Why former Premier League and international star with 'forever be a Reading fan'
Former Wales international Robbie Savage has confirmed that he will 'always be a Reading fan.'
The Macclesfield FC manager has been a regular at the Select Car Leasing Stadium for the past two years after his son, Charlie, moved to the club from Manchester United.
Having made close to a century of appearances for the club, the 21-year-old has become a Wales international, as his father was in the 2000s.
Now a regular pundit for BBC and TNT Sport, Savage often discusses the Royals and their off-field woes with his platform.

Reading was always a 'special' club, Savage admitted in the past, as he ended his 17-year professional career in RG2, famously stripping down to his pants and being applauded off the pitch after Reading beat Derby County in 2011.
"For me to be there for my last-ever game, in my underpants, the club will always be special," Savage told popular podcast The Tilehurst End. "When Reading were interested, I'll never forget the way Reading fans were with me on the last day."
A big character in the game, playing most prominently for the likes of Leicester City, Birmingham City and Derby, Savage was on Strictly Come Dancing in 2011 and performed at half-time in the Royals 2-2 draw with the Rams in October of that year.
"I danced there on the pitch at half-time, I went in goal at Reading for Derby," Savage continued. "The club means a lot, I'm a fan of Reading now and I'll be a fan of Reading forever because of the way they treated my son and me, in my last game."
Savage Jr came on leaps and bounds during his second season with the club, particularly impressing under Noel Hunt following Ruben Selles' departure in December 2024.
He remains under contract until 2027, one of only five players who are not out of contract this summer.

EastEnders star suspended over 'unacceptable' language
EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick has been suspended by the BBC after using a slur against people with disabilities on the set of Strictly Come Dancing. The offensive remark was made last November during filming for the BBC dance show's flagship Blackpool week, the Sun on Sunday reported. The BBC said his language was 'entirely unacceptable and in no way reflects the values or standards we hold and expect'.
