Patrick Mahomes reveals what he admires the most about wife Brittany
Patrick Mahomes has gushed over his wife, Brittany, as he revealed how she inspires his confident displays on the football field. The Kansas City Chiefs' star man has led the team to three Super Bowl victories in the past five years thanks to his cool, calm and collected demeanor under center. But Chiefs Kingdom may secretly have Brittany to thank for the franchise's recent success as the quarterback revealed he truly gets his drive from her. 'I admire my wife Brittany's confidence,' he told People. 'Whether it's in business, or supporting our family, she always leads with strength and purpose. That kind of confidence is powerful; it pushes me to be better every day.' 'Confidence isn't something that you just wake up with one day,' he added. 'It's about staying committed to your goals, trusting yourself and the people around you and putting your best foot forward with every opportunity you get.' Mahomes and the former college soccer player are childhood sweethearts, beginning to date in 2012 as teenagers. The couple, who stayed strong throughout college despite attending different schools, tied the knot in 2022 in a lavish Hawaiian wedding. They share three children together, Sterling, 4, Bronze, 2, and Golden Raye, who they welcomed in January - just one month before the Super Bowl. And Mahomes admitted that he feels his most confident off the field when he's surrounded by his nearest and dearest. 'Off the field, I'm probably most confident when I'm with my family and close friends. Being around the people who've supported me from the beginning and know me so well—that's when I'm at my best,' the two-time NFL MVP admitted. The signal caller has spent his offseason soaking up quality time with his family as he attempts to rebound from a devastating loss against the Philadelphia Eagles in February. The Chiefs suffered humiliation in New Orleans when they were thrashed 40-22 by Jalen Hurts and co. and had their three-peat dreams crushed. Yet, Mahomes has seemingly brushed off the heartbreak as he has been spotted at multiple events in the months since, including the Women's College World Series where he cheered on Texas Tech - his alma mater - alongside Brittany. Meanwhile, he was also seen alongside favorite target and close friend Travis Kelce when the pair wowed the crowd at the Big Slick, an annual charity event that raises money for Children's Mercy, a local pediatric hospital last month.

Spurs in talks over second Brentford arrival with Frank targeting Bryan Mbeumo
Tottenham are closing in on the appointment of Thomas Frank but are set to raid the Dane's former club Brentford for both his backroom staff and some players this summer Tottenham are in talks to bring in Thomas Frank's assistant Justin Cochrane as part of a mega raid on Brentford. The North London side are closing in on the Dane's appointment as their new head coach. He will move to Tottenham as part of a £10million deal that will see him replace Ange Postecoglou after his sacking last week. But Spurs aren't quite finished there, with Frank keen to bring colleagues and players in from his former club. According to Sky Sports, talks are ongoing regarding Frank's backroom staff which includes assistant coach Cochrane. It was previously thought that Cochrane would be in contention to potentially replace Frank at Brentford but that now appears unlikely. Ironically, Cochrane started his coaching career with Tottenham and then moved through the age groups with the FA. Speaking about that move, he said: 'I was ready for that next challenge. It was difficult leaving Tottenham because I enjoyed it, it was very close to home, and it was a good place to work. "But the opportunity to work for England with some of the best young talents, and with some of the coaches at the time, who were fantastic... I felt it was an opportunity for me to learn again, experience some new things, and it really helped me develop as a coach and a person.' Cochrane has also held roles with AFC Wimbledon and Manchester United. The former defender arrived at Brentford in June 2022, while he was also confirmed as a member of Thomas Tuchel's England coaching staff earlier this year. Speaking about his time with Brentford, he added: "I had the ppportunity to work with Thomas, the opportunity to work in the Premier League with a progressive club, and I just wanted to learn again. It's another new challenge. saw it as more learning, working with good people, working in a good environment. 'I spent time working with the AFC Wimbledon first team in League One, but I wanted to test myself in the Premier League. There were some manager offers from League One clubs and some assistant coach roles at other Premier League clubs. Will Thomas Frank be a good appointment for Spurs? Share your thoughts in the comments below "But, in the end, it was an easy decision. It wasn't easy to leave Manchester United, but I wanted to go from working with youth players to working with the first team. I did 14 years with youth players at a good level, so to go to Brentford in a first-team environment, I felt like that was the next step for me as a coach. 'Once I had my mind set on Brentford, I'd met Thomas a few times and I'd met Phil, I just felt like it was the right fit; there were some good people to continue learning from, and it's been brilliant so far.' Cochrane and Frank could potentially be joined at Tottenham by forward Bryan Mbeumo. The Cameroon international is in the middle of a transfer tug of war between Manchester United and the North London side. However, Frank isn't expected to have the only say on recruitment when he arrives at his new club. Technical Director Johan Lange - who has helped spearhead the approach for Frank - and former director Fabio Paratici are the two anticipated to be leading Spurs in the summer window.

Next Brentford manager odds make little-known candidate favourite
The favourite to be Brentford's next manager would not only be taking his first role in charge of a Premier League club, but in charge of any club at all. Thomas Frank is the hot favourite to become the next Tottenham boss after the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou. The Dane has been in charge of the Bees since 2018 and done a fantastic job, leading them up from the Championship and establishing them as a consistent force in the Premier League. He now looks set to move on, with Spurs making him their number one target and Frank recognising the opportunity to take charge of the Europa League winners who will return to the Champions League next season. A deal is far from done, but if Frank does indeed move across London to take charge of Spurs, he will need to be replaced. The favourite with the bookmakers to be the next Bees boss is a well established coach, but will be a new name to many Premier League fans. Justin Cochrane has been on the coaching staff with the Brentford first team since July 2022 and took up a second role with the England senior team in February this year. On that appointment in February, he said: 'It's an honour to be asked to work for the senior men's national team,' said Cochrane. 'This is a really exciting opportunity for me and I'm extremely grateful to Brentford for allowing me to take on this role.' Cochrane had a 13-year playing career in the lower leagues but has stepped up a level after moving into coaching. He worked in the Tottenham academy, coached England up to Under-17 level, then became head of player development and coaching at Manchester United in 2021. Now after his time as Frank's assistant and working with Thomas Tuchel, he is being tipped to take over the top job at Brentford. Justin Cochrane 4/7 Kieran McKenna 7/2 Kjetil Knutsen 8/1 Danny Rohl 8/1 Michael Carrick 12/1 Edin Terzic 16/1 Steven Gerrard 16/1 Sean Dyche 16/1 Steve Copper 16/1 Gary O'Neil 16/1 Marco Rose 16/1 Odds courtesy of BetVictor BetVictor make Cochrane the runaway favourite, with other candidates lagging a long way behind in the betting. Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna is second-favourite, with Bodo/Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen next in line. Other managers considered potential contenders include Danny Rohl and Michael Carrick, while the likes of Steve Cooper, Edin Terzic and Marco Rose are outsiders. Negotiations are ongoing between Spurs and Brentford over a deal for Frank. The BBC report that a compensation package could exceed £10m and will rise further if Frank wants to take members of his staff with him. A deal looks likely to be struck, though, with reports even suggesting that Frank is already trying to influence transfer policy at Tottenham. With Bryan Mbeumo a target for Manchester United this summer, Frank has reportedly told Spurs to do their best to beat the Red Devils to sign the Brentford forward.
