Blake Cashman shares hilarious message he gave to Vikings legend
When you are a kid on Halloween, there isn't much more you care about than your costume and the amount of candy in your bucket at the end of the night. Some kids are lucky enough to live in neighborhoods where some houses spoil kids with king size candy bars and it can leave a lasting impact.
It is something that Vikings linebacker Blake Cashman can attest to.
This week, Vikings legend, quarterback Daunte Culpepper, visited the team during OTAs and spoke with the quarterbacks, all of whom were not old enough to enjoy his best years with the team, outside of Brett Rypien. Despite that, there was one player on the team who made sure he made it up to Culpepper to let him know the impact he made on his childhood in the most hilarious way possible.
Blake Cashman grew up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and attended high school there before going to the University of Minnesota. He is a native kid through and through, so apart from him being able to call himself a Viking, he now can tell Culpepper thank you more formally for the proper Halloween treats all these years later.

Former Florida EDGE Jonathan Greenard cracks NFL's top 50 players ahead of 2025-26 season

The start of the 2025-26 NFL campaign is less than a month away, and things are starting to cook ahead of the nation's favorite gridiron game. While we count down the remaining days before the opening kickoff, Coral Smith has been curating its rankings of the top 100 players as voted by the players themselves heading into the new season. She recently released the cohort for the No. 50 to No. 41 rankings, which saw the first former Florida Gator to be named: edge defender Jonathan Greenard of the Minnesota Vikings, who checks in at No. 48. "Greenard signed a four-year contract to join the Vikings last offseason, putting big expectations on his shoulders to produce and aid in the pass rush out of the gate," Smith begins. "And Greenard did just that, establishing himself quickly in the Minnesota defense as a QB-hunting threat and part of the team's turnover-happy unit. Responsible for a quartet of takeaways himself, Greenard was rewarded for his impactful performance with his first Pro Bowl nod and a few points for Defensive Player of the Year voting," she continues. "Set to stay in Minnesota for the long term, Greenard figures to maintain his new key role in the defense going forward, especially after some significant free agency departures." NFL Pro Insight for Jonathan Greenard 2024 stats: 17 games | 59 tackles | 18 tfl | 12 sacks | 4 FF | 1 FR "Greenard was one of just two edge defenders in the NFL (alongside Myles Garrett) to record 50+ pressures, 10+ sacks, 25+ run stops (run tackle for a loss in EPA), and 10+ run stuffs," Smith notes. What Vikings coaches say about Greenard "We call him the closer," Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell told ESPN regarding Greenard during training camp. "How many times have we seen him win a one-on-one, or even with help from the back or the tight end, and he just wins and ends the drill?" "He's worked on his pass rush," adds defensive coordinator Brian Flores. "He's worked on setting the edge in the run game. But also: How do I set somebody up? I think he's that sort of unselfish player." What Greenard says about his progress "It takes a lot of humility to just say, 'Hey, I'm ready to learn today,'" Greenard told ESPN. "I'm trying to learn something every single day so I can just build up on my game, so that nobody can stop me. They may know I do a certain move, but I may have added something else to the move that they've never seen before. And at that point, you're balling. "Last year was my first year getting used to this system, so now I have a better understanding when I can be aggressive and then add on the ways I can set other people up," he notes. "Each year, I just continue to just learn something," Greenard continued. "You might feel like you know it all every single year — until you have another year and another year under your belt. I always say it's good to be punched in the mouth at times, to make you go back to the drawing board and make you understand why you love this stuff. "So I feel like I can take this thing as far as God will let me. I have a lot left in the tank." Taylor Swift's Timely Streaming Win Helps Her Album Become A Bestseller Again

Every December, it's common for Christmas songs to invade the Billboard charts, and as Halloween nears, several tunes — especially 'Thriller' by Michael Jackson — mount incredible comebacks. There aren't too many other tracks that enjoy annual surges in streams and sales that aren't connected to those two holidays, but Taylor Swift has landed one of the few. 'August,' featured on her album Folklore, returns to prominence as its namesake month nears and begins. Some years, the uptick is relatively small, while at other times, it's big enough to help the tune and the album it's featured on — and that's the case in 2025. Folklore Reenters Top Album Sales Chart Folklore is enjoying its biggest week in some time on the Billboard charts, thanks largely to increases in streams and sales of 'August.' At the moment, Folklore lives on four tallies, surging on three and returning to one. Five years after its release, Folklore is back on the Top Album Sales chart, appearing once again as one of the 50 bestselling titles in the country. The Grammy-winning effort lands on the list at No. 47 after selling more than 2,800 copies in the most recent finished tracking frame. Major Gains on Alternative and Rock Charts Swift's surprise release also surges on several other rankings. Folklore lives inside the top 10 on both the Top Alternative Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts, pushing to Nos. 4 and 9, respectively. It reappears inside the highest tier on the latter list, as last frame it sat at No. 14. The hugely popular project almost finds its way back inside the top 40 on the Billboard 200 as it jumps from No. 61 to No. 45. Consumption of the project grew by more than 14% from one frame to the next, as it moved 16,650 equivalent units compared to 14,600 units the week prior (per Luminate). Folklore Leads Swift's Album Chart Wins Swift sees eight of her albums appear on at least one Billboard chart apiece this week. Several titles, including The Tortured Poets Department, Reputation, and Red (Taylor's Version), live on two tallies at the same time. Folklore is easily the winner, as it appears on four rankings, doubling the total number of appearances of her other most successful projects in America at the moment. 'August' Drives Folklore's Seasonal Popularity Somewhat surprisingly, while consumption of the song 'August' is largely to thank for the success of Folklore, the song itself does not appear on any Billboard charts at the moment. The tune was never pushed as a single, but remains a fan favorite nonetheless. 'August' reached No. 23 on the Hot 100 and gave Swift one of her first top 10 hits on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart in its initial heyday. Folklore's Grammy-Winning Legacy When Folklore arrived in July 2020, it became Swift's seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, where it debuted with more than 846,000 equivalent units, making one of the largest opening sums in recent memory at the time. It went on to win Album of the Year at the Grammys – another such success for the singer-songwriter – and has remained a top performer ever since, helped by tracks like 'Cardigan,' 'The 1,' and 'Exile' alongside 'August.'

In the Vikings' first action since falling to the Los Angeles Rams in January's Wild Card Weekend, they defeated the Texans 20-10 at U.S. Bank Stadium. Huber, who logged 55 snaps at right guard, pocketed a 94.7 overall grade from PFF for his performance in the victory. The former Badger was the only Viking on either offense or defense to earn a PFF grade over 90.0. Center Michael Jurgens (80.0), wide receiver Jordan Addison (79.6), offensive tackle Walter Rouse (78.4) and wide receiver Myles Price (76.8) rounded out the top-end contributors on the offensive end. With Huber in action, Minnesota accumulated 86 rushing yards and one score on the ground on Saturday while allowing just two sacks and seven tackles for loss. Huber arrived in Minnesota as an undrafted free agent back in April. The Ohio native spent a pair of seasons in Madison, logging 25 starts at right guard as a key piece of a strong offensive line unit. Prior to his stint with UW, Huber laced up under Luke Fickell with the Cincinnati Bearcats from 2020-22. There, he played 20 games and notched honorable mention All-AAC accolades as a redshirt sophomore in 2022. Huber will look to continue his strong play in Minnesota's next preseason contest against the New England Patriots on Aug. 16. He is currently listed as the No. 2 option at right guard behind Will Fries. Continued strong play ahead of the regular season could shift the former Badger's snap counts down the line.
