Insiders Claim Tom Cruise May Want to Bury the Hatchet for Good With Ex Nicole Kidman by Doing This
Tom Cruise and his second ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, seemingly haven't interacted after their shock divorce. But now, it seems Cruise may want to bury the hatchet for good, all for their kids.
Sources recently alleged to Heat World UK that after Cruise made that comment about Kidman, which was his first public comment about her in over 20 years, he may want to turn things around for them and their two kids.

'Tom has always had such a huge chip on his shoulder towards Nicole, she tried many times over the years to break through so that they could have a better co-parenting relationship, but he was always totally closed off,' they alleged, adding that he now wants the family of four to reconnect. 'But he's started to soften and he's so much more mellow these days. He's shocked everyone in his world by saying he wants to get together with Nicole, most likely in London.'
They added, 'Of course, he wants Connor and Bella to be there with him; they've wanted peace between their parents for a long time, so this is music to their ears.'
'Tom insists that time has been a great healer but a lot of people are convinced this is more motivated by his new romance with Ana [de Armas],' insiders said about his highly-publicized romance with future co-star Armas. 'Whatever the reason, Tom is very gung-ho about this and plans on reaching out to Nicole very soon to get the ball rolling. Odds are she will be all for it, though no doubt it will be emotional to come face to face with him after all these years.'
For those who don't know, Kidman and Cruise met on the set of the hit film Days of Thunder and tied the knot a year later on Christmas Eve in 1990. They worked together on-screen again for the western film Far and Away two years later, and again in 1999 for Eyes Wide Shut.
And as we said, they adopted two children together, named Isabella Jane, 32, and Connor, 30.
Despite officials saying it was an amicable split, Nicole Kidman said she was blindsided when Tom Cruise filed for divorce from her in 2001. Before Kidman became the superstar she is today, she told Marie Claire, per Goalcast, that she felt like a trophy at the beginning of their marriage. 'I thought, I don't deserve to be here. We would go to the Oscars, and I would think, I'm here to support [Tom]. I felt it was my job to put on a beautiful dress and to be seen and not heard.'
While Cruise has continued to be close with Isabella and Connor (especially considering their Scientology ties), many wondered what Kidman's relationship was like with them. They're still tight too! Mike Flanagan Is Working Closely with Stephen King on THE DARK TOWER TV Adaptation: "I'm Not Gonna Let Him Down" — GeekTyrant
Mike Flanagan is still hard at work developing his adaptation of Stephen King's magnum opus The Dark Tower series, and according to the filmmaker, it's just taking time because, well… it's that big. In a recent interview with ComicBook, Flanagan offered a candid update when asked about the long-gestating project: 'It's not that I've put it down. It's just that the thing is so big, it's like building an oil tanker. We've been moving it forward this whole time. 'It's just, that's how big it is. It's constantly in the works, and you better believe as often as you guys may want to ask about it, Stephen King is asking me about it more, and I'm not gonna let him down.' Flanagan is 100% committed to the project and he's collaborating directly with the author himself. King even confirmed earlier this year that he's actively writing material for the series: 'All I can say is, it's happening. I am writing stuff now, and I think that's all I want to say, because the next thing you know, I'll stir up a bunch of stuff I don't necessarily want to stir up yet. I'm in process right now, and to say too much feels like a jinx.' While Flanagan's Dark Tower hasn't landed at a streamer or officially gone into production yet, it is fully outlined. The plan is to make it a five-season series that gives the epic eight-book saga the breathing room it needs. If there's anyone who will be able to do it right, it's Flanagan. His track record with King's work speaks for itself: Gerald's Game , Doctor Sleep , and the upcoming The Life of Chuck , which hits theaters June 6. All these projects have all shown he gets the tone, the heart, and the horror that comes with adapting King's work. He's also developing a new take on Carrie . When Flanagan first announced the project, he said that the pilot script is 'one of my favorite things I've ever gotten to work on.' He shared at the time: 'I wrote a pilot, we view it as a as a series that's going at least five seasons. And having lived with this project as long as I have, I have an enormous amount of it worked out in my brain. 'But I have a pilot script I'm thrilled with and a very detailed outline for the first season and a broader outline for the subsequent seasons. 'I think eventually, if we're able to get it going, there are some other writers I want to fold into that process whom I've worked with before; I think they would be really fabulous for a very small, intimate writers room where we can continue to break it. 'I'll tell you, more than half of my life, I've closed my eyes and been able to watch a lot of this play out, I've dreamed about this. 'That first shot which comes right off at the first incredible sentence of the first book, The Gunslinger, I've had that image just rattling around in my head since I was an undergrad. It's going to have to get out of there eventually, I really need to get it out of my head. 'The pilot script is one of my favorite things I've ever gotten to work on. It's been surreal working on that. So we've been floored and grateful that Stephen King trusts us with such an undertaking, something so precious to him, and we hope to find the right partners to realize it.' The director has been adamant that his adaptation will stick as close to the source material as possible. Back in 2022, Flanagan said: 'It would look like the books. The way not to do The Dark Tower is to try to turn it into something else, to try to make it Star Wars or make it Lord of the Rings . 'It is what it is, what it is is perfect. It's just as exciting as all of those things and just as immersive. It's a story about a tiny group of people, all the odds in the whole world are against them, and they come together. As long as it's that, it'll be fine and there won't be a dry eye in the house.' I cant wait to see what he does with this story!

Former top Greek fire officials convicted over deadly blaze, victims' relatives angry at acquittals
ATHENS, Greece (AP) — A court in Athens on Tuesday convicted a former Fire Service chief and nine others for their roles in managing a 2018 wildfire that killed more than 100 people outside the Greek capital. The hearing was disrupted by protests from victims' relatives after several former civil administrators on trial were acquitted. The fire, which broke out in the seaside area of Mati, east of Athens, spread rapidly due to strong winds. Many residents died in a chaotic attempt to escape — either by car through a dense forest or fleeing into the sea. Senior officials from the Fire Service and civil protection agencies were found guilty of negligence resulting in loss of life and breach of duty for failing to safely direct the evacuation. A sentencing hearing was scheduled for Wednesday due to the delay caused by the courtroom protests. 'My daughter went there for one day and never made it out. No one told her to leave,' Eleni Siapkara, dressed in black and holding a white rose, told reporters. 'They destroyed our family.' Her 35-year-old daughter, Calliope, died in the fire. Siapkara joined other grieving relatives outside the courthouse where they released black helium-filled balloons in remembrance of the tragedy. Six of the defendants were initially found guilty in a trial that concluded last year, but an appeals court prosecutor challenged the verdict, leading to a retrial. None of the defendants was jailed while awaiting the outcome of the second trial.

Lost dog returns home after swimming to island in 100-mile trip
A dog who went missing for more than a month and covered about 100 miles - including a mile-long swim - has finally been returned to her foster home after being rescued at sea. Five-year-old Amber bolted in late April, a day after arriving in London from Qatar, where she was rescued from the streets. Sam Collins, co-founder of not-for-profit KS Rescue Angels, told CNN Tuesday that Amber was transferred to an experienced foster family in England's southern New Forest region on April 25. The following morning, Amber escaped from the family's garden, despite the fact they had 8-foot fences surrounding their property. News of Amber's escape was posted on social media and around the local area. Numerous sightings were reported and pictures and video clips sent to the rescue service, which enabled them to map Amber's movements. 'Within the first three weeks she was probably only travelling around 10 miles from where she had gone missing but in different directions,' said Collins. Pictures and video clips that they received enabled KS Rescue Angels to set up cameras and feeding stations. 'We were doing this for three or four weeks and we always seemed to be one step behind her. Then it all went dark around the four-week mark and we stopped getting any reliable sightings.' Collins believes this was probably when Amber travelled 30 miles to the coastal town of Poole. Locals had reported sightings there of a stray dog but it was too far away for anyone to make the connection. Incredibly, Amber managed to swim a mile from the town's affluent neighbourhood of Sandbanks to Brownsea Island. Managed by the National Trust, Brownsea is a wildlife haven where dogs are not usually welcome. 'She spent three days there and there was a search party from the National Trust, as well as a lady who lived there who put food out for her every night. She probably got spooked by all the people trying to catch her so she tried to swim back to Sandbanks but got into trouble when she got caught in the currents and tide,' Collins said. Fortunately, however, Amber was spotted by a passing boat. 'She swam to the boat and actually hooked her paws around the ladder on the side,' said Collins. 'They couldn't pull her up because she had actually hooked her paws so tightly, so one of the lads jumped in the water to get in from behind her and push her into the boat.' Back on dry land, news of the amazing recovery circulated on social media - and eventually reached Collins who recognized Amber from a scar on her nose. Once she was collected, Amber was checked over by a vet who found she had lost weight but was otherwise well. She is now back with the foster family. 'She's been very tired but very snuggly,' said Collins. 'She's got a couple of bruises where she's probably caught herself on barbed wire, thorn bushes or something, but other than that she's in remarkable condition considering. 'She's being kept on at least two, possibly three leads at any time in the garden. The foster home is terrified of her getting out again.' Collins said Amber likely covered about 100 miles during her extended walkies. Amber will remain with the family for at least a couple of weeks, after which KS Rescue Angels hope she will be rehomed. 'The story has blown up so we've had quite a lot of interest from people wanting to adopt her,' said Collins, adding that extensive checks must be carried out. 'We need to make sure that whoever she goes to gives her a five-star home and understands that she's a flight risk.'
