
Media City Qatar receives AI Excellence Award at Google Cloud Summit Doha 2025
Held at the Qatar National Convention Centre, the summit brought together more than 1,500 attendees, including Google Cloud partners, government officials, customers, and industry leaders, to explore the latest trends in AI, data, cloud, and security.
Media City Qatar was honored during the summit with the prestigious "Innovative Partnership Driving AI Excellence Award" presented by Google Cloud. The recognition reflects Media City Qatar's growing role as a catalyst for AI innovation in the nation and beyond, highlighting its successful collaborations that merge creativity with cutting-edge technology.
As part of its contribution to the event, Media City Qatar hosted the official Media Hub, offering a space for 30 journalists and media professionals to cover the summit, conduct interviews, and network. Media City Qatar also hosted a strategic booth at the summit, allowing attendees to connect with its team and learn more about its offerings to support media innovation and entrepreneurship.

In Tokyo, Media City Qatar hosted a landmark forum, held in the presence of H.E. Jaber Jaralla Al-Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan in Tokyo, and attended by more than 450 industry professionals, government officials, ambassadors, content creators and gaming industry leaders. The event served as a platform to explore how Japanese intellectual property can succeed on a global scale with the support of international partners. Eng. Other notable moments at the forum included panel discussions with Eiko Mizuno, co-producer of several Qatar–Japan projects, Keishi Otomo, one of Japan's most renowned film directors, and Akira Morii, producer of a Netflix series.
