of her debut No Angel, told MailOnline in 2019: 'I needed to come home, my father was ill and there were more important issues going on than my career.' Dido's father, publisher William O'Malley Armstrong - who has not been pictured - was a colourful character on the literary scene, had developed lupus, a degenerative auto-immune disease. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I wanted to be home where I could go and see my dad every day. That was more important than anything. When you have lupus you know you are going to die, so we all had time to be with him, to say everything we wanted, but death still comes as a shock.' Dido revealed was singing one of his favourite Irish songs, Raglan Road, to her beloved father when he passed away in 2006 aged 69, just three days before her 34th birthday. After her father's death, she flew to Los Angeles: 'I went for a few weeks to give myself space to think about my dad and that turned into two years'. Admitting the only music she could write in that time were songs about her father: 'They were so personal. I performed them only once in Los Angeles and it was too hard.' Her next album 2008's Safe Trip Home was largely overlooked and failed to make an impact in the charts, but while in LA she met and later married children's author Rohan Gavin and in 2011 gave birth to their son Stanley. Dido made her comeback in 2019 with album Still on My Mind before going on to work with the likes of newer pop stars Grimes, said despite her quieter public image has continued making music. She told The Telegraph: 'I have been having a lovely time, being with my family, seeing friends, seeing the world, But the music never stopped. 'I am always singing, always writing songs. Music is how I make sense of the world. I just stopped playing it to anyone but my family'. She told MailOnline in 2019: 'I needed to come home, my father was ill and there were more important issues going on than my career' (pictured 2001) Dido revealed she was singing one of her father's favourite Irish songs to him when he passed away in 2006 aged 69, just three days before her 34th birthday (Pictured 2003) Later admitting that she had struggled to write quality songs after becoming a mother, telling Graham Norton on his BBC 2 Radio show in 2019: 'After I had my son I definitely have a couple of years where most of what I wrote wasn't very good'. 'I actually knew it at the time, when I write songs there's always a bit conflicted, but then when I had a kid I thought ''I'm quite happy'. In her 20 years of showbusiness Dido scooped four BRIT Awards and been nominated for two Grammy's, and was even nominated for an Academy Award in 2011 for the song If I Rise, which featured in the film 127 Hours. But she now lives a much quieter life and said she can travel around London on public transport without being recognised. 'I have no problem living a very ordinary life, Very occasionally someone will come up to me and say: 'You look a bit like that singer called…' She continued: 'And most times they don't even remember the name, so I smile and get on with what I'm doing.' She now lives a much quieter life and said she can travel around London on public transport without being recognised (pictured on stage in 2019) But now at the age of 53 said she refuses to bow down to record companies and will only tour and release music on her terms. 'I couldn't do anything if I was pressurised. That has never worked for me,'. The singer, who is no reportedly worth £10M, spoke candidly about her wealth but said she doesn't buy 'big things' like flashy sports cars, saying instead that money has bought her freedom. 'The benefits of having money are being able just to get up and go to the Grand Canyon because you all really want to see it. And then to be able to talk to your son and your husband about it for years afterwards.' WHAT IS LUPUS? What is lupus? It is one of the chronic autoimmune conditions, where the body makes antibodies against itself and starts to attack it. Lupus – Systemic Lupus Erythematotsus (SLE) – has a range of severity. Some sufferers will have only mild problems, others have life-threatening organ damage to the heart and the kidneys. What are the symptoms? Tiredness, joint pains and muscle aches. A common first symptom is joint stiffness, particularly in the mornings. Skin and hair problems are a major feature of SLE – a rash in the shape of a butterfly over the cheeks and nose is common, as is hair loss and sensitivity to the sun. Other problems include depression and lung and heart disease, as well as kidney inflammation. What can it be mistaken for? It is often mistaken for other joint problems such as rheumatoid arthritis which is also characterised by morning joint stiffness. It can also be misdiagnosed as a skin or blood disease. How is it diagnosed? If your GP suspects SLE they will request a blood test. The specific antibodies that attack the body can be measured in the blood. The diagnosis is made when there is the combination of typical symptoms and high antibodies. Who is at risk? SLE is ten times more common in women than men and usually develops between the ages 12 and 25. What is the treatment?

Katy Perry surprises fans with free drinks at a Melbourne nightclub

Katy Perry thanked her fans by buying them all drinks in a bar in Melbourne, Australia. The singer made an appearance at LGBTQIA+ nightspot Poof Doof in the early hours of Sunday morning as she continues her The Lifetimes Tour Down Under. She told the crowd: 'You guys raised me. I thank you and I love you. You are my chosen family. And because you are my chosen family, a mother must provide for her children.' Katy then announced that she would be shouting everyone drinks for one hour. 'So, as your mother, I would like to open the bar for one hour. The drinks are on me, baby. I love you so much. The bar is open.' The pop star had just finished her fourth show at Rod Laver Arena, bringing her sold-out Melbourne leg to a close, when she showed up at the Chapel Street club to share her appreciation for her LGBTQIA+ fans. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Martha Tsamis (@marthatsamis) The sweet gesture comes amid rumors of 'tension' between Katy and her fiance Orlando Bloom. The couple have been at the center of rife speculation during Katy's tour of Australia, and the pop star fueled rumors with a comment onstage. The singer was performing the third of her Sydney concerts when she was handed a packet of Tim Tam chocolate biscuits. During the middle of her performance of her 2008 heartbreak anthem I'm Still Breathing she opened the packet and ate one of the treats. 'This song is about a breakup, and this Tim Tam saved me,' she told the crowd during the brief interlude. 'Thank you,' she added, before launching back into the track while kneeling down and offering the biscuits to audience members in the front row. The comment about suffering through a 'breakup' comes after Katy was spotted looking downcast in Sydney. The singer was spotted looking less-than-enthused as she stepped out at Luna Park with her and Orlando's daughter Daisy, four. On the same day, Orlando seemed to be having a blast at the Tribeca Festival in New York City. The couple's sightings on different continents come amid a new report alleging that Katy's poorly performing album caused 'tension' in her relationship.

Next Top Model host Erika Heynatz reveals why she'll never watch reality TV again as she shares harsh truths about the show that made her famous

Erika Heynatz has launched a scathing critique of reality TV and the beauty industry, admitting she no longer watches the genre that once helped shape her public profile. The former Australia's Next Top Model host, 49, opened up in a candid interview with Stellar magazine, revealing she has turned her back on reality TV since her early stint fronting the series nearly two decades ago. 'I hosted reality television and then I was a participant in it, but I've never watched it again,' she told the publication. 'I don't have much of a stomach for the redemption stories - it's not for me.' Heynatz, who began modelling while studying graphic design at university, said she now feels disconnected from the world of glossy makeovers and dramatic on-screen arcs. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'There are so many more interesting, creative, charismatic, inspiring people we could be watching on our screens,' she added. Heynatz hosted the first season of Australia's Next Top Model in 2005. She returned to host the second season in 2006 before being replaced by Jodhi Meares from season three onwards. These days, Heynatz has channelled her energy into Stupormodel - her bold new stage production drawing from her own life in the fashion industry. The self-written show sold out its initial two performances and has since added a third due to demand. 'The show is through the lens of my life as a model, but these are universal themes that really strike a chord,' she explained. At the heart of the production is a reckoning with the beauty myths Heynatz admits she helped perpetuate during her modelling and television career. 'Hopefully it brings awareness, because for a lot of women there's this feeling of being complicit in their own oppression when it comes to standards of beauty. Like me,' she said. 'I've been selling that dream, but at the same time, I've also bought snake oil' Erika continued. 'I'm the person who's been transmitting those images and transmitting those standards, but I also cannot escape them.' Heynatz, who also appeared on It Takes Two and competed on Dancing with the Stars. She has since reinvented herself over the years with a string of acting roles in Home and Away, Legally Blonde: The Musical, and other stage productions. Erika previously admitted that there's 'no secret' to juggling her career in the entertainment industry being a mother. Speaking to Daily Mail Australia Erika said: 'It takes a village, it always does. 'We're really lucky we've got family close by and also we take turns, when we want to go out do things, we just swap it over. Fair's fair.' The beauty shares son Charlie with husband Andrew Kingston. Andrew and Erika married in 2007, and in March celebrated an incredible 18 years together.
