Lupin launches generic medication in US

New Delhi, Aug 11 (PTI) Drug maker Lupin on Monday said it has launched a medication, used to regulate blood glucose levels, in the US market.
The company has launched Glucagon for Injection USP, 1mg/vial packaged in an emergency kit in the US, the Mumbai-based drug maker said in a statement.
The company's product is bioequivalent to Eli Lilly and company's Glucagon for Injection, 1 mg/vial, it added.
Glucagon is indicated for the treatment of severe hypoglycemia in pediatric and adult patients with diabetes mellitus and as a diagnostic aid for use during radiologic examinations to temporarily inhibit movement of the gastrointestinal tract in adult patients.
As per IQVIA MAT June data, Glucagon for Injection USP, 1mg/vial packaged in an emergency kit had an estimated annual sale of USD 122 million in the US. PTI MSS DRR DRR

The report says 88 percent accuracy for ankle-related issues, 74 percent for flank pain and 80 percent for ear pains. NASA wants the virtual assistant to go beyond the usual health issues and also link the AI model to detect and treat effects of being in space for a long time. Google is clearly using AI beyond the regular tasks and putting it for genuine use. Agency: New Delhi, Aug 13 (PTI) HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company on Wednesday said it has forged a partnership with PhonePe to launch an affordable health insurance solution designed to serve the 'missing middle'. HDFC ERGO's partnership with PhonePe is a strategic move, as it brings together a trustworthy digital-first insurer and a digital payment platform, a joint statement said. By tapping into the digital infrastructure of PhonePe, the 'missing middle' of India now will have easy access to HDFC ERGO's comprehensive health insurance at an affordable premium, it said. Affordable premiums start at Rs 12 per day (or about Rs 4,380 per year) for Rs 3 lakhs coverage and other benefits, it said, adding, the policy can be purchased and issued through the PhonePe app. The policy primarily caters to individuals aged 18-30 years, many of whom are first-time insurance buyers, it added.
