11 people without a home after fire in Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Before Syracuse Firefighters responded to the massive fire at the historic Maria Regina Campus they battled a blaze on Carbon Street.
Just after 6:00 p.m. on March 21, Syracuse Firefighters were called to a structure fire on the 1100 block of Carbon Street.

When firefighters arrived at the two-story wood-framed structure they found heavy smoke coming from openings in the roof.
Firefighters performed searches and stretched handlines to attack the fire, which was in the basement. Firefighters encountered heavy fire and heavy heat but put out the fire in 20 minutes.
There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
11 people who lived in the house are now without a home.
