Kanpur: The students of the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur performed the rituals of Kanwar Yatra and jalabhishek of Lord Shiv after collecting the Ganga water from Sarsaiya Ghat on Sunday. The students reached Sarsaiya Ghat with kanwars and took holy dip in the Ganga on Sunday. They then collected the Gangajal and travelled on foot to Anandeshwar Temple in Parmat with kanwars for jalabhishek of Lord Shiv amid chants of 'Har Har Mahadev, Bam Bam Bhole.' The Kanwar Yatra was flagged off by mahant of Siddhanath Temple Arun Puri Maharaj. On reaching Parmat, the students joined the queue of devotees and performed jalabhishek, with all rituals and offered prayers at the temple. Around 50 students, including alumni, participated in this Kanwar Yatra.
