Dolly's opening area's first location Monday in Miami Township
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Big Boy Restaurant Group is opening the Dayton area's first Dolly's Burgers and Shakes location near the Dayton Mall.
At 7 a.m. on March 24, Dolly's will hold a soft opening at 8181 N. Springboro Pike in Miami Township.
This is the building which previously housed Frisch's, which closed its doors in late 2024.
On March 24, Dolly's is expected to provide free burgers to select customers.
First 50 drive-thru customers with a free Signature Burger at 11 a.m.
Up to 150 dine-in or carryout patrons with a free Signature Burger at 2 p.m.
Guests wanting to participate in the food giveaway are able to line up starting at 1:30 p.m.
All guests will also be able to participate to try and win door prizes like tickets to the Dayton Dragons and season passes to Kings Island.
According to the company, the location will offer one free meal per day to each firefighter, first responder, paramedic and police officer who are in uniform through March 30.
BBRG CEO Tamer Afr said upon opening the new location, Dolly's patrons will notice 'familiar flavors.'
'Dolly's will serve up all of the familiar flavors its parent company is known for when the restaurant chain opens its doors and drive-through window to guests in Miamisburg,' said Afr.
The Miami Valley's next Dolly's location is planned to open in Troy at a later date.
From 7 to 11 a.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends, a breakfast bar will be available to guests. A salad and soup bar will be available each day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The CEO also addressed rumors of which sauce may be used on burgers, which some may know an alternative from other locations of BBRG.
'But rest assured — contrary to what you may have heard, we know that the white sauce is the right sauce for our Signature Burgers in southwest Ohio,' Afr said.
Through Easter, a seafood buffet will be offered on Fridays.

As of now, 'Dolly's Burgers and Shakes' is a 'working title,' as the company plans to expand across southwest Ohio. WDTN.com previously reported the new restaurant opened earlier this month in two Cincinnati suburbs.

UK vehicle production decline hits record low in April 2025: SMMT
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has revealed a 15.8% drop in UK car and commercial vehicle production in April 2025. For the month, 59,203 units were manufactured, marking the lowest April output since 1952, barring the exceptional circumstances in 2020 during the first Covid lockdown. Car production in the UK experienced an 8.6% decline, totalling 56,534 units, influenced by the later timing of Easter, model changeovers, and reduced demand from key export markets. The commercial vehicle sector registered a decline of 68.6% to 2,669 units, primarily due to a plant closure and a return to normal demand levels for new heavy goods vehicles after a period of intense post-pandemic growth. Exports of cars saw a 10.1% drop, with the EU and US markets showing declines of 19.1% and 2.7%, respectively. Despite these drops, the EU remained the largest export destination, receiving more than half of all UK car exports, while the US accounted for 16.5%. In contrast, exports to China and Turkey increased by 44% and 31.2%, the report said. Commercial vehicle exports plummeted by 75.8%, with just over half of the production being sent abroad. Despite a 78.9% reduction in shipments, the EU continued to be the primary export market, accounting for 84.9% of the total. Domestic commercial vehicle output also saw a downturn, falling by 54.6%. SMMT chief executive Mike Hawes said: 'With automotive manufacturing experiencing its toughest start to the year since 2009, urgent action is needed to boost domestic demand and our international competitiveness. 'Government has recognised automotive manufacturing's critical role in driving the UK economy, having successfully negotiated improved trading conditions for the sector with the US, EU and India in the space of a month. 'To take advantage of these trading opportunities, we must secure additional investment, which will depend on the competitiveness and confidence that can be provided by a comprehensive and innovative long-term industrial strategy. Get this right and the jobs, economic growth and decarbonisation will flow across the UK.' The industry is now awaiting the government's industrial strategy, which is expected to include measures to enhance the competitiveness of the UK's most valuable export sector, the body said. Last week, the SMMT reported a 49.8% surge in public service vehicle registrations in the UK in Q1 2025, marking the eighth consecutive quarter of growth. Goldman Sachs Reduced Bath & Body Works Inc (BBWI) Price Target
Goldman Sachs maintained its Buy recommendation on Bath & Body Works, Inc. (NYSE:BBWI) shares and reduced its price objective from $44 to $43. A female customer browsing a variety of body care products in a retail store. Bath & Body Works, Inc. (NYSE:BBWI)'s strong first-quarter results were probably overshadowed by guidance that fell short of expectations. However, the analyst informs investors in a research note that today's 6% stock price loss "seems overdone" because the firm's FY25 EPS forecast is only declining by roughly 3%. The Ohio-based business profited from U.S. sourcing, with only 10% of items coming from China and 7% from Canada and Mexico, reducing exposure to tariffs amid President Trump's continued trade uncertainty. Bath & Body Works, Inc. (NYSE:BBWI)'s CFO Eva Boratto noted the company's innovative products, such as Easter-themed candles, its robust domestic supply chain, and its ability to appeal to younger consumers through gift packaging and promotions. While we acknowledge the potential of BBWI to grow, our conviction lies in the belief that some AI stocks hold greater promise for delivering higher returns and have limited downside risk. Should You Buy, Hold, or Sell Costco Stock Post-Q3 Earnings?
Costco Wholesale Corporation COST will report its third-quarter fiscal 2025 results on Thursday after the market closes. Thus, let's analyze Costco's anticipated earnings, the factors contributing to its long-term growth, and strategies for trading the stock post-earnings release. For the fiscal third quarter, Costco's revenues and earnings are expected to improve, banking on an uptick in comparable store sales in April. Costco's core comparable sales in the United States jumped 7.1% last month and exceeded estimates despite a calendar-related issue from the shift in Easter timing. Costco's U.S. store traffic and global traffic increased by 5% and 4.2%, respectively, while the average transaction size grew 2.4% from a year ago. Moreover, Costco's e-commerce sales experienced 13% growth in April from the comparable month last year. Core sales in Canada and other international markets took a hit due to price rises and macroeconomic pressures. However, this wasn't due to an anti-American sentiment. Soft results in the international market were offset by strong sales in the Southeast, Midwest and Northeast U.S. regions. Costco expressed worries regarding elevated beef prices but indicated that these pricing pressures will not affect sales in the fiscal third quarter as severely as the previous egg inflation did. As a result, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for Costco's fiscal third-quarter revenues is $63.1 billion, suggesting a 7.9% year-over-year increase. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for fiscal third-quarter earnings per share (EPS) is $4.25, indicating a 12.4% rise from the previous year. Image Source: Zacks Investment Research To top it off, Costco has consistently exceeded earnings expectations by an average of 0.8% over the past four quarters. This suggests that Costco may show earnings growth in its upcoming earnings report on Thursday after market close, which could have a favorable impact on its stock price. (Find the latest EPS estimates and surprises on Zacks Earnings Calendar.) Image Source: Zacks Investment Research Costco is running a successful membership model, which bodes well for its long-term prospects. Consumers often struggle to make firm decisions when purchasing everyday goods. Yet, Costco has successfully retained customers since its establishment in 1983. This is because the company operates as a membership club rather than a traditional retailer, which incentivizes its members to enhance the value they receive in exchange for their annual fees. By the way, membership fees have recently gone up to enhance Costco's profit margins during the second half of fiscal year 2025 and the start of fiscal year 2026. This revenue stream, which has a high profit margin, is expected to provide the company with more flexibility to handle the effects of tariffs without having to raise prices. Furthermore, Costco enjoys a high level of customer loyalty, with the renewal rate presently reaching a record 93%. This suggests that shoppers are drawn to the company's business model, which offers low prices on high-quality products. Costco made its supply chain more effective, increased item turnover, and simplified inventories by reducing the variety of products offered. All these have positioned Costco as one of the top performers in the retail sector, rivaling its peers such as Burlington Stores, Inc. BURL, Dollar General Corporation DG and Dollar Tree, Inc. DLTR, to name a few. The increase in comparable store sales indicates that the upcoming quarterly results will be encouraging, likely resulting in a surge in the stock price. Investors are encouraged to take advantage of this upward trend by purchasing shares in Costco. Additionally, Costco's solid customer loyalty and improvements in its operational processes will contribute to its growth in the near future. From a technical perspective, Costco stock is trading above both the short-term 50-day moving average (DMA) and long-term 200-DMA, indicating a bullish trend. This suggests that it's wise to invest in Costco stock. Image Source: Zacks Investment Research For now, Costco has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
