A MAN IN his 40s has been hospitalised with serious injuries following a single-vehicle collision this morning in Co Roscommon.
The collision occurred on the R370 at Lurgan, Frenchpark, Co Roscommon, at around 6am.
The driver, a man in his 40s, was taken to Sligo University Hospital with serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.

The road is currently closed for a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Anyone who was in the R370 Lurgan area between 5:50am and 6:10am and may have witnessed the incident should contact investigating gardaí.
Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time, and may have camera footage including dash cam, are asked to make this footage available.

A garda spokesperson told the Irish Examiner that investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Gardaí launch urgent search appeal for missing Meath teenager

Gardaí have launched an urgent search appeal for a Meath teenager missing since the weekend. Alisha Doran, aged 16, was last seen in Ashbourne on Saturday, 9 August, at approximately 12pm. It is believed Alisha may have travelled to Dublin. Alisha is described as being five foot five inches in height, with a slim build, blonde hair and blue eyes. When last seen, Alisha was wearing green leggings, a green top and a black bomber jacket. Gardaí and Alisha's family are concerned for her well-being and have appealed for anyone with any information on her whereabouts to contact authorities. A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Alisha Doran (16), who is reported missing from Ashbourne, Co. Meath since Saturday, 9 August." They added: "Anyone with any information on Alisha's whereabouts is asked to contact Ashbourne Garda Station on (01) 8010600 the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station." Motorcyclist, 40s, dies in collision involving car in Co Waterford

A man has died following a collision involving a car and a motorcycle, which happened on Saturday afternoon in Co Waterford. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident on the Williamstown Road shortly after 1pm. The man, in his 40s, who was the motorcyclist, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has since been removed to University Hospital Waterford, where an autopsy will take place in due course. The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was also taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported, a garda spokesperson said. A technical examination of the scene is being carried out, and the road remains closed. Local diversions are in place. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 12.50pm and 1.30pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí. Homeowners along the Williamstown Road who may have CCTV footage are also asked to make this available to gardaí. Anyone with any information should contact Waterford Garda Station on (051) 305300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station. "Investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson said. It is the latest fatality to happen on Irish roads this weekend. On Saturday morning, a man in his 60s died in a collision in Co Tipperary. Gardaí and emergency services responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on the N24 at Kilmoyler, Cahir, at around 10.40 am.
