Glasgow stars in first trailer for The Running Man
Scottish fans were also excited to see Glasgow star as the backdrop for parts of the film, with various streets across the city having been closed for shooting, as they were given a sci-fi transformation.

Scenes for the Paramount Pictures production, which is due out on November 21, were shot on several city centre streets in Glasgow, including Hope Street, Renfrew Street and St Vincent Street, in November last year.
Based on Stephen King's 1982 novel of the same name, The Running Man (1987) centres on Ben Richards, a falsely convicted policeman in dystopian America who gets his shot at freedom when he must forcibly participate in a TV game show where convicts must battle killers for their freedom.

The 1987 version starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, but Top Gun: Maverick and Twisters star Powell has taken over the leading role with the reboot.
The trailer begins with Powell's character in Union Place off Gordon Street near Glasgow Central station, with other well recognisable locations such as the SEC Armadillo, The OVO Hydro, Cadogan Square and the Savoy Centre also appearing in the trailer.
Speaking about the reboot in 2023, director Edgar Wright, who is best known for cult classics like Hot Fuzz, Baby Driver and Shaun of the Dead said the reboot would not necessarily be a remake of the 1987 movie, but a more faithful adaptation of Stephen King's novel.

Love Is Blind UK Katisha's shock note and what it said as star storms off show
Love Is Blind UK's next batch of episodes have dropped showing the five new couples navigating their lives together *Warning: Contains spoilers for Love Is Blind UK Season 2* A Love Is Blind UK contestant has dramatically quit the programme after leaving a shocking message for her fiancé in a surprising turn of events. Love Is Blind UK season 2 witnessed the latest batch of episodes drop today (August 20) as the five fresh couples work through their new relationships together. Following extensive dating in the pods, the selected pairs chose to advance their romance to the next level and get engaged whilst planning their nuptials. However, pressure mounts for the couples as they encounter obstacles in their partnerships, reports the Mirror. This week, one participant has dramatically left the programme, leaving a single message for their other half. Devastating moments showed Scottish native Katisha and Javen battling with their communication, which followed Katisha's last minute choice to pick Javen, despite confessing a deeper bond with Demola in the pods. Yet Katisha broke down in tears on the programme following Javen's surprising choice this week. Previous moments featured a get-together with the couples and fellow cast members, before Javen seemed to be getting friendlier with singletons Sophie, Yolanda and Aanu. Javen chose to head back out with the group and left Katisha on her own at their accommodation. Subsequent scenes showed Megan confessing to Katisha that Javen had actually spent the majority of the night with the other three women, which left Katisha far from pleased. Megan revealed to Katisha: "I'm not going to lie, he went straight to Sophie. "He was chatting to Sophie a lot and then I watched them get into a photo booth..... I didn't see any photo." She continued: "It was the weirdest thing, he just kept laughing. He was just being like yeah, nothing, nothing. After that he moved on started talking to Yolanda, eventually started talking to Aanu." However, when Katisha confronted Javen, a row quickly erupted as she declared she was "going home." Left disappointed by his behaviour, Katisha was later overheard saying: "I have no desire to speak to Javen again, I've been in relationships like this before and I've trusted them and I've taken them back again and again and again. I didn't come here to make the same mistakes." Before departing the programme, Katisha penned a farewell note to Javen, placing it beside her engagement ring on the table for him to discover upon his return. The note read: "I truly wanted this to work, we are obviously more than our mistakes but I can't marry potential. I'm sorry, all the best Katisha." Upon discovering the message, Javen confronted Megan, demanding to know what had been said to Katisha before branding it "lies" as a heated row erupted. What lies ahead for Love Is Blind UK? Viewers must wait until August 27 when the concluding two episodes air.

The ex-Tottenham star enjoyed the experience so much, the party returned the following night for more football and curry. And he got the result he'd have hoping for too as he watched hometown club Cardiff City beat Swindon 2-1. The 35-year-old, who retired from the game two years ago after a stellar career in which he won five Champions Leagues with Madrid and 111 caps for his country, delighted locals with his 'down-to-earth' charm. He even posed for snaps and signed autographs. The bar manager told the Scottish Sun: "I suspect they were all staying at Gleneagles which is just nearby, but they came here both nights. "He and a few of his pals came along around 6pm, they chose to sit facing the big screens to catch the game - it's the best view in the house. "They had a big feast cooked by our chef Mandeep - who still cooks the delicious recipes he used at Gleneagles. "It obviously went down well - we couldn't believe when they walked back through the doors for round two on Tuesday night. "He was so lovely, polite and down to earth. Micah Richards gasps 'you said that?' as Gareth Bale makes shock revelation live on TV "There was a bit of a crowd on Tuesday night, with the talk spreading through the town, and Gareth was so happy to chat and pose for pictures for fans. "We'd gladly welcome him back - what a lovely customer." It is thought the star, who is well known for his love of golf and has cut his handicap from 'three or four' to just 0.1 since retiring from football, was staying at Gleneagles. Famous faces are often spotted at the quaint, bustling town - with luxury hotel often playing host to the likes of Rod Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence and prince William and Kate.
