Danny Muscovski scores in each half, teen Snyder Brunell scores in debut as Sounders rout Galaxy 4-0

The Sounders took a 2-0 lead in the 37th minute on Muscovski's unassisted goal. He made it 3-0 in the 54th minute with another unassisted goal. Muscovski has already scored a career-high eight times this season. He had five netters with Los Angeles FC as a rookie in 2020 and five for Real Salt Lake in 2023.
Brunell subbed in for Jesús Ferreira in the 73rd minute and scored in the 85th. Defender Álex Roldán notched his third assist of the season and the fourth of his career. Rookie Kalani Kossa-Rienzi collected his third assist.
Andrew Thomas finished with three saves for his first clean sheet in his seventh start of the season for Seattle. He had two shutouts in five starts last season.
Novak Micovic saved five shots for Los Angeles. He had three saves and Thomas wasn't tested in the first half.
Seattle is unbeaten in its last seven league matches at 4-0-3 and is on a 10-match unbeaten streak across all competitions after winning all three matches in Phase One of the Leagues Cup to advance.
The last time the two clubs squared off was in last season's Western Conference championship match — a 1-0 victory at home for the Galaxy on a goal in the 85th minute by Dejan Joveljić, who now plays for Sporting Kansas City.
Seattle leads the all-time series 15-11-14 in league play and 21-18-14 across all competitions.
The Sounders travel to play Minnesota United on Saturday. The Galaxy head to Florida to play Inter Miami on Saturday.

Steelers CB Darius Slay injured at training camp practice
On Monday, Pittsburgh Steelers starting cornerback Jalen Ramsey missed team drills at training camp practice. Ramsey has been out the past week. There's been no word yet from head coach Mike Tomlin about which starters will play in this important midway game. Motherwell's Rangers goal hero wants to repay boss' faith and fire them up table
Emmanuel Longelo wants to repay the faith shown in him by boss Jens Berthel Askou, and fire Motherwell up the Scottish Premiership. The former West Ham and Birmingham left-back says talking to Askou left him in no doubt Fir Park was where he wants to play his football over the next two years. Longelo, 24, has already hit the heights with two strikes this season, including the leveller in Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Rangers. Speaking ahead of Saturday's trip to face St Mirren, the Londoner said: "It was an amazing feeling to score and take a point against Rangers. 'The team has welcomed me very nicely, the gaffer has made me feel welcome from the moment I spoke to him. 'He told me to be myself, gives me that freedom to express myself on the pitch and play with a smile, and he has made it easy for me. 'That's what I want to hear, because I feel that I have attributes that can help the team progress and go forward, and I like to show him what I'm good at. 'I knew this was an environment I wanted to be in, so it was really easy for me to kick on. 'This move has given me a new lease of life. When I spoke to the manager he said everything I wanted to hear, and made it a place I want to come play and excel. 'I feel like this is the correct way to play football, so we're just buying into what the manager wants to do, and so far it's going well.' Longelo won't set scoring targets, but definitely has his aspirations for the season. He said: 'I feel like if we had got the winner against Rangers it would have been the cherry on top. It was a good start, though. You want to help the team as best you can, so to get the goals is a bonus. 'That's just the start for myself and the team, and we need to replicate that type of performance and application, going into every game. 'It's very important, because we're on a mission, we want to finish high in the league and do better than we did last season. 'It's important to keep the same mentality. 'A lot of teams concede late goals due to lack of concentration, so as long as we keep our concentration up we'll be alright.' Longelo says drawing against Rangers, with the performance Motherwell put in, has given them courage for what they're trying to achieve. He said: 'It gives us real belief. I feel like we have that against any team we're playing against, but against Rangers we showed that we can play like that against anyone, it doesn't matter who it's against. 'We're not afraid to play the way the manager wants us to play. 'We need to keep at it every day in training, pay attention to detail to help us to progress, and you need to be brave, it's part of the game. You have to be brave in everything you do.'

Hamilton Accies made it back-to-back wins in League One as they eased past Queen of the South in Dumfries. And boss John Rankin felt his side should have delivered a more handsome victory against a side he sees as favourites for the League One title. The visitors defeated the Doonhamers 4-1 on their home patch, with a Connor Smith double, plus a sensational strike from trialist Charlie Telfer and a Steven Bradley effort doing the damage. He told the club media: "I'm delighted. I said before the game that Queen of the South are favourites for the league and coming here to a difficult ground - they've got a great record here, especially last season - we wanted to put a marker down and set the tone. "And I thought we matched the physicality of them at the start of the game and we grew it into it. "Smudger [Connor Smith] scores a great goal to start it off, then after that I felt we had another two or three chances that we didn't capitalise on. The goalkeeper, to be fair to him, makes some really good saves and, at that point, you are thinking it is going to be one of those days. "But just before half-time, we got the second goal. It is a great goal, a great bit of play and sets us up at half-time. "As much as the first half was good for us, I felt there were more goals in it for us but we just weren't ruthless enough. That is the disappointing part. "But I've got to give the players credit. They rode the storm, they remained calm, they did the things that we were asking them to do, and it came to fruition in the second half. "We played some really good football and the goal from Steveie Bradley is great. I'd have taken a 4-1 before the game but the disappointing part is that we've given away a goal. We need to start the second half better than we did. "There was a calmness and maturity after conceding the goal. They never felt flustered or anxious and that is the pleasing part." Accies broke the deadlock in 28 minutes when Smith fired a sensational strike into the back of the net from fully 35 yards and just 10 minutes later Telfer said 'anything you can do, I can do better'. Playing his second league game as a trialist, the midfielder launched an unstoppable half-volley from 35-yards to leave the hosts stunned and grab his second goal in as many games. Lyon reminded Accies they were still in a game when he pulled one back just moments into the second half, but in 53 minutes Smith slotted home his second of the day and Bradley netted the clincher in 61 minutes to send Accies up the road with all the spoils. Accies now face Motherwell B on Wednesday night in their opening game of the KDM Evolution Trophy, which is being played in a Champions League style format this season, before hosting East Fife on Saturday in the league. Rankin added: "There's boys needing minutes and we need to make sure we utilise the squad. We have small squad and we have to make sure there's no knocks. "Steven has got a tight groin - that's why he came off - so we don't want to push him too far. Barry [Maguire] is coming back in after having a tight groin. "It is a game we are looking forward to and primes us for a long season."
