Bitcoin Options Traders Eye $300,000 With Record High In Sight
Bitcoin options traders are setting their sights on much higher prices while the largest cryptocurrency flirts with its fairly recent all-time high.
The far out-of-the-money Bitcoin call options expiring on June 27 at the strike price of $300,000 has been a close second behind the $110,000 calls in terms of open interest on the crypto options exchange Deribit. The contracts expiring on June 27 have seen the most open interest, or total number of outstanding contracts, across all expirations.

David Jolly, Trump critic and Former GOP Congressman, to Run For Florida Governor as Democrat
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — A former Republican congressman and vocal critic of Donald Trump says he wants to become governor in the president's adopted home state of Florida, and that he's running as a Democrat. David Jolly formally announced his bid Thursday, becoming the latest party convert hoping to wrest back control of what had been the country's premier swing state that in recent years has made a hard shift to the right. Under state law, term-limited Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis can't run for reelection in 2026.

Profit-Taking Continues in Crypto Market as Dogecoin, Cardano's ADA Lead Majors Slide
Profit-taking continued to weigh down crypto markets Thursday as Dogecoin DOGE and Cardano's ADA ADA led declines among major tokens, with bitcoin BTC little-changed over the past 24 hours. XRP XRP, Solana's SOL SOL and BNB Chain's BNB BNB shed 1.5%, while Tron's TRX TRX was the only major token in the green with a 1.9% bump. 'Recent macro and policy conditions have created uncertainty in risk-on assets, which is reflected in the current Bitcoin price,' said Anna Liu, CEO of HashKey Tokenization, said in a Telegram message to CoinDesk. 'While we believe there will likely be volatilities in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, we remain positive on BTC as a strategic asset for investors in the longer term,' she added, noting that recent inflows into BTC and ETH ETFs show institutions are still exploring crypto allocations despite short-term headwinds. Market sentiment remains in the greed zone, with the crypto fear and greed index at 62, though it has lost a few points in the last day. Alex Kuptsikevich, chief market analyst at FxPro, said bitcoin's rebound from near $103,000 on May 31 signals the beginning of a potential upward movement. 'Potentially, this momentum could take the market to new highs above $130K,' he said. However, Ether ETH continues to battle resistance at its 200-day moving average. A break above $2,700 could serve as an important indicator of renewed optimism, Kuptsikevich added. Elsewhere, CryptoQuant suggested bitcoin could correct to $96,700, aligning with the average purchase price of short-term investors. The Hemi Is Back! Ram Adds a V8 Option for 2026
But it wasn't that easy. The first actual plan said it would take about 18 months to get a V8 back into a Ram. Not satisfied, Kuniskis put together a team led by former Ford SVT employee Darryl Smith, now the special program technical manager for the Hemi project, and they brought the timeline down to six months. The Hemi will arrive this summer on the 2026 Ram 150 0 Tradesman, Big Horn, Express, Warlock, Laramie, Limited and Longhorn, with the Rebel joining later this year. The V8 engine will be a $1,200 option over the more powerful and efficient 3.0-liter standard-output twin-turbo inline-six, itself a $1,695 jump from the 3.6-liter V6 base engine. The Limited and Longhorn models that come standard with the high-output version of the inline-six engine can swap for the Hemi at no additional charge. The only two Ram variants that won't get the V8 option are the RHO and Tungsten. The Hemi V8 will only be available with eTorque mild hybrid technology and, like before, will deliver 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. The eTorque hybrid motor-generator unit place of the alternator and works with a 48-volt battery pack to aid with startup and takeoff power. It can add up to 130 lb-ft of torque and recoups energy under braking. Ram also says the eTorque system enhances shifts, improves fuel-saving cylinder deactivation, and smooths transitions under acceleration and braking, which helps reduce noise, vibration and harshness. However, all new vehicles with Hemis also include the GT sport exhaust, so there might be a trade-off. Equipped with the Hemi V8, the 2026 Ram 1500 has a maximum towing capacity of up to 11,470 pounds and maximum payload capacity of 1,750 pounds.
