AEROSMITH were forced to retire early last year after frontman Steven Tyler suffered a serious vocal cord injury.
The US rockers had to pull the plug on their 2023 Peace Out: The Farewell Tour and said at the time that the decision was 'devastating'.

But Steven has been working hard on getting himself back to his best, and I've learned he is now gearing up to appear as a special guest at Ozzy Osbourne's final Black Sabbath show, at Birmingham's Villa Park on July 5.
A source said: 'Steven's injury was so bad and it has been a long road to recovery.
'He still loves performing live and has sung at a couple of charity events after they cancelled the tour.
'Playing at Ozzy's Back To The Beginning show was an offer he couldn't turn down and he will be on the line-up this summer.
'They are hoping Aerosmith guitarist] Joe Perry might be joining him too, but the final details are still being ironed out.'
The line-up for Ozzy's farewell show, which will see the original Sabbath line-up reunite to perform, is out of this world for rock fans like myself.
From Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Tool and Van Halen to Pantera, Guns N' Roses, Limp Bizkit, Smashing Pumpkins and Megadeth, the streets around Villa Park are going to be shaking when the concert kicks off.
Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello is in place as the musical director and teased there may be even more big names to come, saying: 'There's some pretty great surprises that are not posted anywhere.'
The show is being billed as 'the greatest day in the history of heavy metal' and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't counting down the days.
Ozzy, who has been plagued with ill health in recent years, is currently in training to prepare for the concert, where he will perform a selection of tracks with Black Sabbath.
Ozzy Osbourne fights back tears as he thanks wife Sharon for 'saving his life' in appearance at Rock N Roll Hall of Fame
He said last week: 'I've got a guy living at my house who's working with me.
'It's tough — I've been laid up for such a long time.
'I've been lying on my back doing nothing, and the first thing to go is your strength.
'It's like starting all over again.
'I've got a vocal coach coming round four days a week to keep my voice going.
'I'm used to doing two hours on stage, jumping and running around.
'I don't think I'll be doing much jumping or running around this time.
'I may be sitting down, but I'll be there, and I'll do the best I can.'
AMANDA TURNS UP THE CHEAT

SHE is already one of the biggest stars on British TV, and now Amanda Holden is a Netflix hit, too.
She posed in racy golden underwear as it was revealed her new reality show, Cheat: Unfinished Business, has entered the top ten on the streaming service in 22 countries, including the UK and the US.
In the show, Amanda and relationships expert Paul C Burnson help eight cheaters reconnect with their exes.
It's been so successful since it launched just over a week ago that a second series is already in the pipeline.
Celebrity spin-offs can be tedious, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an especially juicy star-studded version.
MILEY SNAKES THINGS UP

Miley Cyrus wowed in a strapless snakeskin dress for a Q&A at a Spotify fan event

I STRUGGLE to find one nice outfit for a night out, but Miley Cyrus managed to wear four at a single bash.
She was in full promo mode at a Spotify fan event on Tuesday evening to celebrate her album Something Beautiful, which is out in three weeks.
And she revealed another fashionista will sing on the record, confirming Naomi Campbell's vocals will be on the album, after I told how the supermodel would feature in the star's visuals for the project.
And just as with Naomi's usual look, Miley was dressed to impress, wearing a leather jacket and miniskirt to arrive, before changing into a strapless snakeskin dress for a Q&A on stage.
Later she wore a black minidress with golden polka dots, before leaving in a quirky tux with a tummy-baring white shirt, below.
During the event, Miley let slip that Alabama Shakes singer Brittany Howard also features on the album, and teased that the second single, More To Lose, will be out tomorrow.
On what to expect from the record, she joked: 'It's not only my best album, but my gayest.'
ECK' OF A SUMMER

Rising stars Ecko have kicked off a summer of shows across the UK

THEY'VE got a bright future ahead and now my favourite rising stars Ecko have kicked off a summer of shows across the UK.
The Scottish band, who I first championed after hearing their cool track Let Go back in February, played DJ Ewan McVicar's Pavilion Festival in Ayr over the weekend before heading down to their first show in London at The Elephant's Head in Camden.
And they absolutely nailed both shows – the crowds giving frontman Jamie Warden, guitarist Matthew Welsh, drummer Jonny Armstrong and bassist Liam O'Connor rave receptions.
At Pavilion, where Ecko played alongside acts including DJ Annie Mac and Happy Mondays, Ewan opened up about the importance of giving up-and-coming bands and singers the opportunity to play on bigger stages, as well as ensuring tickets are not allowed to become unaffordable.
He said: 'Working-class people getting priced out of things is getting worse and worse.
'I know what it is like to be skint – about five years ago I was living off my overdraft.'
He added: 'Look at the Brit Awards – nearly all the winners were privately educated apart from Sam Fender.
'I feel quite alienated at these events where you'll ask someone how they got into there to perform and they'll say it's because their dad did this and that.
'I worked my buns off to get where I am.'
Getting behind grassroots artists is more important than ever and Bizarre will keep banging that drum.

SYDNIE CHRISTMAS is on a mission to help younger generations learn about the importance of remembering the fallen.
The BGT winner has released a cover of Dame Vera Lynn classic We'll Meet Again for VE Day.
Sydnie told us: 'I wanted to show my respect.
'I had family in the war like a lot of us did.
'I wanted to do Vera Lynn proud.
'Ideally I want the young people of today to go back to her version.'
She continued: 'I don't think a lot of kids of today know the importance of it.
'My great grandad fought in the war and didn't meet my nan until she was five years old and the war had finished.
'Also my great-uncles fought too, but died on the beaches in France.'
JESSIE'S UP FOR BAFTA
TOM GRENNAN and Jessie J have both signed up to entertain the nation with performances at the Bafta Television Awards on Sunday.
The glitzy ceremony will air live on BBC One from 7pm, with Jessie giving her first TV performance in six years, singing an unreleased song, aptly titled The Award Goes To.
She said: 'I haven't sung on British television in years.
'What a way to come back – it's an honour.
'But who will the award go to? That's the question.'
Meanwhile, Tom will give a telly exclusive with the first performance of his new single Full Attention, which is being released tomorrow.

ISLA FISHER is single and ready to mingle, according to my pals who spotted her working the room at a party held before Sir David Attenborough's Ocean film premiere in London.
She began her night posing with Cara and Poppy Delevigne, as well as Georgia May Jagger at Gloobles' pre-Ocean premiere drinks at Notting Hill pub The Pelican, before attending the premiere and cosying up to Stephen Fitzpatrick, the owner of Kensington Roof Gardens.
My onlooker said: 'Isla was sitting next to Stephen throughout the film and they seemed to be very flirty.
'They got on like a house on fire and it was the talk of the night.'
It's either love . . . or she wants the best seats in the Roof Gardens next time she visits.
No one has seen as much of the world as Sir David.
THE Mercury Prize is leaving London for the first time in its 33-year history and will be held in Newcastle in October.
The award, celebrating the best British album of the past 12 months and previously won by Pulp and Arctic Monkeys, will be presented at the Utilita Arena on October 16, with tickets on sale now.

Former James Bond Pierce Brosnan joins co-star Helen Mirren's calls to ensure new 007 is a man following fears the iconic franchise was being taken over by 'woke' Hollywood

Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has joined Helen Mirren 's calls for the new 007 to be male, following Amazon's £770M takeover of the iconic franchise. The actor, 72, who starred as the secret agent between in four films 1995 to 2002, said he was excited to see the 'next man' that will replace Daniel Craig. Meanwhile Helen, 80, who appears alongside him in the new Netflix mystery The Thursday Murder Club, said Bond could never be a woman. She told SAGA: 'I'm such a feminist, but James Bond has to be a guy. You can't have a woman. It just doesn't work. James Bond has to be James Bond, otherwise it becomes something else.' While Pierce said: 'I'm so excited to see the next man come on the stage and to see a whole new exuberance and life for this character. I adore the world of James Bond '. 'It's been very good to me. It's the gift that keeps giving. And I'm just a member of the audience now, sitting back, saying: 'Show us what you're going to do'. Oscar winning Helen previously slammed the James Bond franchise, despite her deep admiration for the actors who have played the character. She told The Standard earlier this year:'I have to say I was never a great ward [of Bond], I'm a huge fan of Pierce Brosnan '. 'He also happens to be one of the nicest people you'll ever have the pleasure to work with,' she continued. 'And indeed Daniel Craig, who I've met and know a little bit. Again, a very lovely gracious person.' But while she holds Pierce and Daniel in high regard, Helen has little affection for the Bond franchise itself. 'The whole series of James Bond was actually not my thing, It really wasn't. I never liked James Bond. I never liked the way women were in James Bond.' She also said she was 'opposed' to a female 007: 'The whole concept of James Bond is drenched and born out of profound sexism.' Helen went on to insist espionage stories centered on real-life women deserve the spotlight. 'Women have always been a major and incredibly important part of the Secret Service, they always have been,' she explained. 'And very brave. If you hear about what women did in the French Resistance, they're amazingly, unbelievably courageous. 'So I would tell real stories about extraordinary women who've worked in that world.' It comes following The Mail On Sunday's reporting that 007 will remain a man and will still be British or from the Commonwealth. Fans of 007 feared Amazon Studios – owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos – would corrupt the British super spy after buying the Bond franchise and rights for £770 million from Bond stewards Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson. But a source said: 'There have been so many erroneous rumours about the future of Bond. Amazon is committed to keeping the spirit of Bond alive and that means he has to be British or from the Commonwealth – and he has to be male.' Ms Broccoli and Mr Wilson have fiercely protected the image of the British hero since taking over Eon Productions, the UK company behind previous Bond films, in 1995. Ms Broccoli is said to have insisted on Bond remaining British before agreeing to sell. Eon was founded by her father and Mr Wilson's stepfather, Albert 'Cubby' Broccoli, who bought the film rights to the martini-sipping, womanising spy from Bond creator Ian Fleming in 1961. There have since been 25 Bond films, starting with 1962's Dr No. But last month Ms Broccoli, 64, and Mr Wilson, 83, announced they had sold all creative rights to Amazon, headed by bald-headed Mr Bezos, who some fans compare to a Bond villain. Fans complained Amazon's plans to develop spin-off shows including one focusing on the early days of 007's secretary Miss Moneypenny would ruin the franchise. And they feared Amazon would try to 'wokeify' Bond. But last night an Amazon insider said: 'Jeff is a massive Bond fan and while he's excited to see how Amazon can take the franchise forward there are certain things which are sacrosanct. That's why the memo went out this week, to reassure everyone. 'But certain things are up for discussion, like whether the next Bond should be played by a man of colour.' The last Bond film was 2021's No Time To Die, starring Daniel Craig and Lea Seydoux.

Normal People author Sally Rooney vows to use her BBC royalties to fund terror group Palestine Action

Novelist Sally Rooney has vowed to fund the proscribed terror group Palestine Action. The Normal People author said she would donate earnings from her books and BBC adaptations to the organisation, adding: 'If this makes me a 'supporter of terror' under UK law, so be it.' Funding terrorism carries up to 14 years' imprisonment under the Terrorism Act 2000 – the same piece of legislation used to ban Palestine Action last month. Ms Rooney, 34, wrote in an article for The Irish Times: 'My books, at least for now, are still published in Britain, and are widely available in bookshops and even supermarkets. 'In recent years the UK's state broadcaster has also televised two fine adaptations of my novels, and therefore regularly pays me residual fees. 'I want to be clear that I intend to use these proceeds of my work, as well as my public platform generally, to go on supporting Palestine Action and direct action against genocide in whatever way I can. 'If the British state considers this 'terrorism', then perhaps it should investigate the shady organisations that continue to promote my work and fund my activities, such as WHSmith and the BBC.' The Irish writer added that 'to ensure the British public is made aware of my position, I would happily publish this statement in a UK newspaper – but that would now be illegal'. The BBC adaptation of Normal People, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal, was one of the corporation's biggest hits of 2020, and it has also adapted Ms Rooney's book Conversations With Friends. Palestine Action was banned last month after it admitted breaking into RAF Brize Norton in June, when £7 million of damage was caused to two Voyager aircraft. The action, approved by both Houses of Parliament, made it a proscribed organisation, meaning it is now a crime to offer it support or be a member. Ms Rooney was referred to during a hearing at the High Court in London last month, when the co-founder of Palestine Action, Huda Ammori, unsuccessfully sought to block the proscription. Blinne Ni Ghralaigh KC, representing Ms Ammori, told the court the ban would create 'far-reaching' harm and cause people to 'self-censor'. She said that Ms Rooney 'fears the ramifications for her, for her work, for her books, for her programmes' if she showed support for Palestine Action. Ms Ni Ghralaigh asked: 'Is the Prime Minister going to denounce her, an Irish artist, as a supporter of a proscribed organisation? Will that have ramifications for her with the BBC?' More than 700 people have been arrested since the ban came into force, including hundreds who held up placards which read 'I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action' at a demonstration in Parliament Square on August 9. The Metropolitan Police said on Friday a further 60 people will be prosecuted for supporting Palestine Action, in addition to three charges announced previously in relation to a protest on July 5. And on Saturday, Norfolk Police said 13 people were arrested at a protest in Norwich. It comes after Sir Jonathon Porritt, a former environmental adviser to the King, last week condemned the ban on Palestine Action as 'absolutely standard authoritarian tactics'.

Actor Terence Stamp, who starred in original Superman films, dies aged 87

Veteran British actor Terence Stamp, who starred in the original Superman films, has died aged 87. The Academy Award-nominated actor, who played Kryptonian villain General Zod in Superman and Superman II, died on Sunday. Advertisement Stamp, who starred as a transgender woman in 1994's The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert, was nominated for a Bafta for his performance. Born in the East End of London in 1938, Stamp rose to acting fame in the 1960s after he won a drama school scholarship. The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art scholarship led him to the stage, where he acted in repertory theatre and met Michael Caine, who was five years older than him. Advertisement He made his film debut in Peter Ustinov's 1962 film adaptation of Herman Melville's Billy Budd and his portrayal of the title character brought an Oscar nomination. Known for his stylish clothes, Stamp famously dated actress Julie Christie, who he performed alongside in the 1967 film Far From The Madding Crowd and was also in a relationship with the model Jean Shrimpton. It was not until 1978 that he got his most famous role as General Zod and appeared in Superman's 1980 sequel as the same character. Advertisement Stamp was also widely praised for his lead in director Steven Soderbergh's 1999 crime drama The Limey. He began voice acting and writing books in the late '90s, but also continued acting in films, appearing alongside Tom Cruise in Valkyrie in 2008 and working on movies directed by Tim Burton. The actor was known for his stylish clothes (Edmond Terakopian/PA) Stamp married 29-year-old Elizabeth O'Rourke in 2002 at the age of 64 but the couple divorced six years later. He did not have any children. His film career spanning six decades ended with the 2021 psychological thriller Last Night In Soho.
