The Sun9 hours ago

WETHERSPOONS is launching 15 new ciders in days with the price of a jar £2.99.
The popular pub chain is kicking off a 10-day craft cider festival on June 27 offering punters a swathe of quirky tipples.
1
The last day of the festival is Sunday, July 6.
Included in the list of 15 ciders is the Barn Screecher, Moonshine Rum and Raisin and Toffee Apple.
Drinkers will also find the Midnight Special, Peach Mojito and Fiery Fox at the pumps.
Wetherspoons says all of the ciders are suitable for vegans and vegetarians with the average price £2.99.
Wetherspoon s chief executive John Hutson said: "The festival is a great celebration of craft cider.
"It will allow our pubs to showcase a selection of superb ciders over a 10-day period."
Tasting notes for the ciders will be in magazines inside Spoons pubs while a digital version will also launch on the Wetherspoons website and app.
The website can be found via www.jdwetherspoon.com while the app can be downloaded for free on to your smartphone.
All ciders will be available to order at the bar or via the Wetherspoons app.
Bear in mind, prices for the ciders might vary from pub to pub and not all 15 flavours will be on sale across all branches.
The Sun tries Wetherspoons' new menu
Eddie Gershon, spokesperson for Wetherspoons, said some pubs will only have 10 of the varieties in stock.
You can check what stock your local Spoons has and any prices by using the app.
OTHER WETHERSPOONS NEWS
Wetherspoons has launched three new meal deals at hundreds of its pubs.
The pub chain has shaken up its "Club" deals, offering customers a range of discounted food and drink.
A new small plates deal is being launched on Mondays, a fresh beer and burger deal on Tuesdays and a new pizza meal deal on Wednesdays.
It is also shaking up its Ale Wednesday Club deal meaning customers can get pints from £1.49 from Monday to Wednesday across 651 pubs.
The new meal deals aren't available across all pubs so it's worth checking on the app whether your local is running one.
Last month, Spoons also closed a beloved pub in Coventry - The Spon Gate.
Elsewhere, Spoons has launched a £2.99 breakfast deal, offering a breakfast muffin or small breakfast with soft or hot drink.
There are also veggie options available, which are served between 8am and midday.
At the start of the year, The Sun exclusively revealed Spoons had upped the price of a host of popular drinks and menu items across its pubs.
The chain bumped up prices on drinks by 15p while meal deals were increased by 30p.
How can I save money at Wetherspoons?
PUB-GOERS love Wetherspoons for its competitive pricing and low-cost meals - but did you know there are more ways to save money?
Senior consumer reporter Olivia Marshall explains how.
Free refills - Buy a £1.50 tea, coffee or hot chocolate and you can get free refills. The deal is available all day, every day.
Check a map - Prices can vary from one location the next, even those close to each other.
So if you're planning a pint at a Spoons, it's worth popping in nearby pubs to see if you're settling in at the cheapest.
Choose your day - Each night the pub chain runs certain food theme nights.
For instance, every Thursday night is curry club, where diners can get a main meal and a drink for a set price cheaper than usual.
Pick-up vouchers - Students can often pick up voucher books in
their local near universities, which offer discounts on food and drink, so keep your eyes peeled.
Get appy - The Wetherspoons app allows you to order and pay for your drink and food from your table - but you don't need to be in the pub to use it.
Taking full advantage of this, cheeky customers have used social media to ask their friends and family to order them drinks. The app is free to download on the App Store or Google Play.
Check the date - Every year, Spoons holds its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanently reduced tax bill for the pub industry.
It usually takes place in September, and last year it fell on Thursday, September 14.
As well as its 12-day Real Ale Festival every Autumn, Wetherspoons also holds a Spring Festival.

Stacey Solomon loses out on TRIC Award as TV presenter comes up short to winner Ladbaby after being 'robbed' at the BAFTAS

Stacey Solomon lost out on a career accolade once again after she missed out on the award for Social Media Broadcaster at the Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) awards on Tuesday evening. The TV presenter was nominated alongside Eddie Hall (The Beast), Rob Beckett and LadBaby and it was the latter who received the honour. The loss comes just months after Stacey, 35, was left disappointed when her show Sort Your Life Out lost out on the Factual Entertainment prize at the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards. At the time the star let rip at the BAFTA judges in an online rant as she said her team were 'robbed' of the accolade, prompting backlash from fans who branded her a 'bad loser'. And once again Stacey lost out on an accolade after this year's TRIC winners were decided by a million votes from the British Public from a list of pre-established nominations. Elsewhere Clarkson's Farm, which has just seen season four released, grabbed the gong in the Entertainment category over Gavin And Stacey, I'm A Celebrity.... Get Me Out Of Here! and The Traitors. While Strictly Come Dancing and Loose Women were dealt a brutal blow, with both shows among a series of high profile snubs to not even be nominated. In the Daytime category, A Place In The Sun has secured the win as it triumphed over Escape To The Country, Richard Osman's House Of Games and This Morning. Best Drama went to Call The Midwife as it won over All Creatures Great And Small, Baby Reindeer and Bridgerton. 24 Hours In Police Custody beat Freddie Flintoff's Field Of Dreams On Tour, The Martin Lewis Money Show Live and The Repair Shop in the Factual category. It was a day to celebrate for Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks after their podcast Staying Relevant triumphed against Begin Again with Davina McCall, Sh**ged. Married. Annoyed, and That Peter Crouch Podcast. While in the Food category fan favourite The Great British Bake Off came out on top in a strong category with Great British Menu, James Martin Saturday Morning and MasterChef. As for the Game Show award, there's Ant & Dec's Limitless Win, Michael McIntyre's The Wheel, The 1% Club and The Chase were nominated and it was Lee Mack's The 1% Club which grabbed the gong. Six Nations Rugby won best Live Sport and GB News Breakfast took home the prize in the news category. Charlie Peters took home best News presenter as he went head to head with Dan Walker, Fiona Bruce and Susanna Reid. As for the Radio Presenter award Jordan North was named number one against Ally McCoist, Simon Mayo and Vernon Kay. The Radio Show category featured Capital Breakfast with Jordan North, Chris Stark & Sian Welby, Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, Rylan on Sunday and White & Jordan. But it was Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden that won the award. The Soap Actor award went to EastEnders' Steve McFadden who plays Phil Mitchell while EastEnders also received the honour of Soap Of The Year. He beat other nominees Barney Walsh who stars as Cam Mickelthwaite in Casualty, Beth Cordingly who plays Ruby Fox-Milligan in Emmerdale and Jack P Shepherd who portrays David Platt in Coronation Street. TV Personality went to Bradley Walsh as he pipped Alison Hammond, Ant & Dec and Martin Lewis to the post.

Clarkson's Farm beats 3 HUGE shows to win major award as Prime Video hit goes from strength to strength

JEREMY Clarkson is rightly proud of the huge success of Clarkson's Farm, but even he could not have seen its latest accolade coming. The hit Prime Video series, now in its fourth run, took the entertainment gong at last night's Tric Awards — right from under the noses of telly's biggest shows. 8 8 It beat Gavin & Stacey's fabulous finale — which was watched by 18million viewers — Ant and Dec's behemoth I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Claudia Winkleman's more recent monster hit The Traitors. And that wasn't the only upset at the Television and Radio Industries Club's celebration of telly, radio and online shows, hosted by Dan Walker at London's Grosvenor Hotel. Bradley Walsh beat serial winners Ant and Dec, Alison Hammond and Martin Lewis to TV Personality. GB News Breakfast scooped the News category over Good Morning Britain, ITV and BBC's evening news, and also won best News Presenter for Charlie Peters over Fiona Bruce, Susanna Reid and host Dan. 'Funny memes' This Morning star Sam Thompson was thrilled to pick up the Podcast honour with pal Pete Wicks for Staying Relevant after a number of nominations since it began. A grinning Sam said: 'We've never won one and we turn up every time. 'It always goes to Peter Crouch, who doesn't even turn up!' A win also came as a surprise to the cast of Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off, who told me they failed to write an acceptance speech as they didn't expect to take home the Best Food gong ahead of BBC favourite MasterChef. Christiaan de Vries, who was a finalist last year, joked: 'I should've used ChatGPT! Bake Off is such a legacy, isn't it?' Last year's winner Georgie Grasso added: 'It's such a great show and everyone works so hard, so an award is the icing on the cake.' I don't want folk going veggie due to farming crisis, rages Jeremy Clarkson - so my pub will serve pig uterus & squirrel 8 8 8 8 The BBC's Call the Midwife pipped Bridgerton, Baby Reindeer and All Creatures Great and Small to Best Drama. Meanwhile, 24 Hours in Police Custody won Best Factual, beating The Repair Shop, The Martin Lewis Money Show Live and Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams. Stars turned out in force on the red carpet including Rylan Clark, Nadiya Bychkova, Tasha Ghouri and Leanne Quigley. Elsewhere, Sir Trevor McDonald won the Tric Special Award, and there were gongs for The 1% Club and EastEnders, as well as Jordan North, Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden for radio categories. Succession actor Brian Cox is taking his first-ever one-man show It's All About Me! on the road from November. He will talk about growing up in Dundee and Hollywood stardom. Brian said: 'In the second half, the tables are turned and the audience will have the chance to put their questions to me. "It should be a lot of fun.' Making a clean sweep 8 Crime scene cleaners will showcase their extraordinary lives in a new Channel 4 documentary. From dealing with the aftermath of murders as well as burglaries, arson attacks and drug busts, the crew, who are on call 24/7, are tasked with getting people's lives back to normal. The new series, which follows expert teams across the UK and US, will also feature a forensic psychiatrist, detectives and other forensic specialists who unpack the crimes and analyse the scenes before they're tidied up. The ten episodes of Crime Scene Cleaners will air from next Monday.
