Located on a 154-acre ranch in Hyrum, Utah, the gargantuan home was the brain child of a wealthy tech founder, Cache Valley Daily reported. Its impressive size and theme park-like decor has attracted strong reactions from online looky-loos.

The listing, a little over an hour north of Salt Lake City, is held by Summit Sotheby's International Realty's Kerry Oman.
'This estate is truly unlike anything else in the western United States,' Oman told the outlet. 'It offers an unmatched combination of space, luxury and versatility — creating a perfect environment to live, entertain and make memories that will last a lifetime.
The home, known as Lazy R Ranch, was constructed six years ago by Richard Spillman, the outlet reported. Spillman made his fortune in 2016 when his software company, Spillman Technologies Inc., was acquired by Motorola.

The five-level main house, built in 2019, is currently listed for $19.5 million on Zillow. Its eight bedrooms offer the usual mansion trappings — vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets, wet bars and ensuite bathrooms — but the themed rooms make the home quirky.
There's a 'Swiss Family Robinson'-inspired bunkroom, a replica of Disneyland's Tiki Room, a 'Cars'-themed raceway and a Frontierland-themed shooting range.

Spillman put the residence on the market before it was completed, including an in-construction pool barn rising 53 feet tall and spanning 27,080 square feet. The space is poised to host a swimming pool, an exercise area and an event space, according to the listing.
The barn is connected to the main house by a 2,266-square-foot concrete tunnel reminiscent of a secret base in 'Star Wars.'
The property also offers a guest house and a five-bay shop.

Subaru will begin testing solid-state batteries, a holy grail from electric cars, in Japan this month, but the new power packs under development aren't what you might think. The all-wheel-drive specialist is piloting the advanced battery technology not in vehicles such as its Solterra or Trailseeker electric crossovers but in robots that make engines and transmissions. The batteries, made by Maxell Ltd., a Japanese electronics firm once known for cassette tapes, are miniature versions of the much bigger packs engineers envision as one day powering cars. Maxell's ceramic-packaged all-solid-state batteries entered mass production in 2023. They are primarily used as backup batteries in industrial equipment to protect computer memory loss. Subaru Corp. says the traditional batteries used in its factory robots need to be replaced every one or two years. The solid-state batteries, however, can last up to 10 years. 'By installing all-solid-state batteries in the industrial robots used at our factory, Subaru aims to reduce both industrial waste and maintenance work for industrial robots by utilizing the long battery life,' the company said in announcing the news Aug. 18. Subaru, a latecomer in the shift to full-electric vehicles, hasn't previously announced plans for solid-state batteries in manufacturing, let alone in vehicles. A spokeswoman for the company said the company is evaluating future battery technologies and is undecided about solid-state in cars. But full-fledged power packs that can move an entire automobile could be a long way off. 'We are focusing on the development of small-size, all-solid-state batteries and are not currently considering the development of batteries for vehicle power sources,' Maxell spokesman Hitoshi Yamagata said. Still, there could be other auto applications. 'By applying these technologies, there is a possibility that it could lead to technology for automobiles,' he said. Japan's Maxell is already pioneering solid-state batteries Automakers worldwide, including Toyota, Honda and Nissan in Japan, see successful development of all-solid-state batteries as critical to unlocking the potential of full-electric vehicles by enabling much longer ranges in smaller, lighter packages. The batteries, which have a ceramiclike electrolyte instead of a liquid one, are much more energy-dense, faster charging and considered safer than today's liquid-electrolyte lithium ion batteries. The batteries are seen as especially beneficial in sports cars and big SUVs. The Maxell batteries used by Subaru are way too small to power an EV. EV batteries have capacity of anywhere between 60 kilowatt-hours to 100 kWh. But Maxell's solid-state industrial batteries have a discharge capacity between 8 milliampere-hours to 40 milliampere-hours. That equates to just a tiny fraction of 1 kWh. Subaru is using the newfangled batteries in nine robots at its Oizumi engine and transmission plant in its Gunma manufacturing hub just north of Tokyo. Subaru is rethinking its strategy for full-electric vehicles. Citing the end of U.S. tax credits for EVs and the cooling sales growth for battery electrics, CEO Atsushi Osaki said this month that Subaru wants to boost its production ratio of internal combustion and hybrid vehicles. Subaru Corp. previously said it wants to electrify all its vehicles — with either standard or plug-in hybrid setups or full battery-electric systems — in the first half of the 2030s. Now it said it expects to achieve a 50 percent all-electric lineup sometime after 2030. 'The pace of battery EV penetration has slowed considerably,' Osaki said at the company's quarterly earnings announcement. 'In addition, environmental regulations have been relaxed recently. What to know about ESPN's new streaming service
ESPN will unveil an AI-fueled feature that mimics the voice of TV anchors as part of a slate of app-based features set for release on Thursday, alongside the launch of the sports network's streaming service, the company said this week. The new feature, called 'SportsCenter for You,' will provide personalized videos specific to a user's interests and reliant upon AI-generated commentary derived from the voices of SportsCenter anchors Hannah Storm and Gary Striewski, among others. The streaming service will appear under the title "ESPN" and cost subscribers $29.99 per month or $299.99 per year, ESPN said. It will include interactive features like betting and fantasy sports, helping distinguish it from the broadcaster's linear television offering. 'Our mission is to serve the sports fan anytime, anywhere,' Jimmy Pitaro, the chairman of ESPN, told reporters on Tuesday. 'This service and the enhanced ESPN App will deliver on that promise.' Disney is the parent company of both ESPN and ABC News. The network's updated mobile app will also include a feature called 'Verts,' a swipe-able series of videos driven by a personalized algorithm that resembles social media platforms like TikTok. A new feature called 'StreamCenter' will sync a user's ESPN app and TV, allowing viewers to follow real-time stats, betting odds and shopping deals alongside a sporting event. The synced-up platforms will also enable viewers to use their mobile device as a secondary controller for the program that appears on their TV screen, the company said. A bundled Disney+, Hulu and ESPN offering will be made available for $29.99 over the first 12 months, ESPN said. After that period, the bundled set of three services will cost $35.99 per month with ads or $49.99 per month without ads, ESPN said. A bundled ESPN and Fox offering, set for release on Oct. 2, will run $39.99 per month. A separate bundle of ESPN and NFL+, which includes NFL RedZone, will be made available on Sept. 3 for $39.99 per month. A lower-priced version of the streaming service featuring a narrower set of content will cost $11.99 per month or $119.99 per year. The full ESPN streaming service will include programming from the network's array of channels such as ESPN, ESPN2 and the SEC Network, among others. Original programming, documentaries and studio shows like "The Pat McAfee Show" will also be accessible for unlimited subscribers. Current cable subscribers can gain full access to the new streaming service after being authorized by their cable provider, company executives said on Tuesday. However, the company added, full authorization remains unavailable through select cable providers as ESPN resolves outstanding negotiations, meaning some cable subscribers will be unable to access content broadcast exclusively on the streaming service. Such content will be initially unavailable to customers of Comcast Xfinity, YouTube TV, Dish Network, Sling TV and Cox, the company said. Beset by cord-cutting that threatens its mainstay traditional TV business, Disney has grown the audience for its bundle of streaming services. Disney added 1.8 million subscribers to its streaming service Disney+ during its most recent quarter, bringing total global subscribers to nearly 128 million, the company said earlier this month. The company had expected a decline in subscribers over the three-month period. Speaking on an earnings call in May, Disney CEO Bob Iger touted the ESPN streaming service as a means of reaching viewers on all platforms, especially young viewers.

Russian allies Belarus and Iran agree to boost bilateral defense ties
The leaders of Belarus and Iran signed new agreements on Wednesday to boost bilateral ties in key areas including defense, the two governments said. Presidents Alexander Lukashenko and Masoud Pezeshkian signed a package of 13 documents in the Belarusian capital, Minsk. Both governments have been placed under heavy sanctions, limiting potential trading partners. Pezeshkian said Iran would help Belarus to 'neutralize' such measures, citing Tehran's decades of experience circumventing Western economic restrictions. Lukashenko told Pezeshkian that Belarus was 'ready to cooperate with you on all issues — from providing your country with food to military-technical cooperation,' calling the Iranian president a 'friend.' The two parties did not disclose any further details on how the countries intend to cooperate in the defense sector. Other areas covered by the agreement include industry and tourism, as well as joint initiatives in science, technology and education. Access to Belarus' wood processing and chemical industry, as well as potash fertilizers, can all bring potential benefits to Iran. The two presidents also said their countries would start work toward a strategic partnership treaty.
