The Worcester Volunteer Expo 2025 will take place at the Guildhall on Friday, June 6, from 10am to 2pm.
More than 40 local organisations will attend, sharing information about their community support and volunteering opportunities.
Councillor Jabba Riaz, chair of Worcester City Council's communities committee, said: "The Worcester Volunteer Expo is a fantastic opportunity for anyone curious about getting involved in local volunteering.
"Volunteers truly are the heartbeat of Worcester.
"Whether it's protecting our green spaces, preserving our heritage, or promoting our city's rich cultural life, their contributions help shape a stronger, more connected community."
He added: "Every year, volunteers give hundreds of hours of their time, making a real difference to the services and support available in our city.
"Volunteering is not only a way to give something back to your community – it's also a chance to develop new skills, meet people, and grow both personally and professionally.
"The Expo is a relaxed, drop-in event – there is absolutely no pressure to sign up on the day.
"I'd encourage anyone who has ever considered volunteering to come along and discover the wide variety of opportunities available in Worcester."

'This Is Panic': Defence Secretary Forced To Deny Keir Starmer Is Rattled By Nigel Farage
A cabinet minister has been forced to deny that Keir Starmer is 'panicking' about the rise of Reform UK. John Healey defended the prime minister's decision to stage a hastily-arranged press conference specifically to attack Nigel Farage. The PM compared the Reform leader to Liz Truss over his spending plans, and also accused him of 'poisoning our politics'. On Sky News this morning, presenter Trevor Phillips told Healey: 'His speech had 1,100 words, 750 of them were about Nigel Farage. Why is he panicking?' The defence secretary replied: 'He's not panicking.' But Phillips went on: 'Why does the prime minister go into a hangar to talk about a bloke who's got five MPs on a week when the Russians are threatening, trade wars, all the rest of it. This is panic.' Healey said: 'He's challenging a party leader, Nigel Farage. He's challenging a party that did very well in the local elections, he's challenging a leader that is soft on Putin, that wants to sell off the NHS, that is making massive promises that he won't fund and can't deliver. 'Why the prime minister is saying this is that we are facing across the board, irrespective of party, a crisis of people's confidence and conviction that government can make a difference and anything can change the things that they see are wrong in this country.' He added: 'Keir Starmer is absolutely right to challenge Nigel Farage against these easy, soft solutions, and the promises that are false and he can never deliver.' Defence Secretary @JohnHealey_MP reaffirms Keir Starmer is "not panicking" when it comes to the rise of Reform UK, stressing it was "absolutely right" of the PM to challenge Nigel Farage in a speech on more: — Sky News (@SkyNews) June 1, 2025 The pair clashed as new analysis revealed Farage is on course for 10 Downing Street with a comfortable Commons majority. A calculation based on the most recent opinion polls suggests Reform UK would end up with 362 seats if a general election was held tomorrow. Labour would have 136 MPs elected, followed by the Lib Dems with 62 and the SNP with 38, the Electoral Calculus assessment suggested. In yet more bad news for Kemi Badenoch, the Conservatives would be the fifth-largest party with just 22 seats. The result would hand Farage a 74-seat majority, big enough for Reform UK to be able to govern without the need to rely on the support of other parties. Insiders Claim Tom Cruise May Want to Bury the Hatchet for Good With Ex Nicole Kidman by Doing This
Tom Cruise and his second ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, seemingly haven't interacted after their shock divorce. But now, it seems Cruise may want to bury the hatchet for good, all for their kids. Sources recently alleged to Heat World UK that after Cruise made that comment about Kidman, which was his first public comment about her in over 20 years, he may want to turn things around for them and their two kids. More from SheKnows Nicole Kidman Reveals She Discusses 'The Most Intimate Things' With Her Teenage Daughters: 'I Get To Be Their Guide' (For the British Film Institute's Sight and Sound magazine via Deadline, he spoke about Kidman in May 2025, saying, 'It was basically he and I getting to know each other,' he said. 'And when we were doing that, I suggested Nicole play the role [of Alice]. Because obviously she's a great actress.') 'Tom has always had such a huge chip on his shoulder towards Nicole, she tried many times over the years to break through so that they could have a better co-parenting relationship, but he was always totally closed off,' they alleged, adding that he now wants the family of four to reconnect. 'But he's started to soften and he's so much more mellow these days. He's shocked everyone in his world by saying he wants to get together with Nicole, most likely in London.' They added, 'Of course, he wants Connor and Bella to be there with him; they've wanted peace between their parents for a long time, so this is music to their ears.' 'Tom insists that time has been a great healer but a lot of people are convinced this is more motivated by his new romance with Ana [de Armas],' insiders said about his highly-publicized romance with future co-star Armas. 'Whatever the reason, Tom is very gung-ho about this and plans on reaching out to Nicole very soon to get the ball rolling. Odds are she will be all for it, though no doubt it will be emotional to come face to face with him after all these years.' For those who don't know, Kidman and Cruise met on the set of the hit film Days of Thunder and tied the knot a year later on Christmas Eve in 1990. They worked together on-screen again for the western film Far and Away two years later, and again in 1999 for Eyes Wide Shut. And as we said, they adopted two children together, named Isabella Jane, 32, and Connor, 30. Despite officials saying it was an amicable split, Nicole Kidman said she was blindsided when Tom Cruise filed for divorce from her in 2001. Before Kidman became the superstar she is today, she told Marie Claire, per Goalcast, that she felt like a trophy at the beginning of their marriage. 'I thought, I don't deserve to be here. We would go to the Oscars, and I would think, I'm here to support [Tom]. I felt it was my job to put on a beautiful dress and to be seen and not heard.' While Cruise has continued to be close with Isabella and Connor (especially considering their Scientology ties), many wondered what Kidman's relationship was like with them. They're still tight too! Tom Cruise's Second Act Keeps Getting Derailed by Scientology
Tom Cruise's career renaissance hit an unexpected snag at the London premiere of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. As the 62‑year‑old Hollywood heavyweight made his grand entrance — pulling a stunt akin to his Olympics announcement last summer, scaling the nose of twin vintage planes as part of the film's spectacle — a small band of former Scientology members staged a peaceful protest just feet from the red carpet. Their leader, 29‑year‑old Alex Barnes — who is publicly listed on Scientology's websites as an enemy of the group, part of the group's 'fair game' harassment tactic — livestreamed the demonstration, which lasted roughly ten minutes before plainclothes officers swooped in, cuffing protesters under stop‑and‑search laws and searching their bags — by which time Cruise and his fellow A‑listers were already inside the Odeon Leicester Square. More from SheKnows Ana de Armas Spoke About Tom Cruise for the First Time After Romance Rumors & She's Keeping Us Guessing Barnes later decried the incident as 'a completely unnecessary and excessive use of police force which temporarily restricted our rights to peaceful protest,' per The Sun, noting that he'd been neither approached nor asked why he and his group had gathered. 'It was absolutely not our intention to cause any sort of disruption. We just wanted to be heard,' he told reporters, adding that cuffs had left bruises on his wrists. According to the Metropolitan Police, officers responded to reports of suspicious behavior before determining the demonstration was peaceful; no one was formally arrested. This latest disruption underscores the long‑standing shadow Scientology casts over Cruise's every move. Since the group was founded in the 1950s by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, it has weathered allegations of financial exploitation, emotional abuse, and aggressive tactics to stifle dissent, and that's putting it conservatively. Cruise, arguably the world's most famous Scientologist, has been its public poster child for decades, even as whispers mount that he's quietly distanced himself from the church. He hasn't publicly mentioned his membership in over a year, though insiders insist he's not fully out. For Cruise, these protests come amid a highly publicized second act in his personal life: his alleged romance with Ana de Armas. The pair have jet‑set across Europe together, from helicopter drop‑ins to low‑key Valentine's outings. Yet beneath the apparent bliss lies a thorny question of faith. De Armas, a devout Catholic, hails from a tight‑knit religious family in Cuba, and friends say she's weighed whether Scientology could derail her own future. 'Ana was raised Catholic and her family would not accept Tom because of his beliefs,' a source previously explained, though another insider insisted her heart might be open: 'His Scientologist beliefs are not a deal breaker for Ana.' Whether Cruise and de Armas can navigate this spiritual divide remains to be seen. But on premiere night in Leicester Square, it was clear that no amount of Hollywood pageantry can fully distract from the controversies that cling to one of its brightest of SheKnows 20 Of Jackie Kennedy's Most Iconic Summer Outfits All the Best Photos of Jackie Kennedy With Her Young Kids JFK Jr. & Caroline Kennedy Kristen Stewart, Keke Palmer, & More Stars Who Had Dramatic Hair Changes
